| What do you guys think about them being plush toys? What about the random switches to CGI? What do you think would be best? |

| Hah, well I thought it was the lamest thing when I first saw a clip in high school. In fact, that's the reason I didn't watch it for a long time.
HOWEVER:
This isn't new for the Japanese. If anyone's ever seen Cardcaptor Sakura, Sakura's animal aid, Kero, takes the form of a stuffed...something when he's not in his lion form.
I wish they would've opted for something like Sabrina the Teenage Witch though. I loved animatronic Salem and I'm still sold on him seeing clips today. |

| You do bring up a good point, actually both your points are good! haha I totally forgot about CC Sakura's Kero! Also isn't the thing in Bleach also a toy? (Sorry I've never actually watched the show just images and stuff =P) Yeah, I agree also that the animatronic version would have been good too. I was a total Salem believer when I was little. But I am happy with the plush toys, I totally want my own Artemis! haha |

I just got done watching the series this month so it's fresh. To be honest I'm not a major anime lover. I've never seen Bleach or a commercial for it ha. I always lol when something happens to Artemis and Luna on PGSM. Example, Venus pranking Salem with the goodbye chocolate and new CD. Soooo endearing! And speaking of plush dolls... I always thought the ones inside the Arcade claw machine were cute (anime). Though they would probably look clunky IRL, I always wanted some! |

I think you meant Artemis haha.
I always loved those moments because Venus was normally so serious, so it was nice to see her fun side (I think I'll make a topic to compare personalities of PGSM vs. everywhere else).
Well some of the dolls were the scouts.. and those were made in real life, and some weren't too bad. Though I think in the machines they look a lot smaller like hand size. |

True, we saw way too much of Venus being anal and serious. I understand why Mars intervened in that one episode. I mean, you have got to have a problem when Mars (who's infamous for her serious nature) thinks you're being too focused! Exactly. The ones I see on ebay look like puffy fat versions of the scouts. I'd love a McDonald's sized toy! |

| You know, with the manga coming back in September, I think it'd be awesome if McDonalds brought out toys for their Happy Meals! I would so buy them XD |

| I didn't think the plush toy cats would leave a good impression for me. This is also why I waited to long to start watching it as well. But, as I have been recently watching the episodes I am not immune to it and find it kind of cute. |

| I thought it was kinda cheesy at first, but at the same time, was super adorable. I also loved their expressions or when in the toy form, they'd just pop up from around a corner so you don't see the person controlling it. XD
I went into PGSM expecting cheese and what not, so I was prepared and embraced it fully. Which is why I ended up really enjoying it through my first watch. Though it took me a while to see it all because I was watching it when it first started coming out in Japan and at the time i could never find torrents that would download fast enough before my dad would turn off the compute. XD In fact that was always a problem when I'd try to download anime. |

| I always thought it was cute. The switch from plush to CGI was always a bit weird to me, but as a fan of the live action, I always took those things in stride. B) I also thought it was more realistic... I always wondered exactly how Usagi and Minako were able to explain bringing home a random cat one day. A stuffed animal is much easier to keep. |

This is very true it's easier to find a stuff toy and keep it with out having to worry about you're mom not wanting it. And also how about all the times they had to sneak into places? A stuffed toy is also easier to get by than a real cat. What do you guys think of PGSM not including a human Artemis? |

| I wish they had! Would he have been a boy about Luna's age? Maybe he would have been Tuxedo Cat! OMG. I bet he would have been adorable. XD |

| Bump!
Aah, I wish so bad they had been animatronic like Salem. But, darn, Tuxedo Cat would have been cute, too. |

| I honestly don't mind them being plush toys. That never bothered me. Sure, the CGI could get a little clunky, but honestly, PGSM's positives really made up for it, so I eventually got used to it. I'm perfectly fine with it. |

| I laughed for a good solid 10 minutes when seeing the first episode with Luna's appearance. Yes, I do think the anamatronic cat would've been a great idea, but the plushies add a charm, and they are so so cute. I wish they'd released the PGSM cat plushies. |

| They did make plushies of PGSM Luna and Artemis! Buuuut they might be a bit expensive now a days since they were released back in like 2003/2004. ^_^ Scroll a bit on this page on Sailor Moon Collectibles and you'll see them. |

| I always felt this pang of sympathy for the actresses whenever they had to "act" with the still plushies... (Especially Luna's first appearance lawwwwl.) That must've been tough to do. I thought the CGI was ok since the other CGI elements in the show had a similar requirement to ignore the unrealistic look of them. For that reason, I think animatronic would have been out of place - you still have to sort of ignore your inner THAT'S NOT REAL alert either way, so may as well have it fit the look of the rest of the show. And then I guess at that point it's easier to animate a cute plush than a real cat.... (Though seeing them with real cats would have been kind of awesome.) |
