first new post in the new guild haha

Hello, folks~

If you read the title of this post, then I guess you already know what's up, at least more or less: I'm really in need of your help right now and would like to receive some critique from you! xD

I applied for a staff position at an international fanbase a week or so ago and yesterday I got a reply saying that they wanted to see some of my 'special skills' that would make me 'stand out from the other applicants'. Personally, though, I think the only 'special skill' I really have are my graphics though these are in need of improvement too and since this is basically not much, I really have to do well with this xD

I made a few graphics today and like... I need some opinions now. My main problem is the coloring I suck at coloring, I have no idea if it looks good this way or not, so if you can give me some tips or comments regarding the coloring (best would be if you could tell me which version looks best xD), I'd love you forever.
If there are other things that bother you, like something in the composition or anything, please bring that up as well, because, really, I don't want to mess up this time, every kind of critique is more than appreciated xD

Maybe I'm not the best person for this because I think they all look fantastic but if I have to pick which ones I liked out of the different versions I'd go with this one for Graphic I and I'm torn between this one and this one for Graphic II. xD

So to be honest, over all I think your coloring is amazing! The graphics themselves are really well balanced and resolved and appealing.

For Graphic I I think I like both of the bottom two equally as much, it really depends on taste from there and I don't think there is a wrong opinion. The top one isn't bad, but I would say that I do know some people tend to dislike the saturation on some things, so while I don't mind it, I think of the three it's a bit much, that being said I do think the bright sunny yellow give it a pop happy mood.

For Graphic II

I actually don't really see any issues with any of the colorings, they all have a very different vibe to them but could all work well depending on what you're using them for how what kind of feeling you want the user to have.

Oh I forgot to mention!

I think in contrast to graphic one vs graphic two in the bright yellow ones is the blue hat, having that contrasting color of yellow/blue changes a lot of the dynamics for me, and it works really well.

Graphic I

I do like the theme you got there, it was clearly a pink-warm theme and you got it right, your pick on flowers complement this graphic very well and the text behind the photo is a trend that i've started to like and it does look good 100% of the time, the font you picked was ok and i would like to know the name for future references. my issue with this graphic is the over saturation that has the first image and the lyrics on the right don't fit very well the composition, my suggestion is to remove that part and it would look better and if you are using photoshop play a little bit with selective color in black to return the man's hair back to look less green and also with yellows to make the skin less golden.

The second image just add a little of contrast so it looks less bright. the third image is just pure perfection <3

Graphic II

Everything looks amazing! composition is way much better in this one and the lyrics was a nice touch here (it fits better with this graphic) the roses png is just <3 and the colorings you used here are just great!

My issue with this graphic is the second image the color you chose for the font blends waaaay to well with the whole graphic, my suggestion is to dark it a little bit.

If i were you i would send graphic #2 because it has better composition, coloring and all that good stuff =)

Anyway, THANK YOU SO MUCH, I don't really know what to say, but you really helped me a lot with your comments and critique, the things you pointed out are now clear to me too and I'll definitely get back to them when choosing the graphics for the reply! :')

Also @Venus, I took your critique to heart and changed the things you pointed out to make the graphics look better Here are the new results if you find some time to check them out (if you find something else I could improve, please let me know, you really are a great help )!

But I still would like to share my opinion as well XD

Graphic I:

The background texture of the pinkish-versions looks so satisfying to me + don't worry about the coloring, it fits perfectly. I too, like the way you added the font behind the render.

Graphic II:

The greyish white one looks best to me! I again, really enjoy looking at it XD. I guess, I even like the font style more than in Graphic I. The bright yellow one looks a bit "too much" to me lol even though I totally love the blue-aspects going on on the girls hat. (contradiction?? XD)

Coming to a conclusion, I'd recommend sending the second graphic .
