Plot Summary:
The Sun has expanded outward, engulfing and destroying the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars and all of their respective satellites. A new ruler has risen to power, Queen Sol, the Empress of the Sun, promising continued peace and prosperity to the dying Solar System. In this distant future, Sailor Soldiers are a thing of the past.

Unbeknownst to the galaxy’s populace, Queen Sol is none other than the Sailor Soldiers' greatest enemy: Chaos. In manipulating the power of the Sun, Chaos has been able to obtain the Mercury, Venus, Mars, and the Golden (Earth) Crystals. Fortunately, she has failed in capturing the Silver Crystal.

In order to obtain the most coveted Crystal, the Crystal she has spent lifetimes trying to steal, the Sun Empress has created two shadow-forms: die Sterne, Morgen and Abend. With these shadow-forms, Queen Sol is able to to scour the galaxy for the Silver Crystal without ever having to leave her palace.

During her hunt for the Silver Crystal, Queen Sol captured Sailor Pluto, but hasn’t been able to extract the Pluto Crystal from the Guardian of Time. As a result, the Queen put Pluto in stasis to keep the Last Soldier from tinkering with her plans.

Banished and outlawed by the Queen, Sailor Cosmos is left to search the stars alone to find the Sailor Crystals (including the Silver Crystal) that remain. The Sailor Crystals of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are hidden somewhere on the remaining colonized planets. She does not yet know where the missing Silver Crystal may be. To assist her in this quest, Sailor Cosmos seeks sailor soldiers from the surviving minor planets of the Solar System. They are less powerful than the original sailor soldiers, but she cannot complete her mission alone.

Sailor Cosmos must find the missing Crystals, and reclaim the ones that Queen Sol has taken, before the new ruler can absorb all of the power of the sailor soldiers from the Solar System and complete her takeover.

It had been so long since she felt that familiar pulse that she had nearly forgotten it. The woman halted, confused, her sudden motion causing the long gray cape to sweep behind her. In the bustling market, several annoyed Jovians hustled past the still figure, grumbling and shooting sidelong glances at the one person interrupting the flow of traffic. She didn't notice or acknowledge them; her dark blue eyes were focused on some distant invisible point. All of her senses were tuned to the soft flow of the universe all around her, searching for the anomaly.

The next jolt of energy shot through her, and her lips parted in a silent gasp.

Could it be... a Sailor Crystal...?

She gracefully exited the crowded center of commerce. Although she was not tall, particularly compared to the average people of Jupiter, they made room for her, melting out of her way to clear a path. There was something in the sharp eyes that commanded instant respect--something in the determined stride of the long legs that announced the woman's authority. Curious eyes peered at her, trying to look past the heavy hood and long folds of dark fabric, wondering what was concealed. They glanced away, guilty, when she chanced to make eye contact.

Turning around a corner into a deserted alley, now away from the general population, Sailor Cosmos clutched her hands to her chest. It had been so long since she had called out to the heavens, praying for sailor soldiers to aid her. She had never given up hope, not after all she had learned from Eternal Sailor Moon, but she had carefully bundled away her expectations to avoid the constant disappointment each passing day would bring. Yet this ordinary day had suddenly turned extraordinary. It was faint, but she could still sense it. Somewhere, a new Sailor Crystal softly glimmered. She could feel it like the heartbeat of an unborn child.

She glanced around, knowing the danger of revealing herself. The great Empress watched all things, seeking the Sailor Crystals she had been unable to capture. Cosmos herself remained hunted, the last great threat to the magnificent and terrible control that woman sought. Only when she was sure she would not be observed did she stretch out one elegant arm and close her fingers around her tall staff, feeling it materialize at her beckon. It was then, tapped into the endless flow of Lambda Power, that she knew where she must go.

One of the other remaining planets of the system that Eternal Sailor Moon loved and protected:

Neptune.

Another day, another agonizing twenty-four hours of wondering whether or not her parents were still alive.

Meredith sighed as she crawled out of bad, padding across her room to access her robe, slippers, and hairbrush. Just like every other day, she would have the same routine of breakfast, royal duties, lunch, royal duties, tea, royal duties, dinner, royal duties, and bed.

Some days were better than others, but lately the workload just didn't seem to end. So many of her people were unhappy, and now that the resident Princess of Neptune had gone missing, Meredith had practically taken over running the entire planet. She had never asked for this responsibility, but it was the least she could do to pay the Neptunian princess for her hospitality and kindness in allowing Meredith and her people into her planet.

But Meredith still worried. Not only for the safety of Neptune's princess, but also for her people and for the planet itself. With Queen Sol currently in power over the galaxy, Meredith always felt uneasy. She couldn't quite figure out why, but a part of her just knew that this wasn't the way life was supposed to be.

She wanted to do something about it. But how?

On Neptune she wandered through the crowds as she had on Jupiter, a regal cloaked figure who attracted a fair amount of attention and yet was forgotten just as quickly by the people she passed. She could still feel the Sailor Crystal that had cried out to her. It was here: hiding, waiting--ready to be awakened. The pull was stronger now, on this planet of waves and sea, but she could not yet pinpoint it.

She wandered down to one of the innumerable beaches, this one overlooked by high cliffs on which a shining palace stood like a beacon. Sailor Cosmos listened to the crash of the surf and felt the brisk wind flutter her dark cape. She felt the soft hum of the planet itself, one bright light in the stream of all things: Lambda Power. Gulls circled overhead, their sharp cries barely audible over the ocean itself. The salt spray clung to rocks. She felt her heels sink into the dense sand.

A long tendril of white hair escaped her hood, the pigtail fluttering like a pennant in the breeze. Cosmos closed her eyes, concentrating. She came to Neptune for one purpose, and she was bound to fulfill it.

"Oh, sleeping Sailor Crystal... can you hear me? Come to me."

Aria woke up more excited than she'd ever been. Today was the day! She was leaving her small planet to start her very first tour. Recently discovered as a singer, and gainging immense popularity, this tour was the start of a wonderful adventure.

As she climbed out of bed, she brushed her strawberry blonde hair and put parts of it into odango. Throwing on a lilac dress, she grabbed her bags to set off. Before leaving her house for what would be a very long tour, she said goodbye to her sister and parents. "I love you guys." She said smiling and closed the front door.

Stepping outside and full of excitement, Aria screamed at the top of her lungs, "First stop, Neptune!"
