I love Luna's image song. For the longest time, I thought Keiko Han actually sang it herself, but I was apparently wrong. O.o


If they ever make a Codename: Sailor V OVA, Route Venus totally needs to be the theme for it.

Oh Jupi! Tuxie's anime image songs are so adorable. I love them a lot.


However, one of my favorites is Route Venus because its a fun upbeat song that is actually quite sad and really fitting for Minako's character.

His songs are especially endearing to me, because it's like he is saying all the things he couldn't say in the anime. >_<

I agree and I honestly think the image songs are a necessity in a show like Sailor Moon, the feelings of all the characters are so pure and honest that I feel they can only be represented properly through song. For example we get hints that Minako has two faces throughout the anime, that she seems happy on the surface but there's something much darker and sadder beneath her exterior, but its never really completely explored much in the anime beyond specific trials in love and friendship, however most of her anime songs however are really just quite depressing, even when they sound upbeat like Route Venus, there's just an underlying current of a very worried and lonely young woman.

I need to say that my current second favorite character image song is Sailor Jupiter's We Believe You. It has become my absolute favorite Jupiter song (and the karaoke version of this song is also amazing)

Route Venus (which was already post), annnd Ginga Ichi Mibun Chigai na Kataomoi (One-sided Love), Seiya's image song.



Although I haven't heard all the image songs. Fire Soul Love is also pretty good too, but sometimes I like and sometimes I don't. 8V

I forgot to mention Ginga Ichi Mibun Chigaina Kataomoi earlier but I actually like that song a lot. Shiho Niiyama's voice fitted the melody well.

I enjoy that songs Mayo but Galaxia Gorgeous will still win for me .

I only now noticed that most of my favorite character image songs are all composed by Takanori Arisawa who also composed the background music of the anime. His music seems to fit the characters very well, at least in my opinion.

I forgot to mention that I love how Usagi's Ai wo Shinjiteru has a more mature sound in it than Usagi's earlier image songs. It shows how much she has grown up and whenever I listen to that song, I think about manga Usagi or the Usagi we saw in the Stars season. In my opinion, Ai wo Shinjiteru is Kotono Mitsuishi's best SM song.

You can also find the prologue and poem translations from the same site by searching for the CD album. After you have opened the CD album page the translation links should be located on the right side of the page, named after the character whose poem/prologue the particular track is.

My favorite anime character songs honestly come from Inuyasha from the incredible instrumentals and personality and situation themes.

Although I wouldn't be able to appreciate all the wonderful songs if it weren't for first Sailor Moon^^
