| Where do I even begin when it comes to talking about LSD: Dream Emulator? LSD is a Playstation One game that was released in Japan in 2001. It was based off the dream journals of Hiroko Nishikawa that he kept for a decade. I could sit here and explain the game in its entirety, but instead I'll just post some pictures to get the conversation going.I'm putting the pictures in a spoiler because some of these pictures are considered scary. - Spoiler:
So why is this game scary? For multiple reasons....for one this game hits the dip in the Uncanny Valley. The Uncanny Valley is a psychological term/theory that explains the uneasy and scared feeling humans feel when something isn't human, but is trying to be. Like in the first picture, that...thing...has a nose...eyes...ect. but it's not human...it looks human, but it obviously is not. Second reason is the games ability to be random and abrupt. This game is played in a first person view so if something is there...you won't see it until you...well see it. If something is behind you, you won't see it until you turn around and see it. This game is known for scaring people in a non-traditional manner and can even cause panic attacks, so don't play it if you are prone to such. |

| This gameis so strange, hilarious, and creepy all at the same time. I've only really watched people play it, and that's probably enough for me. |
