Good afternoon, polite society!

I've been a fan of Sailor Moon for yonks now and when my wandering brought me to this wonderful forum, there was just no way I couldn't join up. I'm a big superhero fan and thus the Sailor Scouts (or Senshi as they're called in Japan) appealed to me right from the moment I switched the channel and saw Serena, Raye and Amy facing off against Jedite on the airport runway. That was the most badass thing ever, how they worked together as a team to take down an arrogant villain who scoffed at them, thinking they didn't stand a chance against him because they were girls. Boy did they prove him wrong. That was my first glimpse of the show but I knew, right then and there, I was a fan for life.

The whole team rocks but none more than Sailor Mercury. She's smart and sweet too and I think her powers are so very cool, being based on water which is often underestimated since it's not as flashy as thunder or fire. But if you take it lightly, you do so at your own risk. Which sums up Amy perfectly.

I have lots of pets, so my house is just full of life. I like to read as my pile of books proves and am trying to decide whether I should go with A Wizard In Earthsea or the second book in the Nine Lives Of Chloe King series (I finished book one a while ago). As a lover of video games, I'm dying for Thursday when episode two of Life Is Strange: Before The Storm will finally come out. I've got to find out what happens to Chloe and Rachel next. You've got to hand it to the video-game companies which make episodic titles, they know how to keep us coming back for more.

As an avid gamer, have you played any of the old SNES Sailor Moon games? I don't play as many video games these days as I used to so I have no idea what that title is you speak of XD but the good folks over at the Video Game Club are sure to share your enthusiasm!

It definitely left an impact on me! Come oooon, it has the Scouts battling a formidable opponent while also trying to avoid being flattened by a jet! How is there any way that fight scene could be anything less than unforgettable?

As a matter of fact, I have Sailor Moon: Another Story for the SNES! Picked it up on ebay! I also want to hunt down the fighting game! I'll have to go and check out the video game club, thank you for pointing me in its direction!

My favorite form of SM is the classic anime! No question about it, the classic was my gateway into the world of SM so it's the direction my mind flies in whenever someone mentions Sailor Moon! I have to check out the live-action series soon! When I first heard about it, I couldn't help wondering how SM would translate into a show with real people playing the Scouts and doing the amazing things they do. Then I got to watch Episode Zero and all my doubts melted away. Watching Sailor V go up against the crime lord's henchwomen was just...wow!

Welcome to the forums! It must have taken a lot of tracking down to find the cartrage for sailor moon, another story! I played the fan-translation via emulator ages ago, and it's actually a solid rpg. A major grindfest, though.

The word 'superhero' caught my eye. What superhero series are you a fan of? I'm a big fan of the DC Universe, but I'm starting to pick up some more Marvel here and there. My favorite series is Batman, but my favorite character is Cyborg.

I'll keep that in mind! Would you say that Another Story is as brutally hard as Dragonball Z: Legend Of The Super Saiyan?

I'm fond of action-adventure games, though I usually doom the main character to die a thousand deaths the first time around when the gamplay is all still new to me. I just completed Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition for the second time and felt like a true warrior as I nailed all those cultists with my bow. A performance which was in bleak contrast to my playthrough of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. That poor treasure hunter had a rough time with me guiding her actions. If one of the gameplay features was an Epic Fail Counter, I probably would have caused it to loop all the way back to zero before I reached the end.

I also love graphic adventures which have made a comeback lately. I've played all three seasons of The Walking Dead along with the Michonne bonus game. Actually, that goes for the rest of the Telltale games. My favorite game of theirs is a toss up between Season One of Walking Dead and Tales From The Borderlands which was the most hysterically funny thing I've ever seen. Life Is Strange was no mere game. It was an experience which still haunts me a year later. Part of me will always be in Arcadia Bay with Max and Chloe whose friendship with each other made them strong enough to overcome everything the world could throw at them.

As you can guess, I'm a RPG fanatic too. I've played all the PS1 Final Fantasies as well as V and VI.

Sailor Arkas: 

Aaaand I've got an answer for you! I'm a fan of Harry Potter. I got into the books when Order Of The Phoenix was published. There had been a three year wait for it and the fanbase was going so crazy I had to see what all the fuss was about. I got a few chapters in and just like that, the series had woven its spell over me.

As well as JK Rowling, I've been a follower of Robin Jarvis since I was young. He writes Dark Fantasy stories and perhaps his most famous series is the Deptford Mice. The best description I can give of those books is that they're what you get when you put Redwall and A Song Of Ice And Fire in a blender together. Though the main cast happen to be mice, the books are grimmer than you'd ever believe without reading them yourself. Jarvis has written many other books too which are also worth checking out, especially the Dancing Jax trilogy which blew my mind. It is the craziest and most terrifying thing you'll ever read. The premise of the series is so delightfully twisted. I just finished the third book of his Wyrd Museum trilogy. It was about five hundred pages long but I tore through them in a week! For real, his stuff has a certain quality that makes it downright addictive! He also illustrates the books himself and his art style is so haunting. 

I have the Earthsea books in an omnibus edition. I've watched the Tales Of Earthsea movie although from what people have told me, it diverges greatly from the books it's based upon.

I know that fans generally deem the DiC dub inferior to the original and can understand where they're coming from. The American version cut a lot of material from the show, even to the point of leaving out entire episodes which sucks beyond telling. And yet it remains dear to me. I simply can't imagine Amy without her upper-class British accent. I know, I know...it's not canon but it's the Amy I know and adore!

Sailor J rocks! She's like an amazon as she towers over the other Sailor Scouts! Not only is she undeniably badass, she also happens to be a master chef which is an awesome talent to have! You get the feeling she'd be an awesome person to be stuck on an island with until the rescue boat arrived! Thank you! I know I'm gonna like it here!

Luna: The DC and Marvel Universes both appeal to me. My favorite hero is Spider-Man, though Batman occasionally rivals him for my attention. The Teen Titans are a cool team which starred in a cool show. Raven and Beast Boy forever! Like anyone else who drew breath, I was hyper into The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles craze and still have much affection for the awesome foursome. The Michael Bay movies have nothing on the films Jim Henson contributed so much to. The first movie and Secret Of The Ooze are among my favorite superhero movies of all time.

A few years ago, I wrote stories for a superhero RPG and decided to introduce a Sailor Scout who fought crime in LA. I still have the stories she was in so maybe I'll post them on the writing forum...

Thanks! I have so much affection for the voice acting in the DiC dub. Serena's voice fits her character so well and Molly's New York accent will always be part of who she is to me.

And that's not all. DiC added so many brilliant songs to the show too. I can't think of a more fitting theme tune than "She Is The One Named Sailor Moon" and "Carry On" makes the last battle feel epic beyond belief!

I'm glad you liked the prologue of The Promise Of Princess Mercury! I'm planning to post Chapter One later today!
