Story: "Sailor Moon: Another Story (often abbreviated to "SMAS") was an RPG video game released for the Super Famicom. It borrowed primarily from the storyline of the manga, but also incorporated many details from the anime and included unique elements of its own. SMAS took place directly after the end of the events of the Sailor Moon S season.
The character sprites (including Rei's Grandfather and Yuuichirou) were based on the anime designs, and the vocal samples for attacks were taken from the anime, but plot elements from the manga, such as the fact that the Shitennou were loyal to Prince Endymion without Queen Beryl's mind control, were also present. The Sailor Senshi attacks were taken from both sources. Certain attacks were also altered: Sailor Saturn's "Death Reborn Revolution" and Sailor Pluto's "Time Stop" were significantly weaker in the game and did not end the user's life, respectively.
There were two possible endings, depending on whether Sailor Moon or Sailor Chibi Moon's team defeated the final boss."

GREAT GAME!! wish i had a copy

I love this game. XD It's really a lot of fun! It's basically old-style Final Fantasy... except Sailor Moon.

Well, there are no hard copies in english but you could always play the very well done fan translation through emulator either through the second link on the main post or here.

Let me warn you. As someone who plays a ton of videogames, this is one of the hardest RPGs I have ever played no joke. The grinding is harsh, the battles difficult, and the game makes you work for that next well written plot twist.

This looks really cool! I can't seem to get it to work for me though--it ran super slowly and was glitching on the first emulator I tried, and I downloaded a separate emulator in hopes of running the game on that, but I couldn't get it to start up (it said it was missing a file that it needed in order to run).
Could someone help me with this?

Have you ever played any of the Final Fantasy Legend (/SaGa) games? Now I kinda want to try this game out just to see how hard it really is. XD

I'd personally try downloading everything from Fantasy Anime. Their links/files are trustworthy. Although I haven't tried out the SM game, I've downloaded the SNES emulator, WSC emulator, and FFL game from them, and it all worked just fine.

That's where I tried to download the emulator after the first one didn't work. When I download the SNES9x-64 emulator (I've tried multiple times), I always get this error message:

Huh. Weird. Maybe your computer is 32-bit and not 64-bit? That's the only thing I can think of that might be causing it to not work. Try downloading the Snes9x-32. If that doesn't work then maybe Higan or ZSNES.

I double checked and my computer is a 64-bit, but I downloaded the 32-bit version just to see what would happen--I got the same message though ;-;

But I downloaded Higan and it's working great so far!

Download that file specified in the message and put it in emulator's folder and it will work properly .

It's odd, but some emulators work on certain operating systems better then others (though I've never heard of Higan). Glad everything seems to be working for you so far!

Also, the original link in the first post provides some excellent maps for when you get to the complicated parts of the game, so feel free to use the walkthroughs. I know I did. If I didn't I doubt I would have ever beaten it.

I've heard of this game, and have seen a few clips of it as well.
I liked what I've seen of it.
I know there exists an SNES reproduction cartridge of this in english (It's easy to find on Google)

The cartridge does exist, but it's only in Japanese. The game never got officially translated into english or distributed anywhere outside of japan. There is, however, a fan-translated version that you can play on any PC via emulators provided in the links in this thread. That is unless someone made a project to make an actual replica cartridge with the fan translated data on it.

@Sailor Gallifrey, my fiance and I's usually go to for an SNES emulator is the Zsnes. You can download it here: http://zsnes.com/index.php?page=files

Just download the first file that says "Binary" on the top left of the chart for windows. If you keep having troubles, you can Skype me about it and I'll try to help. Some emulators work beter with some games but I find Zsnes to be the better one and have always used it to play SM:AS.

Growing up with Pokemon games and such, I've always thought it was funny that the playable characters were able to barge into everyone's homes, chat with the people in the house, maybe steal a couple Pokeballs and Potions that were lying around, and were never questioned for doing so.
