|  Ah, the Stars. They glimmer so brightly here in the Cauldron! Let us just take a moment to appreciate their spectacular beauty... With that, it is once again my honor to present a very special star to you all: Best Sailor Moon Themed Artist 2017We’re so lucky to be in such an encouraging and supportive environment here when it comes to fanwork! Now, for the uninitiated, Sailor Moon as a theme for artwork doesn't seem very original on the surface. But there is in fact a lot of ingenuity that is brought out through fanart. As artists, it allows us to reach out and touch the sources of inspiration closest to our hearts, elevating our souls. Witnessing each of our fellow artistic journeys as a community is such a pleasure. We all shine a little brighter because of it! But this year, there is a Sailor Moon fanartist among us so bright, we all can't help but take notice. The winner of this award was again nominated so highly that there was no competition! You all can probably imagine who this might be, so without further ado... THE WINNER IS…- *drumroll*:
mangaka-chanAn active GC member since April 2013, she has continuously inspired us with her Sailor Moon fanart. From her ambitious doujinshi project to her beautiful paper crafts, mangaka-chan's work rings true with the spirit of Sailor Moon that we all know and love, channeled through her own unique art style. Believe it or not, she hasn't had any formal training to date. Aside from updating her doujinshi thread, she's mostly found in the Writers section and canon discussion threads.  Mangaka-chan's Doujinshi, Future Reunion(almost complete!!) Mangaka-chan's Sailor Moon FanartYour talent and dedication is known throughout the forum! So much so that this is your 3rd time in a row winning! Congratulations!Step right up and get your award and nomination stamp! As this is your third time, it will also be the last, I'm afraid. That's no punishment at all (XD), but having won the same award from 2014 to present (2017), is an amazing accomplishment already and therefore makes you kind of... indomitable?? | Thank you everyone! It's been an honor to have received this award for many years in a row. Although Future Reunion is approaching its climax I hope to continue sharing my work on this forum well into the future (no pun intended XD )! |
