Hello, everybody!  I'm a big Sailor Moon fan of a few years, and finding this site got me very excited!  I actually dropped in accidentally by leisurely following a link in the comments of tuxedounmasked.com (a site I highly recommend).

I found the Sailor Moon world quite by accident about three years ago.  I've watched the anime through twice, and each of the movies at least once.  I tried the manga, but just couldn't get into it, I'm afraid...  Crystal not so much either...

My favorite Sailor is hard to call, but I think it's Usagi .  She's so identifiable for me.  (Not the princess part, of course - hence the user name.  Honorable mention to Hotaru .

One of my biggest hobbies is music - playing it on the violin, the keyboard, and the recorder - and I'm an enormous fan of the OST for the anime, which I listen to all the time.

Strange that, even though I never saw the anime as a kid, which is too bad, I always get a sense of nostalgia watching Sailor Moon...

I'm looking forward to having a great time on this forum!!!

I picked my avatar to match the username.  I think some of Sailor Moon's best moments (at least the 90's anime) come when the girls are being just that - ordinary girls.  I can totally sympathize with Usagi's desire to be normal.

That's probably also the reason behind my favorite arc. It's not a very popular decision, but I might just like the Cardian arc the best.  I know, I know, it's not in the manga, it's filler.  But it's good filler.  We see the team a lot in normal situations and their interactions with Ail and An bring out their personalities.  The Moonlight Knight is goofy, granted; but we also are still seeing quite a bit of the secondary characters (Naru, Umino, Usa's family) that made the cast even greater, and Mamoru not having his memory back adds some humor.  

Honorable mention to Classic (don't ask me to pick any part of it) which feels so strangely nostalgic; and to the end of R, after the breakup ends, when we first see our main romance without anyone memory wiped, brainwashed, or breaking up for no reason.

As for S, the plot and animation are great, and I love the Professor; but I just could never get to like Haruka and Michiru's attitude towards the other scouts.  I spent a lot of time screaming "Just get along!"  Nonetheless, it was still a very good season.

SuperS always felt too much like a preschool show for me, though some individual episodes, and the finale, were awesome.

Stars I don't really like.  No Tuxedo Mask, the outers were antagonistic again and served no other function, ChibiChibi was pointless (in the anime), and the finale felt like a rehash.  Everyone died, but you knew they'd come back.  It didn't give the same emotions that the season 1 finale gave me, even  on the fourth re-watch.  Seiya I sympathized with a little, but in the end... meh.

But nothing was more frustrating than that breakup arc in R.

Out of the movies, I think R is the best. Moon Revenge, y'all!

Sorry, I really rambled there...  It's also all anime, as I haven't read the whole manga or seen any other of the media.

As for my favorite villian? Esmeraude at Mimete were a lot of fun, but I think Zoisite takes the cake.

One other thing I always like to point out is this batch of tutorials. It has helped me out countless times in posting around here - especially when I was just new! Though by now you've probably got the hang of most of the features ^^;;.

This is so interesting to me!! Maybe between the animation technology, pastel backgrounds, and music it just puts you square into the 90s again haha. Or maybe it's something about the storylines? What do you think?
