| RG veda was the first ever work CLAMP ever did as professional manga artists, and ran from 1989-1996, and started when the group had more then a dozen members from their dojin circle! (At least, that's what it says in the first book of the Tokyopop publication.) It has 10 books and all were published in the west by Tokyopop, and later re-published in omnibus format by Dark Horse publications. Three-hundred years ago, the god of thunder rebelled against the Heavenly Emperor, killing them both along with the god Ashura-o. Fast foreward to present day, and a man named Yasha finds himself in the middle of a prophasy to gather the "six stars" in order to prevent the world of Tenkai from being destroyed. He awakens a child by the name of Ashura, who had slept in a seal for 300 years to help accomplish this, and in turn is also tasked with raising the child as well. Like many of CLAMPS series, this is a manga not to miss-though it is known to be one of their more violent ones. With strong characters, plot twists at every turn-and being able to see their art and storytelling improve as each chapter passes, it's one of my favorite manga of all time. |

| I never got to read the manga, but I did get to watch the OVA. I remember really liking it. I should probably look into the manga and read it. I've always found that I enjoy CLAMP manga more than their anime. XD |
