You're absolutely correct. Youtube time limit is 10 minutes so if we were to do a 2 minute max video, the video would have to be broken up in parts. If it's 1 minute or 1.5, the video still would be at least 15 minutes long.

And I completely see your point with the breakup the one song idea and like it. If we do that though, what song would we use that would be long enough to do something like the project we're planning? The ones I've seen like that are techno or DDR party mix songs.

Which editor program are you using, I use YouTube editor for my videos and i'm allowed 15 minutes in total time.
Also today my mom switched my internet to dial-up so now all videos and music load super slow.....

I am using windows movie maker.

I primarily use Adobe After Effects when I wanting to do masking amvs and Adobe Premiere when I am wanting to do hard beat amvs.

Hm...how about we compile a list of songs we think would be good matches and then narrow down our selection?

I doubt any of those mentioned programs, besides movie maker, is free.

If we do that, I may have a friend that'll help out on the mixing of the two songs. I'll just have to ask if he can do it when we decide on the songs.

I decided to take out the third song since we don't have that much time left. Since it seems theres only a few of us, we just need to decide how we want to split it.

I know for sure Saturn, Paprika, and I want to do this. Bunbun and Anjyu expressed some interest. Please confirm if you are still up to this.


My question to some of the more experienced, does anyone know if the files from SMC work or do i have to convert them to something else?

I am unsure. I normally just download videos from youtube then convert them to wmv using a youtube converter I downlaoded.

Is this idea even going to happen at this point? I am just asking since I am going away Saturday & Weds and I need to know if I should do this on Sunday or not since that is my free day.

If Paprika still wants to work on it. We could maybe just go down to the one song to make it easier. It seems its really only you, Paprika, and I who really want to work on it.

I rip video files from my actual DVDs so I can have high quality rips without having to download. I have never used SMC because I don't use Bittorrent anymore. ^^;

If you have a DVD player on your computer, you can rip using your dvds if you any have any ^^

Gotta convert all the files. Oh well! SMC has the R2 quality versions, so they are better quality than any DVD i own. And the only DVDs I have are the ADV uncut boxsets (one is bootleg too). Quality wise...those look terrible compared to what SMC has.
