Is anybody else a little ticked that Diana only appeared in SuperS? I mean, in the manga, she appeared WAY back in the Black Moon Arc, or the R arc. She's so adorable and she actually plays a much bigger role in the manga.

I think Diana's relationship with King Endymion is especially endearing. And I find that interesting as well. She seems to be closer to him than Luna and Artemis are (and ever will will be) to Mamoru. I think it may have to do with the fact that Luna and Artemis never had any reason to get close to Mamoru (although they do appear more comfortable with him in the manga than in the anime). Diana may be closer with the King because she grows up in the royal palace so she is around him more often. But in general, I am not quite sure. Is it just me thinking that though? And I am trying to remember my timelines, but isn't she the King's companion during the time that Crystal Tokyo is destroyed? The King, Chibi-Usa and Diana are the only ones awake, ne?

Diana's role is also cute because she is so little but because she is from the future, she has so much wisdom and knowledge. It would have been nice to see more of her in the anime.

She even volunteers to guard the Time-Space Door in Pluto's place. And I also agree that the relationship between Diana and Mamoru is cute too. I mean, when she first appears in the anime, who does she go to to clear up the initial mixup?

This makes me wish so badly that we had some Future Crystal Tokyo chapters! It would have been awesome to see little tidbits here and there. ^^

I wish Diana had shown up in R and S like she was supposed to. Diana is my fav little kitty. She's adorable and really sweet. But, I do love her random quotes from SuperS. She's wise and knowledgeable of the future, but when it comes to everyday normal things, she can be really obvlivious and makes funny statements. I should find some quotes of hers. XD

I also really wish that we'd been given more glimpses into the future utopia that is Crystal Tokyo. The vast majority we see is when it is war-torn. I want to see happy, typical Crystal Tokyo!

I think this line may have only happened in the anime (or the manga, my brain is fried) but I like how Diana says that sometimes the King and Queen would both conveniently get sick at the same time and were not able to attend meetings/outings. XD It was an adorable hint that Usagi and Mamoru still keep a bit of their "normal" side even as King and Queen. ^^

That was in one of the episodes in the anime! I remember that I laughed hard. It's SO them!

Aww yes! In the anime, Chibiusa and Diana could've had gone on awesome adventures together! It's such a shame that they didn't include her early also later in the anime.

There really was no excuse NOT to include her in the R arc. I mean, she's Luna and Artemis's future daughter; that's a pretty important plot point!

It was probably due to budget. They already had to add in Pluto and King Endymion. I guess a little cat was just too much. -_-

I wish that they had brought Diana in at the same time as in the manga: it was kind of fun how they layered it, with the old friends Usagi and Luna *both* finding out about their future kids at the same time.

I totally agree! It was so cute how it was layered like that. Diana is just adorable.

Not only is Diana left out, but Usagi's whole earthly family is nonexistent in Sailor Moon Stars. Like seriously, remember that one episode where Seiya come over to help house sit? Plot bunnies!

I was disappointed that the anime didn't have the "coronation ceremony" (as Luna called it, I believe) which was in the manga.
You see all three cats human forms there, as well as each scout in their princess dresses.
Diana as a human is so cute too. :< Another big thing they left out.

I must agree! I would have loved to see Artemis, Luna, and Diana in their human forms. Along with Sailor Cosmos as an anime! Le sigh.

Why would Mamoru even think that appropriate to ask her that?? She is practically human -- she has the mental capability of a human girl, she is just in a cat's body. And she is a child, after all. Goodness.

I always felt Mamoru felt fatherly to Diana, like Chibi-usa. So maybe he feels like she is his child too. I took baths/showers with my dad. Either that or he still maybe just sees them as cats? Or perhaps he was just teasing her?

I think he was teasing her because she calls him "sir" and acts like his protector. Maybe Mamoru wanted her to relax and enjoy herself.

B-chan: Yah, I can see Mamoru looking at Diana in a fatherly way. But she's not ... his child, ya know? You don't bathe with some one else's child. XD

And Nina, I think you may be right. I remember Mamoru often telling Diana that she did not need to be so formal with him, so that may have been what was occurring in the scene. Frankly, I have only watched the Super S season once and I do not remember the context of that scene.

But I love how Diana is the only one (besides Chibi Usa who may be biased) who knows Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion. It is like she has an inside knowledge and relationship with them that no one else has. She is like this little bundle of wisdom.

I do find it cute that Mamoru, as a boyfriend to Usagi, who therefore has to put up with four teenage girls, a child, and two cats as added company, becomes a bit of a kitty friend in the future as King. XD He is often seen carrying around Luna or Artemis (which must be a very strange experience for an eighteen-year-old guy who just wants to be with his girl friend) and then as King he forms a close relationship with another cat, Diana. I feel like those two should have their own mini fandom. Hee.

Episode 136. One of my favorite SuperS episodes: ninja Usagi + naked Mamoru + blushing Diana + jealous Yuuichirou = epic win.

If Diana had more lines we would know more about Endymion and Serenity.

Ohhh, I feel so stupid! I had downloaded that episode but because I can't stand the SuperS season, I skimmed through it and then deleted it. XD I must have missed that part. Luckily for me, I have not emptied by Recycle Bin yet.

Yes, yes, yes, I love that so much! I saw it in one of the episodes. Luna's face was priceless. XD But I love that bit of information so much because you get to see a glimpse of Usagi & Mamoru in their future serious roles. I love that even though Usagi has matured into a Queen and in a sense an untouchable being, she is still the same giddy, romantic girl that she used to be. Mamoru as well. Hee. So glad that they included that in the anime. It would have been such a loss if they had not.
