OOC:

The white haired girl that practically hid behind the newspaper had her brow furrowed in thought, not particularly liking her placement in the situation. She couldn't be everywhere at once, and they knew it. If it weren't for the fact that school was currently on suspension, things would be far worse. Especially if the reporters managed to get any better footage than they already had.

Akira frowned as she turned the page, earning a grumble of discontent from Kou at her doubt. "Whether or not they label you a vigilante is unimportant - without you, the entire city would've already been conquered," the spirit pointed out, while his charge twisted the chain of the locket that held his consciousness.

She sighed, shaking her head and folding the paper. It landed with a muffled thud on the cafe table. "I am only one person, Kou, and not even the warrior you already make me out to be in the first place. I'm not sure who you had in mind, but I doubt it was me," the reluctant senshi returned, even her thoughts sounding weary. But seeing as he had already confirmed that no one else could take up her mantle, there was no fighting it. It lived as long as she would, which didn't seem like it would be much longer at the moment.

If it weren't for the fact that her father was out of the country again at one of his digs, he would've found out already about her unusual hours that being a senshi forced her to keep. And evidence of the injuries, try as she might to camouflage them with makeup and treat them on her own. Some would scar for life. But there was no explaining them to a hospital or emergency clinic.

Interaction seemed limited these days. The decision on placing his loyalties with the Dark Kingdom had seemed rather simple at the time. Overall, it was so much more suitable to Iida's personality that it would've been almost impossible to resist. No longer was there a need to share personal information, or expose other human emotions he now saw as weak. How could anyone want the world to privy of love talk?

Iida had always been somewhat reserved, and private person. In his heart there was always a sense of romantic curiosity, a weakness and vulnerability, not something he had desired to share with the rest of the world.

The streets in the early morning were busy here in Tokyo. They were all full of the buses, taxi's, and all other forms of public transportation. The cool winds could be felt as he pushed forward, weaving his way in and out of the crowds as if he had somewhere important to be. Iida looked out of touch, being one of the only civilians at the moment that didn't have an umbrella. Iida's clothes were damp from the light rain he had experienced upon teleporting back to this city.

Shifting his vengeful orbs up at the street sign he came to a quick halt, watching the signal come for him and the others to yield and wait their turn. Shifting his weight he spun on his heel to look at the shop next to him. Iida could see his reflection in the glass windows and stepped forward, narrowing his eyes. The scar that stretched alongside his cheek was clearly visible, noticeable even from a block away it seemed.

Iida took another step forward, coming just before the window and turning his face aside for another view. His hand slipped from the inside of his wool jacket pocket and came to press against the tender skin of his face. As his fingers pressed along the wound he gritted his teeth, a peeved wolf-like growl escaping through his parted lips. Anger began to rise within, followed by flashbacks of his previous encounter with the senshi. Naive because of age, and corrupted by the powers granted by the Dark Kingdom, Iida had underestimated the power of the senshi and left himself almost defenseless against one of her attacks.

The scars are not on my face you pesty sailor scout, the scars are on my brain. You will feel my wrath in the next encounter.. You will be easy to destroy, for I am not something out of survival necessity..

His concentration was broken as he saw the crowd begin to move behind him from the reflection of the mirror. The rain began to pour harder, his cloaks quickly becoming soaked. Iida sighed and picked up his pace, one more pushing his way through the people. A small cafe came into site, and he decided to shelter would be best to gather his thoughts and ideas for the next move. He would need to report back with news soon, and going back empty-handed was surely asking to be punished. At last the general came within reach of the door, he pulled it towards his body, and gracefully slipped within.

OOC:

Rather than argue with the spirit that had taken to her, Akira was once again thumbing through the paper. But after having gone over the article more than once, she was now taking a pen to it. Scratching out margins on lines that had a bit too much educated guessing, making notes on how to better avoid that in the future, and circling recounts of the past events with her currently unnamed opponents.

