Writing a forum post, especially for role-playing, can be nerve-wracking. Can you catch all of your typos or grammatical errors? Do you have time to write everything out? Will the forum crash or the tab reload, losing all of your precious work? Are you afraid that if you don't write your idea down right now, you might forget it?

"Drafts" might help! ♥

Our forum allows users to save posts-in-progress as Drafts that can be modified over and over before eventually being posted. Or, if you create a Draft that you don't need, you can delete it instead of posting!

Important Notes
• You cannot create a Draft for a brand new thread. Your post has to be a reply to a thread that is already created (and that you have posting privileges for) to be saved as a Draft. You will not see the Draft button when creating the first post of a new thread.
• If a thread that you created a Draft for is moved, deleted, locked, or otherwise changes so that you no longer have posting permission, you will not be able to Modify or Post your Draft. So don't forget about Drafts you might need!

How to Save a Draft

1. The Draft button does not display when using Quick Reply. (Quick Reply is the handy reply box seen when you scroll to the bottom of any thread that you have permissions to post in.)

You must click the New Reply button to get to see the Draft button.



2. When writing a New Reply, the Draft button is in-between the Preview and Send buttons.



3. Click on the Draft button to save your Draft.

You will see a brief message letting you know the Draft saved.

Accessing Your Drafts

After a Draft has been saved, it will appear in the Draft section of your Profile.

1. Click on Profile to access your Profile options.



2. Click on Drafts at the far right to see your list of Drafts.



3. In Drafts you will see your saved Drafts, along with a total count of Drafts saved.

Editing a Draft

1. To edit a Draft and keep working towards a completed post, click Modify next to the Draft you want to edit.



2. Make your edits. When you are done, for now, click Modify to save your edits to your Draft.



3. When you return to your Drafts list, the time and date will be updated to when you last saved this Draft.

Publishing a Draft

When your edits are complete and your Draft is ready to be posted, you will Publish the Draft.

1. From the Edit screen (reached by clicking Modify from the Drafts list), you will see a Publish option between Preview and Modify.



2. Click Publish to create the post! You will no longer see the Draft in your Drafts list, because it is converted to a post.

Deleting a Draft

If you no longer need a Draft, you do not need to post it. You may delete it instead.

1. Mark the checkbox next to the Draft or Drafts that you want to delete.



2. Click Delete Selected Drafts to delete the Drafts that you have checked the checkbox for.



3. You will be prompted to confirm that you want to delete these Drafts.



If you want to delete them, click Yes.

If you change your mind and want to keep them, click No.

4. You will be returned to your Drafts list. Deleted Drafts will be gone.
