hi guys!!*waves* dunno if i had told anyone before i left, but i've been working on a brooch maker for quite a few years already! many people have attempted it, but we have yet to see anyone successfully create it to completion. i was going to make it in flash, but my friend Aeryn who created the Sailor X Generator created her own emulator program, which allows you to program your own dress up/maker games. so i decided to go with that rather than the flash, and i've been making rapid progress!

i'm working on the final touches right now, which is gems to go in the center of the brooches. but i am still looking for suggestions on things to add into the brooch maker! i want this as multi purposed as possible.^^ but mainly geared towards otaku senshi.

I have Cosmos-Hime and Dark Sportsnutd helping beta test me the maker, so you will be seeing their creations as well in this thread.^^ thank you guys for your help!!!<3

soo since now i've got some beta testers, i'mma celebrate by posting a new preview of a randomly generated brooch.^^

I love the idea of a brooch maker! They all look fabulous. Hope you're able to finish it soon because this is SUCH a gift to the Sailor Moon community.

thanks for the suggestions Cronus! here's my responses.^^

1. unfortunately there is no way to create a method to actively resize any of the items in the game. this is not flash like the senshi doll maker, and i doubt if i put the code for that into the code for the brooch maker it would do anything. or it might make the game just not work. if it's any consolation, the center gems do come in a small, medium and large size!

2. well i do have the Cosmos starburst, though that's an 8 point star. i'll have to think over the 6 point star though, and i'll discuss it with my beta testers to decide if there would be enough over all audience need for that.^^ i try to include things EVERYONE could use, not anything too niche.

3. i have had requests for the Saturn brooch and the only possibility it could be included would be if it were a background accessory to one of the brooch bases. it would not make an additional stand alone base, because none of the decorations for the broochs would properly sit on a spikey nest of crystals.

well in reference to the saturn brooch, i did just recently incorporate a lovely new option where you can make the base brooches look metallic, so i imagine it wouldn't be too terribly difficult to create a crystal brooch back accent. just gotta figure out how to draw it to where it looks good...XD

also GREAT NEWS guys! i'm currently in the works of looking at samples from an artist who is going to collaborate with me and make the backgrounds for the brooch maker! she's showing excellent promise but just a few details to be hammered out yet, but it's a very definitely possibility! so yaaaay <3

well the thing about the brooch maker is it's based in an emulator program, similar to the old Kisskae doll system. you can download the prototype now, and use it for the Sailor X Generator! so in order to use the brooch maker, you have to download the emulator.

As long as your computer has java runtime environment, you should be able to use the program.

hey folks great news! it's official, i'm collaborating with Lantiis of Sailor Moon Artists United for the brooch maker, and she's making the background elements! i've got to tell you, the stuff she's created thus far....OMG it is beyond words to describe how gorgeous it is! and it makes me so excited to have it in the game! expect more previews in the near future including these excellent background options!!


EDIT: okay i lied, i couldn't WAIT, so here's a preview now with what one definitely one of my top 3 favorite background elements!

hey guys, hey guys! just thought i would tease you with a new tidbit of information...guess what this brooch maker is going to have that NO other brooch maker has even attempted or mentioned?

hands. you read me right, you will be able to have your senshi's hand with the brooch, with colorable nail options! currently in the works, and being fine tuned.
