| Advanced Character Profile Character Name: Sinaka Kyralih (Birth name: Sina Kirimid) Gender: Female Race: Miqo'te Tribe: Keeper of the Moon Family: Kirimid-Tyr'a'naa Age and Date of Birth: 28; 1st Sun of the 5th Astral Moon Universe: Final Fantasy XIV MMO Canon or Original: Original Used Canons: 6th Astra Era; the night of the Calamity, the Twelve, and the Sanctum of the Twelve in Eastern Shroud Appearance: | Sinaka is of medium height for a Keeper; while she is taller than some, she would not tower above any but a Lalafell, and while she is shorter than many, she is only dwarfed by the largest Roegadyn and the tallest Elezen. Her fit physique has been honed by years of adventuring, though her appetite for "junk" foods keeps her body from looking too lean or muscular. Her bust and behind are features of mocking pride for her - not too big, not too small, just right, and she loves being a girl and having such curves to show off.
Her hair is grey, highlighted with soft amethyst purple streaks, and from her time in her tribe to now, her hair length and typical styling has changed drastically. When she first left her family she had short-cropped hair, a style that fit her fervor for adventuring, but after the calamity she let her hair grow. When, after five years of waiting, she left Gridania to return to Ul'dah, her hair was past her shoulders, and she kept it from her face in pigtails, a style she soon grew known for. Nowadays, after the fall of Van Baelsar, she continued to let her hair grow, and with the coming of trouble in Coerthas, she let hit down all together, keeping it from her face by way of a secure headband. She enjoys the length and feels more mature for it, feeling like the leader she had become.

Sinaka's skin tone is pale and a little wan, a lighter shade for Keepers of the Moon, but she is proud of her heritage nonetheless. She has a small beauty mark beneath her right eye and a permanent bandage across her left cheek, a reminder of an incident that happened many years ago. Her eyes are dichromatic - one light green, one light blue, and it was her grandmother's belief that such eyes brought only good luck, a fact that Sinaka would occasionally use to tease others with. She has one tattoo: the sign of the Calamity, just above the middle of her shoulder blades. She got the tattoo with the slew of others after the battle of Carteneau, and, as they do, call it the mark of their Legacy.
Typical attire for Sinaka is short shorts or short skirts - she enjoys the maneuverability and the aesthetic when paired with boots. Her favorite casual outfit is a loose, casual woolen shirt, dyed her favorite shade of Rhotano Blue, with similarly died pantalettes and her soft plundered moccasins. When wearing this outfit, armed with her bow, she wears archer's ringbands to protect her thumb and middle finger from string callouses (ha, like they weren't there already) and whatever jewelry she has on hand that has been aspected for dexterity, on the off chance she or those around her may be attacked. | | Personality: Sinaka likes to think she knows who she is. She tries to embody what she values - loyalty, honesty, trust, honor - while keeping things light and amusing for her companions. She likes to play games, she enjoys teasing and putting on over-the-top displays of melodrama to show affection; her idea of a good time is hanging around poking fun and being poked. If everyone's laughing, it's a good time, even if the teasing makes faces turn pink. However, she doesn't respond much when the teasing turns down the sexual innuendo path - she doesn't mind, it's just that she blushes furiously and her brain shuts off. When hot tub parties in the Free Company house go down this road she often goes mute until topics change and she can think again. As far as dreams and ambitions go... Kyra doesn't think about the future too much. She enjoys the present, focusing on time spent with friends in the Company that gathered under the crescent wand banner; too often the rug has been pulled out beneath her, taking her off of one path and placing her on another - she doesn't know what is in store, so she doesn't stress about it too much. She knows she is expected to return to her clan and lead the family - she knows, but she makes no effort to turn her life in that direction, secretly hoping that Tarishae would eventually be given the title for the duties she has performed and Sinaka could continue what she is doing here - helping Eorzea in whatever way she could. Any Unique Abilities/Skills: | Occasionally receives messages from Menphina, the Lover, goddess of the Moon, in the form of strong feelings or, on very rare occasions, strong whispered words in her head. | History:- Early Years to Adventuring:
