| Hi guys, it's 2 in the morning EST and what better time than this then to join a Sailor Moon forum? Haha  Actually, I've had my eye on The Galaxy Cauldron for a little while, but it just wasn't til now that I joined. I guess a little about me, I'm 20 and an art student in Baltimore studying illustration. I've always loved Sailor Moon since I was a kid and I got into the fandom around 5th or 6th grade when I discovered anime and rediscovered Sailor Moon. I started reading fan fics on A Sailor Moon Romance and I was really disappointed when it got shut down, though I hadn't been making regular visits at that time. Despite going to art school, I don't actually have any friends that are into Sailor Moon, or really into Sailor Moon like I am! I'm hoping to make some like minded friends here that I can gush about characters, episodes, etc. I am an adamant shipper of  and after Usagi, Mamoru is my favorite hands down. c; This summer, besides constantly working, I've been rewatching SM starting from Classic, past R, and now I'm on S (episode 116 to be precise). I run an art blog/tumblr and I also do a terrible job managing an ask Mamoru tumblr (I update in spurts) |

I like Mamo x Usa too of course. It's a beautiful love story but I like the controversy around this Seiya x Usagi semi relationship also If we could almost call it that way...

| HAHA actually I'm in the same boat as RoRo, I am not a Seiya fan either! Really, I'm just not a fan of her fans that despise Mamoru, also Mamoru isn't in Stars which is heart wrenching T_T |

That is so cool that you are learning illustration! I got my Masters in Fine Arts and unfortunately illustration was frowned upon by my professors. But I love illustration so much. Have you ever seen the artist James Jean's work? My. God. I love him. Your artistic style is really unique too! It slightly reminds me of my friend algae-bloom, who you should definitely check out. ^^ |

Actually, I'm really a general fine arts major concentrating in illustration. GFA gives me the flexibility of basically building my own major while illustration is what I want to focus on after school. Yeah, sometimes it seems like fine arts and illustration world really clash, but I hope to find the perfect medium for myself. I definitely have peers that hate on illustration or fine arts. And yeah James Jean is super cool! I love his work, your friend has really great work too. She has a great sense of negative space, color, and textures which are all aspects I'm interested in. | You are SO lucky that your school allows illustration. >_< Gyah. When I was at school my professors told me that I should transfer to graphic design school if I liked illustration so much and it was so offending. I have a BA in Art History so I appreciate all kinds of art and it was upsetting to know that I could not study both classic art and illustration. So again, I am really happy for you. ^^ That is so awesome that you like James Jean! And my friend's art as well. I am not a big color person but she uses it in such an extraordinary way, like the German Expressionists (one of my favorites) and a mix of Egon Schiele. I envy people that can understand and use color.  Any other artists that you like? |
