G'day. Since I can start adding pictures now I decided to post a bit of the fractal art I used to create. Chris Sifniotis' Fractal Art [Digital Media] 2422052349

Just about every one of my pieces express what I see and feel when I listen to music. My all time favorite musician Jean Michel Jarre famously said 'I want people to see my music.' So I've been doing my best to create imagines that in my belief express exactly what his was trying to achieve in his music, especially since the vast majority of my works are interpretations of his music. Since my fractal pieces are about music I'll be posting music clips under the pieces as well.

'Sailor Moon - Oxygene 8':

'Sailor Moon - Oxygene 8' was my most famous piece to this day. It was born when I discovered that for some reason - I still don't know exactly why - I feel that Oxygene Pt. 8 actually works well with the 90s anime at the time. Even now it brings up memories of me watching Sailor Moon on TV in the 90s and early 2000s. This piece became so popular that it cemented my interest in fractal art and my becoming an upstanding member of deviantArt at the end of 2006 onwards.

'Chronologie Pt. 4':

I have made a lot of series for albums, the Chronologie series is one of the more memorable ones. Of the Chronologie series No. 4 was the one I had the most fun with, playing with layering and ripple effects and the waves, the entire look was so unique I loved it.

'Concerts of China - Fishing Junks in Twilight':

The Concerts in China is in fact a very important event in history, it was the first Western performance in post-Maoist China. Fishing Junks at Sunset is one truly unique piece of music as it blends traditional Chinese sound with Jarre's mastery of ambient electronica. For the fractal piece I went with colours generally tied to China; bright red, gold, jade and blue, and this in particular was trying to use a lot of blue and black in fact for the night sky.

'Téo & Téa - Chatterbox':

Téo & Téa is an album I tend to associate heavily with Sailor Moon, the album as a whole is designed to be an expression of a relationship and the many phases and attitudes it can create. The tracks Téo & Téa, Touch to Remember, Vintage and Téo & Téa 4:00 AM are the songs which represent different parts of the 90s anime the most. Chatterbox is a short and jaunty track and it conjures images of Usagi gossiping with the girls and everyone having a good yarn. This piece features a simple design made complex simply by cutting into into pieces and rotating the gradient, creating a staggered spiral of colour.

'Sailor Moon - Oxygene 17':

Lastly anyone what's seen me on Discord should be able to recognize this as my avatar. This piece was to recreate my Oxygene 8 piece more than ten years ago, it coincided with this year's 25th anniversary of Sailor Moon and last year's 40th anniversary of the original Oxygene album to create 'Sailor Moon - Oxygene 17'. In a crazy twist Oxygene Pt. 17 to me also pairs quite well with Sailor Moon Crystal for the same inexpiable reason. I guess they have a very similar energy, both pieces of music do sound very aquatic. Comparing the two pieces you can see I've kept specific themes from the first piece when injecting freshness into it as well.

If you enjoyed these and want to see more feel free to check out my deviantArt site, right now I'm focusing on writing but you can see the full gallery including fractal/lineart Sailor Moon pieces, mixed media art using game screenshots and my okay but not great drawing. These are really cool! I love the full image of your discord avatar! What programs did you use to make them?

Well I use a fractal generator called Ultra Fractal 5. It's a pretty simple program that you can use to graph gradient fractals like these. Oxygene 17 is actually a prefect demonstration of what the program can do in terms of editing values to change the graph and layering. The great thing about fractals are that they have infinite detail so no matter how far you zoom into them - x1000, x1000000, x100000000000 - you'll still end up with delicate details and beautiful designs.
