Nothing. Nothing says love more than outing a dirty stinking mafia rat scum and saving your town -or- tricking your friends into thinking you're innocent and then BACKSTABBING THEM AT NIGHT AND BLAMING IT ON SOMEONE ELSE, mwaahahahahahahahah!

I'm a complete mafia newbie - can I join? Sure. They're quick games so they're mostly harmless, just make sure you review the general gameplay rules in the thread above and take that warning / code of conduct reminder to heart. Nothing is to be taken as personal in mafia, and nothing is to be made personal in mafia. Your mafia role is your new identity - it begins and ends with your gameplay, bring in nothing prior to game, take out nothing post. 


But in Discord?? What changes?: 

• The time for day/night phases will be shortened as everyone will be on at the same time and so we can move things along faster. This alters the usual forum-flavored version of the game a little as players don't have 24 - 48 hours to think over a lynch or make a crazy involved case against someone, but the days will not go so fast as they do in actual mafia chatrooms. As this will be my first time hosting a mafia game on discord, I'm blocking out 2 hours for the game (like a typical RTRP in the RP section!); if after the first game we find that more time is needed, I'll make adjustments for any following games!
  
• The method for voting / unvoting will be updated as discord doesn't do colors; **bold** will be to vote to lynch someone, ***bold and italics*** will be used to undo a vote. I'll announce these modifications when the game begins. 
  
• Questions to me just need to be tagged @ me rather than using specific formatting.
  
• Quoting other players for casing, etc., can be done either in block quote ```copy/paste their message``` or by using the snipping tool and pasting the image directly into the thread. 
  

Sweet! When is it? Below I have a doodle with a list of available dates/times. Follow the sign-up instructions below; if a sufficient number of people sign up to play on the same time slot, game on! If not, then hey, better luck next time.  Official dates will be announced in this thread, updated in this post, put on the GC calendar, and made an announcement of in Discord a day beforehand and an hour before the game begins.

1. Sign up in this thread by replying to this thread to be put on a "potential player" list. 
   
   NOTE: SIGNING UP ON THIS THREAD IS TREATED AS AN "READ AND UNDERSTOOD" STATEMENT RE: MAFIA GAMEPLAY RULES AND INFORMATION. Should you have additional questions DM me on discord. If when the game begins it becomes obvious you did not read and/or understand the basic mafia gameplay, I'mma auto-lynch you out of spite~
   
   
2. Respond to the doodle with all available dates/times you have. 
   

If either one of the above is not completed, I will not give you the proper discord permissions at game time because reading and following instructions is a main point of the game, so if you can't do what I ask now I won't invite you in :> 

What if I'm randomly on discord when a game with the sufficient amount of people is starting up and I want to jump in on that action? =D: Sweet, dude! Good for you! You'll be redirected to this thread where you'll sign up to state you've read and understood the rules and invited in to play! HOWEVER if it becomes apparent you actually did not read and/or understand the mafia rules, I'll auto-lynch you out of spite~