By the time she was done, half of the front page was covered in scribbles or other markings. Akira sighed as she took another swig of her hot chocolate, intentionally resting her hand over the picture that was so proudly displayed for the world to see. If it weren't for the fact the city considered her an enigma, they probably wouldn't be so curious as to who she really was. But their curiosity would kill the cat - namely, her.

It wouldn't take a genius for them to connect the two and two together if they saw her outside of her senshi form, and that would spell her demise in short order. The white haired girl idly rubbed the tender gash on the inside of her arm as she reviewed the paper one more time, not noticing the entrance of the latest patron immediately.

And it wasn't until she glanced up that she took note of the uncannily familiar scar. The reluctant warrior immediately redirected her gaze, hoping to avoid drawing his attention. But rather than keeping the article of interest in plain sight, she opened the paper to the crossword and set to work on it. It would be quite like her luck, as it seemed to be going lately, if he had seen all the margins.

But drawing a scene in the middle of a quaint little cafe wasn't on her agenda for that morning. Nonetheless, the white haired warrior continued to watch him out of the corner of her eye, her suspicions about it being one in the same person growing with Kou's own comments.

As Iida stepped within the cafe his eyes began to scan his surroundings. It wasn't as crowded as it should be at this hour, being most likely due to the weather. He took note of the occupants, but made nothing of it at the time. Both of Iida's hands came up from his side and he pushed back the long raven black hear from his face, and then wiping the rain from his face. He really had little business even being here, but his thoughts remained constantly interupted and he needed a place where he could clear his mind. This would have to do for now.

Iida has been greeted by the cashier who stood eagerly behind the counter to take his order, but he failed to make any acknowledgement of her. Instead he simply passed by, looking down at the newspapers in the corner that had piled up over the week. His hand flipped through the countless pages until at last coming to something of interest. 'Random attacks throughout the city', it read in a large font. Iida took the newspaper and made way for one of the unoccupied tables.

The minutes passed, an he appeared as if he were reading the paper, though he was actually still lost in thought. An elderly man entered and Iida looked up from his paper as he heard the entrance bell ring, making direct eye contact with him. A sense of malice could be detected the generals harsh gaze, and the older man looked back nervously, but said nothing. He then moved away to the cashier. Moments later a second figure appeared in the doorway, adorned in business attire and closing his umbrella.

He continued to scan from person to person until at last something caught his attention- the one with white hair. It was an uncommon hair color for most in this area. Iida pushed himself up from the table, slowly approaching her from behind. His steps were small and silent, making an attempt to be unheard as he drew near. Coming just a couple feet behind her table he stopped, gazing down at her physical features. An alarm went off inside, almost certain it was her! Iida took another single step forward, parallel in angle with the woman now, looking to the more noteable features aside from her hair- the small scars on her arm.

It was her.

He stood there in silence, aware that any onlookers may find this scene rather strange. However, that didn't matter. Flashbacks filled his mind took in a deep breathe and anticipated the next move should she recognize him as well.

The general had been in an offensive state for the majority of the battle. Iida recklessly threw attack after attack in her direction, but to no avail. The senshi's hands lifted to hold out her chain as he countered with one of his more powerful attacks, hurling a powerful ball of dark energy towards her. Just before impact a shield of white aurora surrounded her. Iida laughed manically and knew her destruction was near. Overconfident in his powers he had failed to notice the chain hurling a bright flash in his direction. His eyes widened, making a last attempt to teleport and avoid being hit- but his timing would be a little too late. He had just begun to move out of it's path before it struck the side of his face.

He winced at the memory of it, the hot and agonizing rush from ripped flesh. With an awful cry of pain and despair he swung his blue cape around the front of his body- and disappeared. Iida teleported back to the building behind him, standing at the roof's edge and peering down at the female warrior. The other generals would mock him for making such a clumsy mistake.

Iida walked off from her table, knowing that she would have recognized him, too. The shock of the memory made him turn his attention to the reflection in the window within the door. The face he saw looked younger, without the scar, and once handsome.

