Hallo! My name is Averi, I joined a while back but forgot because I always do and have just rediscovered these forums via simplysailormoon on Tumblr! I had a bit of account trouble at first, but that's all cleared up now. Place looks really interesting, can't wait to dive in

I'm already sorry for the novel and applaud you in advance for reading it all.

I'm 24, and after a break, am returning to school in the summer, looking to major in literature/computer science/marketing; something in that general area. I live in the USA (-5) and generally dislike the area, hoping to one day relocate to Seattle, New York City or London. I like writing, photoshop, art, programming, philosophy, science and more - I tend to be something of a Jack(ie) of all trades, really.

I've been a Sailor Moon fan for a long while now, having discovered the series in my youth. A few years back (maybe 8, now, gosh.) now I picked it back up and it has easily deep seated within my person as an epic epicness. I became thoroughly interested after playing the online TCG Moonlight Legend and have even run a TCG myself (which I failed at miserably for ADD issues, but lets not go there).

My favourite manga arc is a tie between Infinity and Black Moon (I just love Pluto, guh.) and I am drawn to the more dark, tragic moments/aspects of the series overall. I've only read the Miss Dream translations of the manga, though, and am pretty enamoured with the original version. I got a Nook Tablet for Christmas and am amping up for a re-read.

I have watched the anime in its entirety, though only in Japanese with subtitles and can be a little clueless as to certain aspects of any dubbed versions. I really enjoy the Infinity (its just beautiful.) and Stars (so world-expanding) seasons. I dislike the character changes and the shift in tone, though, from the Manga. Moreso now than I had in the past, almost to the point of resentment. I long for a proper representation of the manga in the animated fashion - almost to the point of contemplating fan 'movies' of the seasons arranged with a manga flair.

I have started the drama, pretty guardian, but haven't finished it - I always mean to, but yanno how things get away from you. I stopped just after Jupiter's awakened and supposedly that's just when it gets good, so hopefully being a member here will give me the oomph I need to pick it up again. I've seen individual sections of SeraMyu in youtube; and, not gonna lie, am pretty taken with Nao Takagi's Sailor Uranus. Just pretty amazing, mad respect.

I like to talk and ~philosophize on Sailor Moon and different aspects, though I'm a bit out of practice now. My favourite characters are probably the eponymous Usagi, the original Minako and the tragic Setsuna. I really love the dynamic and symbolism between Moon and Saturn and believe Rei and Minako to be soul(starseed?)mates.

As for my other interests: in January, I caught the flu and was bedridden for two weeks. Just me and my Wii. It had Netflix installed and I discovered and thusly consumed the modern Doctor Who. After which I discovered BBC Sherlock, which I lovelovelove, probably to an unhealthy measure. Yep! Now I'm pretty much an anglophile of the highest degree; four months on and its not stopping. It has actually served to reinforce my love for Minako, strangely enough.

I also like Cowboy Bebop, [insert various retro animanga here], Legend of Zelda/Nintendo, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, Firefly, Buffy, Psych, Lord of the Rings, Big Bang Theory, et cetera ad nausem - in other words, just a big geek. 8D

I recently started a Tumblr, though I'm still getting a hang of things - I haven't really had an online presence of any substance in a long while. You may peek, if interested~

I like to excessively employ hyphens, periods and semi-colons. And hated chocolate until I was 21.

Also: If you can't already tell, I'm a bit of a chatterbox and prone to bouts of rambling :3

Oooh goodness fan movies~ :/ the main reason I disliked Stars was the changes made between anime and manga. The manga version was just so... umph, heart wrenching and terrifying and special and just so HUGE! And changing the plot so much, making Galaxia a good person taken over by Chaos rather than a regular person who let teh darkness inside of herSELF take her over, making her a candidate for Chaos... it just always always irked me that they made the Purest Senshi in the Galaxy the original Galaxia rather than Sailor Moon. >/ dislike.

