This pondering crossed my mind as I was working my application for Sailor Ceres...

What name do you think Chibi Moon would acquire when she's ready to become the future warrior of the moon? I know most people simply think that she'll inherit the name Sailor Moon, but Takeuchi continuously emphasizes the pinkness of Sailor Chibi Moon in her attacks (e.g., Pink Sugar Heart Attack, Pink Lady's Freezing Kiss) and even her crystal (Pink Moon Crystal). It almost makes me think that Chibi Moon might become Sailor Pink Moon rather than Sailor Moon.

I think it would make sense to some degree, especially since Chibi Moon has the Sailor Quartet as her senshi posse. If her entourage is unique from their predecessors, it would make sense that she could be, too.

But what do you think? Do you think that Chibi Moon will simply become Sailor Moon? Or do you think she might have her own unique identity as a sailor senshi and become Sailor Pink Moon? She can't stay Chibi Moon forever! She has to grow up sometime...

I would think she would become either simply Sailor Moon or Neo-Sailor Moon, which sounds pretty cool actually.

I recall in the Black Moon arc, a line that Mamoru (or Endymion?? don't remember exactly) says that "the new Sailor Moon" has been born when Chibiusa awakens as Chibimoon. So I always assumed that eventually she would take on the role as Sailor Moon since her mother can no longer transform in the future.

Though, you are right with the emphasis on her being different from her mother. She gets her own crystal and her development comes a lot from her comparing herself to her mother and coming to her own person, not just a carbon copy of her mother. I could see her getting a rebirth sort of transformation where she becomes the "new Sailor Moon" but I can't really think of other names than what was suggested. I almost think she might keep the Chibi because everyone is just accustomed to that, including herself, as it is part of her identity.

I personally think Sailor Lady Moon might be her future name since her (future) title is Princess Lady Serenity and her team attack also have the world "lady" in it.

I figured "Sailor Lady Moon" made the most sense. I like to think she could borrow from one of the names of the variuos parts of the moon. Sailor Imbrium for example.

Being a product of Crystal Tokyo, maybe Sailor Crystal Moon, in order to marry both realms of Earth and Moon.

Personally I think Chibi Usa will use the same nomenclature her mother uses and add the word "neo" to her senshi title while dropping the "chibi", effectively making her Neo Sailor Moon.

I think Neo Sailor Moon has a better ring to it and makes a bit more sense since she is the next gen Sailor Moon scout.

I pretty much agree with everyone else here. Chibiusa takes the role of both the princess of Crystal tokyo AND the role of Sailor Moon; though not the exact same Sailor Moon, that is.

It is also my head cannon that instead of small lady serenity she just goes by "Lady Serenity"