The rainfall was still coming down hard, but the general embraced it as an evil grin took over his features. He stared hard through the large window and to her table. His hand lifted from his side and before his body, his index and middle fingers curling back and forth as a gesture of invitation. Revenge was within his grasp.

Iida was more than ready for a showdown.

Though her hand covered part of the unhealed gash across her upper arm, it wasn't yet recovered enough to start masking the tell tale redness with rouge as she had been. Doing so would surely infect it - but recent though the injury was, it seemed that the very person who put it there was quite aware of that fact. The muscles along her stomach tensed as his gaze bore into her, studious.

"... I do believe we have our man," the spirit in her henshin locket acknowledged as Akira slowly shifted in her seat, the malice in the man's gaze wholly obvious as he gave her a cool once-over from the top of his own paper. Though he may have appeared to be standing in indecision, when he folded the paper and moved to the door, the challenge was presented. The inclination of his head, and a subtle gesture of the hands.

It was only after he exited the immediate doorway that she stood, taking the cover of the newspaper and folding it into a small square, shoving it in her pants pocket as she went. While one knew, there was no sense in leaving 'evidence' behind. She bit the inside of her lip, swallowing, before moving to join her challenger. There was no getting out of it now - she would have to kill him. But stomaching that would be difficult.

The white haired senshi was braced both against the cold and attack as she exited the cafe, a following gust of wind cutting through her loose waves and proceeding to chill her neck. The fingers of one hand curled around the locket at her neck as her dark cobalt gaze searched for him, slipping into the nearest hint of seclusion she could find. A cramped alleyway between the nearest buildings, barely wider than her shoulder's width apart. But she had no doubt that she would need to transform.

Iida grew eager as he stood outside in the rain. The civilians that passed looked at him funny, but yet had failed to break his concentration from the woman. His icy stare followed her movements as he looked past the cafe's oval window and to the very table she sat upon.

Tilting his head back he shifted his eyes towards the sky and closed them briefly, feeling the drops of rain fall upon his face. Thoughts of his past flooded his mind. He wanted to be like his father, a great warrior and hero, adored by both women and men. The almighty powerful and grotesque figure of Metallia quickly replaced the image in his mind. The power she had given him would soon make all these things possible.

Starting to crouch downward, Iida would push hard into the hard floor below him, sending his body up into air and doing a backflip. He landed atop on of the taxis in motion and the driver slammed on the breaks. It was his attempt at displaying his levels of strength, suppleness, and balance to strike fear in the senshi. The car honked its horn but was masked with all the noise in the heavy traffic. Iida laughed, the sound rich and musical. He saw the white haired woman enter the alley, hoping to hide her identity. At last he broke his gaze, taking note of the small metal trash can in the street corner.

Lifting his hand from his side he placed his palm upward, clearing his mind and beginning to concentrate hard on the object. It began to shake, slowly rising from the street. Iida moved his hand to the left, dragging the trash can with him. His well known mischevious grin overtook his expression as he turned his palm and pushed in the direction of the alley. It flew through the air and struck hard against the wall of the alleys entrance. His telekinesis powers were mild compared to the other Dark Kingdom's generals, but he was sure he could've hit her like a bulls-eye had he wanted.

His hand lowered back down to his side as he waited for her transformation. Iida had gotten what he wanted so far- to draw attention. Almost all of the surrounding civilains had came to a quick halt after taunting the woman with the trash can. This time, she would be the one to make the first move.

His appearance was swift and sudden - vaulting from the rooftop overhead to land on a taxi with perfect ease, hardly disturbed at all by the sudden slamming of brakes. Akira's eyes narrowed in response, while barely finishing her transformation in time to react to the trash can being thrown at her. Half out of instinct, half out of Kou's crash course training, the white clad senshi lashed out - the warrior's booted foot connecting dead on with the center of the trashcan as it bounced of the side of the wall and at her, knocking it back into the sidewalk with the spinning backheel.