I've recently decided to focus more on writing though (seeing it as a stronger talent) and probably won't be updating much, unfortunetly. I've poked around and seen some of your art: I must say, I'm impressed with your lineart. I always just wing it and hope something glorious appears in happenstance.

@Sailor Uranus: thanks muchly. I think it would be just ~awesome to have voice overs and remix the content found in the anime to match the manga. I would have no idea how to organize such a thing though and have only dabbled in voice acting and video editing.

Yes, I really really dislike the changes made to Stars; money hungry businessmen on their schedules, no doubt. The impact of Galaxia's character really in the tragedy of her corruption and to take that away with such lame excuses..

I like some astronomy and find it fascinating, though haven't the time to really dedicate to solid learning on the subject atm. You will most certaintly be seeing a lot of me in both the writing and roleplaying sectionds

@ Sailor Jupiter: //blushes// thanks. You seem pretty awesome yourself, with that fansite and such. The BBC Sherlock fandom is easily one of the most talented I have ever seen. The wealth and quality of the fanwork is astounding. A whole new generation of ACD readers because of the show; I had read some of the stories myself before watching. But since, I've now nearly read them all and its all just fantastic!

I DID start with series 1. I really want to go back and watch all classic who too, just to say I /did/. I love me some nine too! Its rare to find people who really like him. My favourite is probably a tie between 9 and 11; 9 would probably win if he'd been around for longer. Also, 11 has higher production quality and a different writer so comparing the two is difficult.

This isn't a shameless plug or anything (I looked at the rules, and I don't think links break them..), but I co-run Sun-Spun Deduction, a wholock rpg. I'm the plot/graphics person =) Just saying, I'm pretty thoroughly drenched in wholock - I really think its just about the best thing ever. I'm even now gearing up to start making gifs, blends and whatnot

I've been tinkering with graphics since I was about.. 14? Roughly a decade. Only got serious in the last few years though and only very recently for any fandoms. I taught myself and use photoshop; I'm rubbish with tutorials, I'm just really curious and play around with everything. Buttons are meant to be clicked 8D

Aww Thanks for your comment It's really nice of you to say Right now I'm on the drawing mode, I draw a lot and update a lot too. There are moments where I concentrate more on my writings though. I don't really know which of the two is my strongest talent but I enjoy both a lot. (But of course... My writing skills are way better in french XD )

I wanna watch the classic who series too! I started watching some of the original old old stuff with the first doctor. It's really interesting and so different. The first doctor is more like an anti-hero compared to how he is written now.

And I can't help it but as much as I love 9...I Just love 10 so so so so so so much. I think mainly because the stories and writting, especially in season 4 were some of the best. I like Matt Smith and all...but i can't call him my favorite. Also se6 and the latest Christmas Special I didn't really like that much at all and were real downers imo. BUUTTT i do love how they are able to do such pretty special effects.

Yeah we pretty mcuh like the same stuff. Though I have to say I have yet to watch Firefly or Psych and never watched all of Buffy. Though, recently me and the BF watched Battlestar galactica (the newer one thats not Caprica...lol) and while I couldn't always get into it for some episodes, my god it had a pretty awesome ending and fourth season was just like woah. But yeah i'm pretty geeky too. I'm getting obsessed with Minecraft again. xD

Heheh, well, I'm a bit late on the welcome wagon, but your story is certainly interesting. I've unfortunately not finished the series in any form, mostly because of it being removed when I reach either the S or SS arc. I've gotten all the way to the middle of the Tokyopop transalation in the SS arc manga wise, and likewise in the dub of the anime. As much as I'd like to learn more about the live-action and the myu, though, I am a little afraid of spoilers, XD.

Think there's anything you can inform me of that are just interesting differences from the anime and manga? And what's the Dracul arc all about? It seems to just stand out quite a bit from the original two canons, if only because of entirely different subject matter.

(Also, Legend of Zelda? <3 It was my first fandom. I have a feeling that we'll get along pretty good. ^^)
