I read this at Venus' article on WikiMoon:
Rica Fukami (anime), Nanae Sumitomo (part of ep 163)
Anyone know what the deal is with this? Why did someone fill in as Minako for part of an episode?

If i'm not mistaken, this episode is the one in which the girls are lost in Zirconia's mirror maze and their reflection start to talk to them? I think Fukami might have not really felt comfortable with talking as "eeeevil Venus telling her to stop doing senshi stuff"?

That's a possibility or perhaps she was sick? That happened to Kotono Mitsuishi during the finale of the Classic season. Kae Araki had to replace her (god if i messed up the names i'm sorry but i am terrible at japanese names much less remembering them).