Though Kou said something about reaction time proving she was more capable than she admitted, Akira's dark eyed gaze bore into her opponent's. He had initated the challenge, and now there was no avoiding it. Not since he had seen her civilian side. But the very fact that so many civilians surrounded them presented a problem. They would be in the crossfire.

She waved an arm to the side as she emerged from the alleyway, gesturing for those nearest to skedaddle. "Go. I don't want you involved in this," Akira stated clearly, raising her voice enough to be heard. Though the 'you' was a generalization, it was understood quickly enough. As her gloved hand passed the garter at her side, the crystals began to glow. And her Astral Chain was already forming as she brought it back around.

Many found Iida an uncomfortable man to deal with these days, his constant anger making him unpleasant to deal with. His manner was always confrontational and harsh, and his conversations limited to only warfare and weapons. Without war and fighting he felt like a man without food and water, his soul starved.

The general's eyes widened as he watched her transformation, gazing briefly over the details of her fuku- which at last confirmed that she was the one. Her deflection of the trash can was anticipated, a spiteful laugh erupting from his lips as he watched in delight. Iida felt his weight shift below as the taxi moved several feet forward in the heavy traffic. He broke his concentration, gazing down for a split second, then leaping forward from the car. He landed with a soft thud upon the wet sidewalk, bending his knees as he landed to reduce the force of the impact.

A sort of deep, black blue seemed to color the air above him as a storm of terrific violence quickly approached. At first no flashes broke through the vast clouds, but there was a flickering light clearly visible in the distance. The wind increased with great intensity, blowing the various contents of now empty trash can across the sidewalks and into the street. As Iida began to push himself back to his full height he watched the radiating chain whip around her body. It looked all too familiar. In that instant his face became serious, eyes narrowing. His head turned aside, flashing the scar alongside his cheek she have given him in their previous encounter.

"Surely you aren't so naive as to think you can strike me again. Hmm?" A sense of malice could be detected in his words.

Iida wouldn't wait much longer for her to strike. His pupils became fixated as a glaze formed over his eyes, feeling the power of nefarious practice granted by Metalia flow throughout his body. Flashes of lightning lit up the enigmas sky followed by the crackling sounds of thunder, yet the general failed to move an inch, appearing to be in a trance as his body stiffened. A royal blue aurora began to radiate around his right hand, bringing it out before his body and facing his palm up to the sky. A round sphere grew from the aurora of same color, being only a few inches in diameter. It was hardly enough to strike down an opponent in one hit, but it would surely stun then should they be impacted.

The civilians pushed back, keeping their distance. Some even began to make their escape while they had the opportunity.

Her brow slowly arched. If he thought she was going to wait for a written invitation, someone had pulled the wool over his eyes. She slowly adjusted her grip on the Astral Chain, the opalescent white crystals catching every flash of light overhead. And the peal of thunder seemed to bring a smile to her opponent's lips.

Her dark eyed gaze took note as he stiffened, just slightly, before jerking into motion just as he did. The sphere of energy missed her by a hair. The white-clad senshi sidestepped, before the crack of nebula-base energy sounded when she snapped the chain. Iridescent aura scarcely missed him, before she lunged again - this time trying to contain him entirely. When she lashed the chain, it was meant to snap around any offending limb coming her way.

The time was passing slowly, and Iida tensed. Who would be the first to make a move? The actions between the two of them had gathered the attention of a rather large audience, and knowing what he did about these humans, it was likely more would soon be attracted. Such was the nature of these people. Too much exposure wouldn't be good. As the sphere of dark energy flew past the woman, it hurled further down the alley where it collided with a large metal waste container. A hurl of blazing lightning flashed across the dark skies once more as thunder roared above them. The collision of dark energy and the object resulted in it's destruction, sending small metal parts flying in different directions. The sound it produced was overtaken by the violent storm.

