Hello my fellow debating and theorizing moonies
It has come to my attention that we are forgetting to add 'theory' or 'debate' to our threads here! No one is in trouble or anything, but I realize the rules list is a long, seemingly daunting one. So I am putting a reminder topic right here to include
'theory' or
'debate' in thread titles.
What does this mean? You just go like this:
"
Debate: Usagi or Chibiusa (who is better)" or "
Theory: Why are there two water based senshi" or whatever.
A little lost and don't know how to properly title your thread? Never fear! Just ask yourself a couple of questions.
1. Am I asking a question to figure something out and want to hear other ideas?
A: If yes, it's probably a
theory.
2. Am I comparing two things to one another? Such as UsaMamo and HaruMi: who is better?
A: If yes, it's probably a
debate.
3. Do I want to hear various ideas of others on a topic along with voicing my own? (like headcanons, for example)
A: If yes, it's probably a
theory.
4. Do I have an idea that I side with while I know others side with another popular idea instead? Want to make your point and one up the other in a
friendly discussion?
A: If yes, it's probably a
debate.
5. Do I have a 'why' or 'why not' question?
A: If yes, it's probably a
debate.
Basically, if you have a question and you want to hear other people's ideas along with your own, it's generally a theory. If you have a comparison between something or something you side with and want to make your point on, it's generally a debate.
I hope this helps you all if you have any kind of future predicaments here in the 'Theories and Debates' section. If you have any further confusion, just shoot me a PM and I will do my best to help you. Remember: there's nothing wrong with double checking/verifying and there's
no stupid questions.
