Appearance:

Atropos may have the appearance of a youth nearing her 20s, but her skin does not show it. She has pale, stone like skin that is constantly cracking and healing, with a scar running along her right eye and cheek that looks more like the color and texture of normal skin but burns as if the skin were rubbed raw all day. Occasionally other parts of her skin, especially around joints, break and fall off, showing the similar type of skin that is around her eye. Eventually it heals up and hardens, only to crack and fall off again.

Despite the skin, Atropos has thin, straight black hair that falls just above her knees. The hair is also as stiff as her skin and occasionally falls out, only to grow back just as painfully as the rest of her body. She stands taller than the average woman, though she has never bothered to actually measure herself (because what is that anyway?) Her eyes are red and narrow, blinking also causing her pain. She wears a veil to keep her eyes hidden from others.

Atropos is able to blend in using the dark chaos magic gifted to her by Sailor Chaos. She can create an illusion around her body, allowing her to blend in with the population of any planet so her appearance can change depending on her mission.

Personality:

Atropos is truly the oldest of the three sisters in personality. She is the most mature and often leads the other two after receiving missions from Sailor Chaos. Atropos is cold and calculating in her behavior. She thinks things over and in general lacks empathy and compassion for anyone except for Sailor Chaos and her two sisters. She is the most level-headed of the three and typically remains calm in most situations.

Atropos is very stubborn, especially in her decisions as leader. This will sometimes lead to arguments with her sisters if by chance, they disagree or go against her commands. She rarely shows flexibility and once her mind is set on something, it is set. Arguments happen rarely, however. Her stubbornness leads to persistence and she will not quit a job until it is done. Atropos likes to get things done right the first time and if things go wrong, well...Atropos makes things right, no matter what.

Once she awakens her sisters, she discovers a deep love and bond with them. They are her family, while Sailor Chaos is their mother. She hates that they have to suffer as she does on a daily basis and as much as she loves them, holds a deep shame within herself for having to awaken them. Partly, as she should have been all Sailor Chaos needed to complete her plans and partly for bringing them into such a horrible world.

However, Atropos is loyal to Sailor Chaos, blindingly so. This plays into her inflexible nature. Sailor Chaos is their mother and savior and can do no wrong. Atropos' love for Lachesis and Clotho may be the only weakness in her strong loyalty to Chaos. It is a small crack and if enough pressure put on it, it could break.

She is very protective of her sisters, in particular Clotho due to her not only being the youngest but also the most sensitive of the bunch. At the same time, she gets very exasperated with her due to how sensitive she is and her immaturity. She tries not to let this show when around her, but sometimes even Atropos' calm has its limits.

Since she awakened Lachesis first, Atropos is closer to her than Clotho. She sees Clotho more as a young naive child while Lachesis is someone she can confide in with more serious matters. However, due to Lachesis rash nature, she gets frustrated at times when she takes the brunt of the enemy’s attacks rather than her, feeling like she’s being too reckless and that as the oldest, she should be the one to do so.

Atropos’ desires to find a better life and home world than those her and her sister were born from. She wishes for more power to relieve herself and her sisters of their lives of pain and to distinguish the guardians of the light. She hated the light, those on Cosmos’s side, since it was the light that had forsaken her and her sisters.


Any Unique Abilities/Skills:

• Thick Skinned - Atropos suffers from a condition where her skin hardens nearly to as tough as stone. The condition manifests itself as a side effect of being prematurely awakened by Sailor Chaos and the chaotic powers bestowed to her. It also is reminiscent of her stone like, unchanging ways. The condition causes Atropos to suffer in pain at all times, which fuels her anger and hatred of the Sailor Soldiers of the light.
• Final String of Life - Atropos can determine when a being has come to the end of its life, thus she can end it quicker, if she so chooses. Occasionally, she discovered a being, sentient or not, suffering at the end of its life and takes pity, not wishing the suffering she lives through to other beings.  
• Master Swordsman - Atropos is very skilled with a number of blades, but especially so, Nightshade.

• Cutting things; she has a secret stash of shape cutouts that no one has seen. Sometimes she makes her cut outs in pseudo-origami shapes, often flowers and gives them to her sisters, claiming she found them on her last mission

History:

Sailor Atropos is one of three sisters. Her siblings being Sailor Lachesis and Sailor Clotho. The three were born from three newly formed and underdeveloped planets that orbited a young star.
Atropos is the oldest and first to be born.

When Atropos first awoke, all around her was darkness and pain. Every movement she made caused her pain over her body. When she touched herself, she discovered skin, hard as stone, with cracks all over.  In the back of her mind, she felt something was off but that thought was quickly brushed away by the strong urge that she needed to leave where she was. A power was pulling at her and she could not resist it.  It tugged at her heart and there was no escape.  She floating in her home’s atmosphere, going further and further up. As she made her way through, she began to truly see how horrible and desolate her home was. The land below was barren, nothing but rocks, dust and decay. Nothing was growing. Above her, in the sky, all was darkness but the swirl of the gas of her atmosphere. As she floated further up, horrible screeching sounds filled her ears as demented horrible beings flew through the air. Even though she knew this was her home, she hated it.

The power that lure her further away also assured her that she could have better, become stronger and powerful. Her heart fully gone to darkness, she went flying towards the source of the power with open arms. That power ended up being Sailor Chaos.

Atropos became a loyal servant to Chaos, fulfilling out her orders without question or doubt. She fully believed in Chaos’s desires and views Chaos in a motherly way, trusting her completely and undoubtedly loving her. She believes in her mission to get rid of all the light or Cosmos Sailor Soldiers.

