| Greetings to everyone. I'm a very recent Sailor Moon convert and longer term student of the Japanese language (2 years this Christmas). My interests are far and varied but I do keenly follow the exploits of Japanese pop champions such as Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Cy8er, Koto and 3776 as well as occasionally dipping into some manga (and their anime versions): New Game and Gabriel Dropout being favourites. (Flip Flappers and Attack on Titan being my probable all time faves).
As with regards to Sailor Moon, I've read the Eternal Edition Vol 1, watched about half (?) of the first season in dub and I'm ten episodes away from finishing the live action PGSM which I've thoroughly enjoyed. |

Many thanks. Actually, regarding your question, I have absolutely no recollection. Perhaps something just popped up on my youtube feed or something. I mean, I was aware of Sailor Moon - have been for years; but it wasn't even as if I consciously remember 'right, it's time to check out Sailor Moon'. It was just suddenly happening. I tell you what though reading Sailor Moon is a more straight forward task than watching it. The Eternal volumes are available in my local comic shop but, watching wise, it's as if it's forbidden in my part of the world. (It's not really; rather I guess there's probably an issue with the rights or something). |

| Welcome to GC! If you don't mind my asking, which version of the dub are you watching? The Viz Media site has the new one (unless it's blocked where you live?), the old one might be harder to find......... |

| Many thanks to everyone's warm welcomes.
To answer Malour's question, I believe I am watching an older dub. It's a nice little set with 7 discs covering the first 42 episodes. There's a second set that completes the series and my intention, after that, is to go with the (I believe) Australian releases as they come on blu ray but have a Region code that I can participate with. |

| G'day and welcome to GC. :3 From all the versions you've seen and read which story do you like the most? The anime dub, the manga, or the live action show? Also, who's your favorite senshi? |

| Many thanks for the welcome. To answer your question... I think my current favourite version is the live action (which I'm mere episodes away from finishing). I mean, I've only seen about half the first season of the original dub and only read the first Eternal volume but I can't imagine that anything will quite beat PGSM for thrills and feels. So far, PGSM also just seems like the most fully rounded show, by which I mean that it has the best character development and interactions.
As for my favourite senshi... I don't really have one. I like the fact that Usagi is, on the surface, a bit of a klutz but her heart is in the right place and she's one tough cookie when she needs to be. I also like that fact that Rei works at a temple in between unleashing fireballs. |