Sinaka was born as a younger daughter of her core family, first among the children of her own parents but secondary to a daughter of her mother’s twin sister; this birth order gave her a bit more freedom than her “stick-in-the-mud” cousin Tarishae, but she still had her fair share of responsibilities, as her mother-and-aunt were first of her grandmother’s children. Family structure and birth order is a big thing among the roaming Keeper of the Moon clans of Thanalan – it often determined your future career, or, at the very least, your chores. Ever since she was little, her grandmother had told Sinaka that she was meant for greatness, that her multicolored eyes were a message from the Twelve that she was meant for something more; while her family took that as a sign that she might one day lead the Kirimid-Tir’a’naa, she chose to interpret it in a grander sense… Sinaka Kirimid, hero of Eorzea. While cleaning and doing errands for her elders, she often completed her tasks by pretending to be doing some grand quest that saved lives. As she grew, the dream of hers evolved as well, and while in her heart of hearts she still wished to be the Hero of Eorzea, her dreams for the future turned from saving damsels in distress and facing off against the foulest villains ever known, to simply roaming free, away from the confines of her family and clan life, and making other people’s lives better. She wanted to be an Adventurer. Her first brush with an Adventurer was minor – the woman wasn’t saving the day, or hunting down monsters, or even finding missing items; she was simply resting, enjoying the Thanalan sunshine. Sinaka immediately started talking to her, despite the aloofness towards strangers her tribe often encouraged, and found herself in the retelling of an amazing adventure in the Twelveswood surrounding Gridania. She was sold. After what seemed like years of asking (in all honesty, it was years; she met the adventurer when she was fifteen), on her nineteenth nameday, Sina Kirimid, now Sinaka Kyralih, jumped on to a caravan heading to the grand city of Ul’Dah, ready to start her life as a career adventurer, with a promise made to return to the tribe when requested to assist with whatever was needed. The change in her familial name was for her own benefit as well as theirs - if something untoward happened, they could not trace Sinaka back to her family to shame them, and with a new and unique last name, Sinaka could travel unrecognized and without any familial baggage. Later, her last name gave her comfort, as none of her enemies could trace her back to her family. At first her family assumed she would return to take command of the tribe one day, strengthened by her years away and satisfied with her life, devoid of wanderlust and filled with pride for their ways; while she knew that this was a probable course for her life to take, Sinaka still held on to the notion that Tarishae or another young woman would take command of Kirimid-Tir’a’naa, leaving her free to be a hero. - Before the Fall:
While initially her training was in archery, she soon picked up another skill set - that of a conjurer, and ran into a group of people known as the Path of the Twelve, people who shared an ability she had only recently awakened to that they referred to as the Echo. While working with them she got to know some of their primary members a little better, primarily Minfilia, but on occasion she got to work with Thancred, Yda and Paplymo in doing the Path’s work in various city-states. When she was officially initiated she was matched with a Path Companion, someone who would join her on missions, and she him, when given them by the Path. She grudgingly partnered with Soliel Chastain-Chevalier, a hyur lancer from Coerthas who believed as ardently as she that he didn’t need a “Path Companion.” Over the year they spent together, however, they both changed their tune. While they bickered and fought, neither had someone else they could trust more, and their relationship looked like it could turn into something more, until the Moon Fell. The days after the failed attempt at stopping Van Darnus’s plans - an attempt Sinaka and Sol were not part of - things got rough between them; as it seemed there was no future, Sol focused on the past and talked himself into believing that ifthey had been on that mission, they would have been able to do something; these thoughts turned darker still, blaming first himself, and then Sinaka for shortcomings, trying to find reason to why they had not been selected for that mission by Minfilia. When it got really bad, Sinaka left him and returned home, only to be called out that fateful night by the Immortal Flames via linkshell to the Fields of Carteneau. The Garleans had come. She arrived ready to do what she could to save Eorzeans from the fight as the Moon fell ever faster; she found Sol on the battlefield and they reunited, fighting together with ease and trust, but were soon separated from each other when the moon exploded to reveal a Primal Dragon. She had never known such terror could exist. In the chaos that followed she tried her best to save as many people as possible, but lost sight of Sol in the process. When things seemed their darkest, she received a sign and a bidding: Menphina, Goddess of Love and the true Moon seemed to call to her. Being a Keeper, she of course knew of and respected Menphina as a member of the twelve, but that night, as the sky fell and hundreds perished, Menphina’s symbol, glowing brightly in the sky, showed her the way. A soft and heavenly voice called out to her, telling her where to go, how to stay safe, where to find others who were in peril. She was able to save many lives that night, through her healing and Menphina’s guidance, and she swore to forever serve Menphina in return for that kindness. But while many lives had been saved, she never saw Sol again. - The five interim years, and leaving the Sanctum:
