I'd need help, guys. Basically, I have to write an essay about the Social-Democratic party in Germany during the 20th century, but I'm lacking some infos I can't seem to find anywhere:
Why were the workers (and people in general) tempted to vote for the NSDAP (Nazi party) back in 1933? I'd need at least two or three reasons ^^"

I don't see how the economic crisis of 1929 or what happened with the Treaty-of-Versailles could have anything to do with it.

Mayo the treaty versailles is a very big reason why people turned toward Hitler! It was very unkind to Germany and they had to pay off a lot of money and lost some land as well. So naturaly the Germans didn't like the treaty. Hitler used this opportunity to gain support.

Oh also the market crash of 1929 effected the world not just America.

Well, german workers were the first victims of the crash, yeah, and the treaty was rather crual, and a quarter of the population was unemployed, but why would they vote for the NSDAP rather than the SPD? The democratic party was much more taking care of the condition of workers, right? (Though they didn't really dare to stop following the treaty) and they weren't to blame for the hyperinflation ... But I think I have my first reason! Thanks!
