Appearance: Diane is naturally 5'4", weighing no more than 145 lbs. Her eyes are a sharp amber color, and her skin is deeply tanned. Her hair is black, and she keeps it short in the back, close to her neck, while her bangs hang over her forehead. Diane's teeth and nails are a little sharper than average. Her outfits are usually assortments of office pants and a white work shirt and a dark colored tie. Her dark shoes are leather, and she wears an unbuttoned, dark blue trench-coat that seems a few sizes too big for her. She also has a dark blue police cap that sits on her head most of the time.

As a werewolf, Diane is nearly a foot taller than normal when standing up, weighting over 200 pounds. She looks very much like a larger than usual wolf, with black fur, pointed ears, and a muzzle and tail. Her front paws are still functional as hands, though she has less dexterity and her claws are longer. Her eyes remain the same color, though her pupils are slit.

Personality: Diane is headstrong and forceful, though she maintains a n air of control and mechanical precision while working. She never misses a detail, and she's relentless when on a trail, even working to the point of exhaustion if she thinks she's close to an answer. She's a quick thinker and has a strong intuition to go with it. She's driven by a powerful sense of justice, and will even bend the rules to fulfill it. Possibly related to being a werewolf, Diane is easily frustrated and worked into an angry tirade, but she does her best to keep it under her thumb. She hates crowds and jewelry, and loves being handed a challenge in any form. She also has an affinity for animals, even if some don't react well to her at first.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills:
-Diane has "genetic" Lycanthropy, a condition passed down in her family. She can become a wolf when the moon is out, or in self preservation when experiencing strong emotions. Her transformation is only forced on full moon nights.
-She's skilled at tracking others, and is very analytical, capable of stringing even the smallest of clues together to make a theory.
-She has a talent for logic based board games like chess, Go, and Clue, and a massive amount of knowledge on Noir detective novels
-She's a good shot with a pistol
 
History: Diane Silvers was born and raised in Raven's Hollow, where it was far easier for werewolves to live a relatively normal life. Her father was human and her mother was also a werewolf, being the one Diane inherited Lycanthropy from. Diane wanted to be a detective at a very young age, inspired by her father's stories from working outside of Raven's Hollow. He can't live with the rest of his family, but he makes frequent phone calls and sends letters to keep up with them. Her "condition" began to manifest when she was 12, giving her a stressful set of teenage years, and she ended up less wide eyed and more closed off as an adult.

She was still relentless about becoming a detective though, and she applied for the Police Department as soon as she could. Diane pushed through academy training and quickly graduated as a Raven's Hollow officer, and then a detective a few years later, making a significant number of enemies out of the criminals she caught. It wasn't quite what she expected, and Diane felt stifled and frustrated by the complicated procedures she had to follow to solve crimes. She felt so strongly about not being able to do things her own way, that she quit and opened up her own private agency in the city. She's been working independently ever since, picking up smaller cases and cooperating with the police department on larger ones that needed her set of skills.

The town of Raven's Hollow is not your ordinary city. It is filled with supernatural creatures; from werewolves to sirens, from angels to demons, from the ones haunting the humans' nightmares to the most beautiful dreams. It is one of the last refugees left for these creatures, which were quickly becoming extinct after being hunted by humans in various places out of fear that they would assert their superiority otherwise with their magical powers and abilities. Raven's Hollow used to be a haven for the remnants of magic in this world.


Species Information:
Werewolves are the result of a demon or spirit's curse laid on someone long ago, and can be passed down by a bite that deeply breaks the skin or randomly from genetics. Those who are bitten are uncontrollable beasts during the full moon, and the curse activates the month after they are infected. People who are born werewolves like Diane first change when they hit puberty, and they can choose to transform during the night even without a full moon. A full moon does force them to transform, but they keep their human minds regardless. Werewolves do not have natural enemies, but are often considered unpredictable and dangerous by other species.

• Silver/Blessed metals: Touching them will make her physical ill in human form, and will outright burn as a wolf. It acts like poison when in her system, and weakens the rest of her powers.
  
• Strong Stimuli: Loud sounds, bright lights, and powerful scents can temporarily stun her if she's unprepared, and this is worse as a wolf.
  

Storyline Specific Information:

City of Shadows: Diane is a detective from Raven's Hollow, who works alongside the police on cases. Recently, a new unknown threat has appeared in Raven's Hollow. Some of the townspeople felt it when the new presence arrived. The more sensitive ones felt the ominous tingle of electricity in the air, others felt their dreams disturbed by a half-formed premonition. The seers knew an age of change was coming, but for the first time could not tell for sure what it was. As days went on, one by one the townspeople began to disappear, seemingly vanishing into thin air from various places. First, a fairy. Then, a warlock. After that, a vampire. 

At first, the townspeople blamed each other. See, maintaining the peace between all the different clans and races in Raven's Hollow was no easy task, with some of them being natural-born enemies, and some who physically could not stand each other. But when the vanishings continued to take random creatures of all races, seemingly affecting all of them, they soon realized that this threat did not come from their own neighbors. It was something else entirely, perhaps something they had never encountered before. And if they would have any hope to fight it, they must, for the first time in their lives, learn to not only get along, but also work together.

Diane sat at her worn down, claw marked wooden desk, covered in papers and files from various cases. There were so many missing people in Raven's Hollow now, that she wasn't sure what to do. There didn't seem to be a pattern at all, or at least not one she could grasp. Diane snorted and sat back in her leather chair. The entire city was feeling off kilter, and she had no idea where to start looking. Her gut feelings were usually very accurate, but she was at a loss at the moment. This was so frustrating!

She stood abruptly, and her eyes fell on the clock. It was nightfall, and she could almost sense the Moon as it rose above the horizon. All this office work was wearing her patience, and she grabbed her dark blue trench-coat and hat and slipped out the door. This was a good opportunity for some actual footwork.

Years ago, her transformations had hurt and left her sore for hours after, but now it was like shrugging on a second skin. Her form shifted, growing larger and wider until something akin to a beast was standing in her place on the doorstep. Diane adjusted her hat so it didn't interfere with her pointed ears, the rest of her clothes accommodating to fit her, and stepped out into the growing darkness. She was going to find out what was going on around here if it was the last thing she did.

And can you also add a Species Information heading that details general information about Werewolves (how their curse is passed down and activated, can they infect others with their bite, do they have anything against vampires or any race in particular? Does she keep her mind clear even when transformed?)
