| i read a piece of it. gave up on the fourth "holy s***". i mean, STOP BEING SO REPETITIVE, WOMAN!
and the BDSM scene isn't remotely treated in the correct form. and it's a really abusive relationship. i mean, she stops doing things because HE WON'T LIKE IT? screw that!
well, as you can see, i have a very strong opinion about this book...
sorry if anyone here likes it...

| I read the trilogy just so I knew what the ladies at work were getting all fangirly over. All I can say is I want I want my time back!
And no, they don't get better.
Thankfully this brave woman is reading and thoroughly dissecting this book. She's a romance author herself.

| I'm not even giving this trilogy the time of day..I've heard some of the metaphors used in it and I'm like...Wow...a 4 year old could think of a better metaphor. Plus a friend of my mom's read it and said it wasn't worth anyone's time. The only good thing this book would be good for is using it as an example in an essay about the increasing popularity of erotic fan fiction |

| I just can't understand how this book is apparently making it easier for woman to talk about sex. Ana is one of the most prudish 'heroines' (and I use that term lightly) that I've ever seen! Never once is anything ever described by it's proper name or some silly pseudonym. It is also one of the most bland erotic works of fiction I've ever read. The BDSM is all wrong and it's really hardly in it.
What I don't get is how blatant this book is at stealing from Twilight. As a fanfic this is alright, but how can you get away with only changing the names and selling it? E.L. James is full of it when she said she rewrote it. I have her original Master of the Universe fic set. It's identical to Fifty Shades except for the names. |

| I'm gonna use my best judgement here and say that this topic is a little.. breaking the rules. While not directly stated, PG-13 is the limit of our content here; we aren't allowed to swear here or use imagery for avatar/signatures that breaks the PG-13 limit in the spirit of Sailor Moon being a show that appeals to young girls. The Fifty Shades trilogy is erotic in nature; So in respect for that spirit, I'm gonna lock this topic. |