The Sailor War had come and Sailor Atropos became a strong warrior for Chaos, eliminating many planets and their Sailor Guardians. Eventually, as the War grew larger, Chaos asked for Atropos to awaken her other sisters.  She was momentarily shocked to find out there had been two others but readily accepted Chaos’ reasoning. Why subject them to the horror of the world if unnecessary?  But now they were needed.

It had been nearly a year since her awakening when she returned back to her “home”. Finding it had not been difficult, as she could feel her sailor crystal resonate with the world. When she approached, she found the other two planets surrounding the young star, just as Sailor Chaos had told her. The first planet she approached turned out to be Lachesis and she found it to be as horrid as her own.  For now, she could save Lachesis for this world and give her something better. It was not too much later when Chaos sent her once again to awaken Clotho, much in the same manner as Lachesis. Both of her sisters’ awakenings upset her greatly, as she watched them suffer the same as she. It was not something she would have wished upon them and now with them by her side, she feels more strength to achieve her goals for a better life, not only for her but for all three of them.




Other Noteworthy Facts:
• Sailor Atropos is always transformed as she has known no other life.
• Unknown to her, Sailor Chaos awakened her before her home was fully formed and her sailor crystal truly mature. Sailor Chaos then had her do the same to her sisters, without this knowledge as well. Their physical ailments are a side-effect of this premature awakening.
• Her homeworld, as well as Clotho’s and Lachesis’s orbits around a young star. This star initially was to be born as Princess of all the worlds in their small system and they were meant to protect her. Sailor Chaos had destroyed the sailor crystal within the star before awakening Atropos.
• Atropos carries a small pair of shears that she keeps hidden within a small pocket in her fuku’s dress.

• The Lunar Chronicles: Lunar Eclipse: It is now thousands of years into the future since the Crystal Tokyo era. Senshi have come and gone and the battle between the side of Cosmos and Chaos have finally reached its peak. A new senshi, Sailor Cosmos, whose power rivals that of the legendary senshi Sailor Moon, has emerged as the ultimate champion of the light side. Powers:
• Atropos String Entangle - shoots out a red string that she holds on to one end as it entangles her target, when she cuts the string, it zaps the target with Chaos energy, draining her opponent's life energy.

• Atropos Chaos Power  - an energy blast that comes from her hands, using the dark power that Sailor Chaos bestowed her upon her birth.

• Moirai String of Fate - a group attack with Sailor Atropos, Clotho and Lachesis. Sailor Clotho initiates the attack, conjuring spinning materials to her weapons and beginning to spin. Sailor Lachesis takes over, measuring the thread to the desired length. When ready, Sailor Atropos readies her blade to make the cut. This is the trio's highest-powered attack. It can cause instant death to a single target within their direct eye sight. However, it requires too much time, attention, and physical proximity for the group to use it frequently.

• General Aura Sensing- Due to Chaos giving her some of her powers, she is able to sense Sailor Crystals and starseeds. The proximity is usually within the range of the planet they are but she can't pinpoint their exact location, just has the feeling that they are near by. She cannot tell who the person is with this ability but can often deduct who it may be depending on circumstances.


Weapons or Magical Items:
• Atropos Crystal - Sailor Atropos's Sailor Crystal. When not residing safely inside of her body, it looks like a dark red translucent crystal shaped like a circle with a cross behind it, vaguely in the shape of Sailor Galaxia's brooch. As her planet is not fully-developed, neither is her Sailor Crystal. It appears to have chips and cracks on the surface.
• Nightshade - her sword. With a skull on its hilt, she uses this sword to sever the lives that she takes. She can choose to imbue it with her power to cause it to have a poison like effect. This can prolong the time before death but make the victim suffer before it. The poison can only take effect if she makes a deep enough stab wound. With normal cuts and slices, it acts just as a sword would. Nightshade may or may not be sentient. Atropos can feel emotions and sometimes even voices from the sword. She keeps this from her sisters, believing it to possibly be in her mind. The sword takes her desires for destruction and suffering and expands on them.

Atropos strode down the dimly lit corridors of the palace. Her face confident, cool, serene. However, if one looked close enough, beneath her veil, they’d notice the slight twitch of her eyebrow and the small bead of sweat that trickled down her temple.

Mother wanted so many planets eliminated in such little time. Even with her sisters’ help and their horde of chaos underlings, she was concerned they would not be able to do as mother told. Subconsciously, Atropos picked at the skin just below her left elbow. It was hard as stone but she could crush the small pieces in her hands.  The skin beneath was raw and painful, but it gave her relief.

"Mother knows best, after all," she concluded to herself, with a faint smile on her face. It was time to debrief her sisters on their newest mission. Clotho would none to happy while Lachesis would be ready to fly to the closest of their targets that second. However, planning was what was needed now. They needed to be able to divide the troops properly, do as much quick research they could on their targets and prepare to leave in less than 12 hours. It was a lot, but she had confidence in herself. She had to, for her sisters.

Atropos reached the door to the common room that the three often spent their time in, pausing briefly to make sure she was composed before enterig. That annoying trickle of sweat had seeped into her skin cracks and she dabbed at her temple, agitated that she even allowed one bead. Now was not a time for worry and nervousness. Letting out a deep breath, Atropos strode into the room.

“Lachesis. Clotho. We have work to do,” she announced, motioning the pair to follow her. Atropos allowed a small smile to curl on her lips. Yes, they would accomplish this newest mission and please mother, further assuring their dominance over the light.
