Well, I have two opportunities for an internship and I can't pick one. Neither are paid and neither have direct relation to my degree.

Should I choose an internship with the local fire department (ample opportunity for homework, young buff men, further away) or a government certification agency (experience in a government agency, four minutes away, ample opportunity to meet new people and learn new things)?

Anthropology - the study of humans. I'm specifically specializing in (Mesoamerican) archaeology.

I feel like you should go with the government one because you'll be in contact with a lot of people. Trying to connect your major with that seeing how it's the study of people. However, which one sounds more interesting to you?

I was sort of leaning the same way and it also sounds more interesting. I'm contacting the director again to see if I can still have it.

I'd go with the government one. I would think it would look better on a resume than the fire dept.
