Hello everyone. My name is Yosenex, age 31, from Brooklyn, New York and I have been a Sailor Moon fan since that amazing Saturday morning in 1995 when I watched the "pilot" of the series. My passion for Sailor Moon and gaming, eventually lead me to studying Japanese and living out my dream to live in Japan as a member of the JET Program.

In addition to being a huge fan of Sailor Moon across all media, I enjoy video games of all sorts, especially RPGs and old school games. I love DDR, Karaoke, Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, and reading comics.

Currently I work as a librarian, but I hope to one day find a job that somehow involves video games. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!

What was it like living in Japan as a member of the JET program (what is that program, by the way)?

It's hard to sum up what it was like living in Japan, there were many great memories and experiences, and many challenges I had to face as well. It definitely improved my Japanese and made me feel like a true adult. JET is the Japan Exchange and Teaching program, which is run by the Japanese Ministry of Education. Under that program, I taught English in Japanese high schools for two years.

I will check out the RPG soon. I need more ways to be "productive" at work.

Hey, Yoshi! Welcome aboard! I'm the aforementioned "other" James; it was great to meet with you in person, and it's wonderful to see that you've decided to join us here on the forum.

I'm always immensely impressed by people who have live abroad, especially when they dedicate themselves to learning the local language and customs. Your teaching English in Japanese high schools sounds like a difficult yet rewarding task, evidently made by the way you speak of the JET program.

On a slightly lighter note, we'll definitely need to get into a discussion about old school video games---as well as Sailor Moon, of course!

little off topic, I've been really fortunate as a Sailor Moon fan and
have had the opportunity to meet many people involved with Sailor Moon
throughout the years. My ultimate dream is to meet Naoko Takeuchi one
day. I will try to meet Terri Hawkes at the Florida con this year.
