Yes, no, maybe so?

I have my WiiU preordered!!

I just got my wii last Christmas and the latest console I've gotten is a 3DS.

I know I won't be getting any new consoles anytime soon..I'm pretty content with my N64 and Wii.

Hootie please tell us how the WiiU is

Well, as a collective my fiancé and I are relatively up-to-date on the latest consoles, but it'll take us awhile to purchase the new ones. I know he's been eyeing the PS Vita, recently, and I've been eyeing the Xbox360 for awhile (but can never justify the purchase). I haven't even thought about the WiiU.

I'm super excited for the Wii U!! Nintendo is stepping up their game and I think this is going to be best console ever!!!

Sadly I can get one right now because it's very pricey.

I have not much faith in Nintendo as far as consoles go. I looooove my 3DS though. Too bad it got lost/stolen (most likely stolen...)....

I'm going to see how this launch goes though because it has me slightly interested but not interested enough to blow $350.

I'm going to wait buy it. The Wii U will have HD games!!! I can get Assassin Creed 3!!!

But you can buy AC3 on the Xb360 or PS3 in HD now....

that is what kinda fails about the WiiU. xD

Well not for me because I dont own those consoles!! I believe it's a lunched title.

I'm content with my PS3 right now but I do wonder what the PS4 will bring to the table. I won't get it until 10 years later though.

So from what I understand (i haven't really read anything, just what people at work have been telling me), Sony will most likely release an new system this October and Microsoft will be releasing theirs in November. This holiday could prove to be a big one for the gaming industry!

The last most recent consoles I got was the Xbox 360 and DS (the latter of which I only bought for the Phoenix Wright series). I still haven't played anything of the PS3 (though the only game I'd really want on that would be Metal Gear Solid 4) and haven't been keeping up too well on the latest of consoles. Money is tight and I doubt I'll be buying anything new any time soon.

We got an XBox 360 a few years ago for Christmas when the PS2 checked out on us. The only games we play on it are Minecraft, Skyrim, Oblivion, Arkham Asylum, and Lego Batman (which has died due to XBox malfunction).

But I'm dying for a PS3 because of the new Kingdom Hearts rerelease... and then I found out about the Jak and Daxter HD collection that was released last year. Also, Final Fantasy games in the store? YES.

Yeah, my consoles mostly get used for multimedia devices more than anything. But damn, do i love the ps3...its got a great selection of RPGs and playstation plus is the most amazing service ever. Cheaper than xbox live and you get free games. hell yes.


I kinda honestly don't think i"ll be buying the next gen consoles. I'm happy with what I have and I haven't had much time to spend playing the games I want to on them... so... yeah.

I'll post information as I get it on the new systems from work, like prices, release dates, etc. Even though you can get most of your info from sites like kotaku.

Everything I keep hearing about the PS4 has it set for a release date at the end of the year with a starting price of four hundred dollars. Which is a lot more reasonable than the starting price of the PS3 but still too rich for my blood.

yeah that seems to be the estimated price point going around, but Sony hasn't officially announced anything as far as prices go. Heck, at their conference back on Feb 20th they didn't even show pictures of the console, just the controller and some games. xD

The console is going to be rubbish, I can just see it now. Sony hasn't been on top of the gaming world since the PS2. For the past couple of years the number one spot has been fought between Microsoft and Nintendo.

Are the rumors that Apple is considering going into the console business true? Be kind of funny considering I once asked what people thought an Apple console would look like if they decided to make one to compete with Microsoft.

Apple isn't into gaming. Chances are slim, and it'll probably fail.

The novelty of an Apple gaming console will extend to its looking like a mutant Storm Trooper helmet.

This is the first I heard of a 'Steambox'. What is it?

Steam (the client made by Valve, for buying and downloading PC games, which often has amazing sales and what not) is coming out with its own console. Which will play all Steam games, use a controller, etc. Dunno when its coming out, but when it does. Bye bye Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony. *wave*
