I've been asked several times about forum Trick-or-Treating!


What is trick-or-treating?

Based on the idea from Sailor Uranus originating in 2013, five (5) participants served as "houses" that members could answer a riddle from to try and get a treat. First, the forum members had to determine which participants should be PMed to receive the riddles. Clues as to which member were left in the trick-or-treat post.

• If they answered the riddle correctly, they received a "treat" (a graphic, such as a bumper or signature).
• If they answered the riddle incorrectly, they were "tricked" (with another graphic).

Should we offer trick-or-treating this year? Please vote in the poll!

I'd like to get an idea of interest as soon as possible, so that we could try and open Trick-or-Treat this upcoming weekend if we decide to go forward with it!

This sounds so much fun!! I can volunteer to accept trick-or-treaters and dole out the goods.

I'd like to avoid this by only telling chosen volunteers if they are selected as houses. I'll use Random.org for the selection. Don't spoil it by spreading that info around if you get a PM from me.

How many days will we do it? I'd like to help in some way but I know I'll be unavailable this Friday night, parts of Saturday and all of Sunday so...not a lot of availability for me. ;-;

I'm sure I could let trick-or-treaters know that the "houses" are only available specific days/times. I believe that has been done before. (:

Yeah, from what I remember, Kyra would announce that certain doors were open and iirc, she would also make that a riddle too. Like for example: "I heard a member who fancies pink and cats has their door open until 7 pm tonight!" or something.

I'm good with riddles

For graphics, I believe I made some that didn't have a date on it that could be recycled, especially since I believe they were last used around 2013 or so. They aren't anything up to par with Diana's or Bubble's graphics but could help to save some time since we only have a few days?

I'll just have them behind the spoiler if yall would want to use them or not. xD

Np! I wish I had time to make some more cause unforutnately it seems the bumpers I made had dates on them... I wonder if I can just edit the dates cause theres an awesome creepy Profressor Tomoe and Chibi Tigers Eye one xD

Just to record some of those details:

Please select your own riddle or question. Try to keep it Halloween-y in spirit. Avoid something that might be too hard or specific. A medium level of difficulty is a good aim.

You don't have to ask everyone the same thing.

Please allow people to try again, with another riddle or question, if they are "tricked" the first time. This is supposed to be fun, and it's totally okay for members to make more than one attempt to collect all of the pretty treats.

If they answer correctly, they get a treat!

If they answer incorrectly, they get a trick!