Before he even had the chance to prepare his next attack, that chain of energy had lashed out his way, just as it had done so in their last encounter. Iida barely escaped, dodging just to the left as the length of the chain flew through the air. The screams of the Tokyo civilians scratched his ears in annoyance, breaking his concentration. Iida heard the whip unleashed once more, the crackling sound almost intimidating.

Almost..

His reaction timing was better this round, teleporting as his mind had been in deep concentration to perform the move. Within a quick flash the general appeared in the center of a group near the alley's entrance. He was still in a safe distance from the woman, making him a difficult target. The screams poured into the air once more as he was now surrounded by the civilians. Many began to panic and run from the shock they were experiencing. Had Iida not been in the middle of a battle, he would engulf the delight of fear he delivered to these humans.

The crowd quickly dispersed, leaving him isolated once more. A loud laugh escaped from Iida's lips and spheres of dark energy formed within the palms of both hands, bringing them around his frame where they jointed into one. From a distance the the large sphere would look to be flashing before the dark features of his face. Behind it, however, one would be able to take note of the sadistic grin that hung upon his face.

Once more his concentration would be broken as he heard the sounds of sirens in the near distance. As seconds passed he held his composure, but the sounds were growing stronger. What was this?

Whatever it was, he was certain the battle would end soon.

Her chain came to a crack on thin air, wet droplets hitting the palely clad senshi in the face as she whirled to track the raven haired man. Her efforts were unneeded, those not so inclined to combat scurrying out of the way with no delay. Those whom had seen the news knew that the senshi's methods could be destructive. Just as much so as those she faced.

Akira's jaw clenched, unable to clearly strike him in the ensuing chaos. And he put that time to good use, having already gained a clear advantage by the time people parted. His next strike was already being released.

The white haired senshi was scarcely given a moment to recognize the sound of sirens before it slammed into her. Akira gave a gasp of pain as she hit the ground, the breath knocked from her lungs. She lay there for only a split second, before the forced warrior hauled herself to her feet. Wavy and now water-curling hairs stuck to the side of her face as the rainfall continued, only growing heavier.

Working in her favor, this time, as it helped obscure any "incriminating" evidence the media might obtain on her. Keeping them from getting any clear footage was almost as bothersome as her opponents - save for the fact that the media wasn't trying to kill her.

But the senshi's chest rose and fell with the remaining pain that curled through her body, her breathing no longer level. Even if she wasn't yet down for the count. However close the sirens were becoming. Her grip on the Astral Chain tightened.

The grin along Iida's lips grew as he witnessed the senshi being struck by his attack. For a second he took delight in the pain it inflicted, and already was moving in for what he hoped would be the finishing move. The crowd around him was dissolving , and the general was taking steps necessary to attack. The sounds of the sirens grew, coming in from multiple directions. Iida found himself now coming to a halt, and the senshi was rising back to her feet.

The astral lash was still present, reminding him of it's potential threat even from a distance. Being in the middle of the alley provided little room for error, and he knew already from the past not to underestimate the senshi. Iida gazed down the narrow path to meet her eyes, his own pupils distened as he could feel the dark energy flow within his slim frame. His body was in a hasty position, arms lifted in defensive manner that gave him protection. In that instant he allowed his arms to drop to his side and then staightened his back to reach his full height.

The grin eased from his features, and his eyes closed as he began to focus on gathering more energy. A single arm lifted from his side, hand clenched over his chest. His lips at last parted.

"You'll have to do better than that," he said calmy.

Iida's body faded from the alley as he teleported, eyes reopening as he now appeared on the buildings edge above her. A sense of melancholy settled on the general, so great it almost made him inattentive to the sirens that grew louder with each second that passed. He looked into the streets, seeing the cars with flashing lights on top that created the noise. Most of his past was still a blur, having slowly regained parts of his memory in recent weeks. He knew he had recognized these vehicles somewhere before. Regardless, his senses told him they were a threat.

The chances of finishing the fight were starting to look doubtful.
