Whether you're an old-hat at roleplaying or a newbie to this writing-in-character business, everyone who enters has an equal and fair chance to win this year's LUCKY SEVEN TOURNAMENT, and a fistful of GC points besides! 

What is it and how does it work?
This Lucky 7 Tournament is TWOFOLD! 

1. A series of 1v1 RTRP (Real Time Roleplay) BATTLES!
   Players enter their characters below (via the Sign-Up Instructions and paying the 100 GP entrance fee) and will be set into a tournament bracket by me, the host/referee.
   
   When their scheduled fight time comes, they fight their opponent in the RP_RTRP_IC Discord Channel using relaxed roleplay posts ((which can be as simple as "Sailor Saturn uses Silence Glaive!" or as complex as the player likes!)) and finishing each move with a -Roll 20 command as their attack!  Their opponent then also uses the -Roll 20 command to see how well they defend!
   If the attacker's roll is higher than the defender's, the attack goes through and the Attacker gets 1 point!
   If the defender's roll is higher than the attacker's, the attack fails! 
   It's then the defender's turn to write (either in how they were hit or how they evaded) and then do their own attack!
   
   The battle continues until either one character gets 20 10 points or 1 hour elapses! 
   Note! If I, the host/referee, believe that the player in the lead is purposefully stalling in posting in order to run out the clock, they will automatically lose the round! >C cause that's just wrong.
   
   The winner of the round gets advanced to the next round, and the loser gets to pick up the participant bumper associated with that round!
   
   
   We continue in this manner all the way to the Finals! The ultimate champion of this tournament will receive a signature prize and a pot of GC Points!

   Why not... >D place a bet? 
   Any GC Member can bet on the winners of this tournament! You will fill out/submit the form for Betters below ((when it becomes available((which will be after the sign-ups for participants have been made and the bracket created)))) and highlight whom you think will win each battle and advance to the next round, all the way to picking whom you think will be the champion, before the first battle is even played. >D Even odds for everyone, right?
   The amount you bet will be returned to you for every pick you get correct!
   
   For example, Let's say in your bracket you chose characters A, D, F, and G as winners of the first round, then D and G being winners of the semi-finals, and G being the Grand Champion, and you place a 100 GC Point bet, and submit the form.
   
   When everything is said and done, the winners of the first round were B, C, F and G ((you'd win 200 points for getting the two correct!)); the semi-finalists were B and G ((another 100!)), and the Champion was G ((another 100 for being correct!))
   
   You'd spend 100 points and go away with 400! Pretty nice~! 
   THE ONLY STIPULATION beyond submitting everything BEFORE the first battle, is to attend at least two fights as an audience member (in RP_RTRP_OOC) and cheer on your choice! 
   
   All winners will get their earnings AND the winner bumper below! All betters who lose will not receive ANY of their initial GP, but can claim the loser bumper below!

Totes! As mentioned in first post, anyone can place a bet. Because it's completely random, contestants can't throw their round so there's no way to cheat. Bet away!

I'M ATTEMPTING TO HURRIEDLY THROW TOGETHER PC-ONLY MATCHES TO MAKE A SIDE-TOURNAMENT;IF IT CAN HAPPEN, THE WINNERS OF THE FIRST TWO ROUNDS GET THE SEMIFINALISTS BADGE, THE WINNER OF THAT ROUND GETS THE FINALIST BADGE, AND THEN I'LL FACE THAT WINNER FOR THE GRAND CHAMPION TITLE after making my npc's fight for it to see who the surviving pc will face.

What a ride! XD I'm so amused that only NPCs made it.

^-~ since none of our PC competitors won the Grand Finale to earn the prize pot, I won't deduct entrance fees from anyone XD BUT LET'S SEE HOW THOSE BETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO

bahahaha i described how bets worked completely wrong. there was no way to lose in what i described. the winner of the scenario should have only received 100 GP because they got 4 bets correct and 3 bets wrong, netting 1 correct bet and so winning 100 GP. Rather than spending 100 GP to bet, winning 400 in bets, and so netting 300, completely ignoring all the incorrect guesses.


BUT THERE'S NO WAY TO TELL NOW WHETHER THE BETTERS WOULD HAVE STILL ENTERED KNOWING THAT, sooooo HINDSIGHT IS 50/50, ENJOY THIS BUMPER ALL BETTERS, AND YOUR NET TOTALS BELOW WILL BE RECORDED!