During the next five years, Sinaka turned to seclusion in the Sanctum of the Twelve, learning what she could from the religious minds therein, taking lessons in archery from the Gridanians, and attuning herself with her goddess. Sitting in meditation, there were times when Sinaka could feel Menphina’s presence in the sanctum, a soft and comforting aura surrounding her like a warm embrace, and she would occasionally catch the faintest of words. They were never whole, never complete sentences - they were the barest of whispers, the faintest of secrets, of light and love and the Moonlight. Then one day, when strange rumors of a rush of new and returned adventurers reached the Sanctum’s walls, Sinaka received the strongest message yet: “Go.” That very day she left, taking her scant possessions with her as she set out into the world once more, intent to follow the goddess’s wishes and create a fellowship of adventurers that would represent Menphina’s physical presence in Eorzea, a band that stood for Love, and Justice, a company that would never stand down in the face of the unjust and evil. With her first two companions, the Pretty Guardians were created, and have been a small but growing force in Eorzea ever since. In this new Astral Era, Sinaka reforged ties with Minfina and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, and often aided them in their fight against the Garleans and Primals, offering what council she could when requested. When the Garlean threat was diminished, Sinaka and the Pretty Guardians set to carving out a place in the world, and recruiting new members to their ranks, for the world could never have too many Pretty Guardians. - The Heavensong War:
Time passed, and Eorzea’s history darkened; Sinaka did her best to fight against the forces that threatened Aldenard, but in the end the found herself in exile, having traveled to the northern nation of Ishgard to escape political strife against the Scions. As things settled down in Eorzea, travelling in secret to and from the Ul'dah and the other nations, she helped what was left of the Scions start to put things to right, unraveling mysteries of the past to help predict the future that awaited them. In Ishgard she got involved with the Dragonsong War, and doing her best, she helped see through to the end of it, and a brand new beginning for this proud city state. Living in relative peace, Sinaka and the Pretty Guardians take to adventuring in style aboard their airship, the Mare Serentis, but spend much of their time helping where they can. Lately Kyra has taken to delving the depths of the Palace of the Dead, a newly excavated archaeological site filled unexpectedly with monsters and potentially haunted by a spirit with great malice. Other Noteworthy Facts: Sinaka was born under the sign of Menphina. Her favorite colors are rhotano blue, brown, and ivory. Her favorite are the white and pink flowers found floating in the water near Gridania. She's not too picky about food, but with get grouchy when she's hungry. Growing up she slaked off in many of the "worthwhile" lessons on gardening and gathering, and the urge to learn them still does not click with her - she much preferred, as she still does, diplomacy: conversation, debate, and subtle manipulations, along with reading people, are a fun past-time for her, though she does not often step into the political world. - It had been days.
Her eyes glossed over, staring without blinking into the depths of the mug she held tightly in both hands. The world around her had faded, the soft sounds of eating, of halted conversations and quiet sobbing blended into the background, as unnoticed as the ale in her cup or the food on her plate that had turned cold hours ago. Her presence drifted, her exhaustion causing her consciousness to float aimlessly, the strain of previous days having grown so large it buoyed her even as it barricaded her against noticing the happenings in the world going on around her – all but one noise, the one sound her head forced her to pay attention to, to listen for, to separate from the dull undertones of the nation in mourning: the door.
Each time it opened, her bloodshot eyes would focus on it just long enough to identify the newcomer as not the person she was waiting for, and then would go back to staring at the dark liquid in her dark mug. Hundreds of people were missing. Hundreds of loved ones. Hundreds of friends. Hundreds of family members, all gone, neither listed among the dead nor found among the living. In these trying times she knew she could be of better use anywhere but here: she could be assisting the Path of the Twelve in their efforts for relocation out of Ul’dah; she could be helping the Flames keep order outside the city as refugees poured in; she could be aiding those at the Fane to calm the elementals; instead here she was, and here she would remain, doing nothing but watching the door and stupidly hoping his infuriatingly dumb Hyur face showed up.
The door opened and bloodshot eyes shot to examine the newcomer. It wasn’t him, and she returned her gaze to her mug, barely recognizing that its edges blurred.
