Who's your favorite Serena?

Terri Hawkes is definitely my favorite. There's something about that Valley Girl accent that I love. Tracey Moore (Princess Toadstool from the Mario cartoons) is nice, too, but I prefer Terri. Linda Ballantyne is a poor Terri Hawkes impersonation (though, when she's not doing her Serena voice, she's okay).

So it's Serena #2 for me!

well, I can only speak about the brazilian voices. we had two, Marli Bortoletto and Daniella Piquet.

I HATE Daniella's voice. She was perfect as Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura, but, she just didn't have the emotion, personality, and everything to play Usagi.

Marli was the perfect choice. so... I prefer Marli.

I remember cringing when I first heard Linda Ballantyne's voice as Sailor Moon. It's too crazy and up-and-down. There's something I don't really like about Terri Hawkes voice either, it's very... throaty I guess. I honestly love Tracey Moore's. I'm not sure if it fits Serena all that well, especially as she gets older, but I think it's cute

The only person I really see fit to be the voice of Sailor Moon is Kotono Mitsuishi, she just fits the role and has a super cute voice

I cannot even GO there with Linda. I was incredibly depressed when the S season aired and her voice came jarring in my ears. Worst thing I have ever heard.

I grew up becoming attached to Terri because she WAS Sailor Moon to me, she was the heart of Usagi. However, now I cannot handle her voice with it's Valley Girl accents. :/ Sorry. I loved her so much but after hearing her Japanese seiyuu, I cannot handle Terri anymore.

Actually, I think Tracey is the best of the three. She is not Usagi to me so much as she is the little girl Usagi that we meet when she is fourteen, however, I think she is so much more natural and is a rather clever VA. When I went back to the DUB I found that I really liked her!

Tracy. out of all 3 she sounds the most like Usagi. she fits her personalty.

My first go through was after they dubbed S for the first time, so I have a soft spot for Linda and her yodeling. XD I do know it gets a little grating, but she was my first Serena.

Going back through as an adult, I did really like Terri Hawkes. The inner monologues she did (even if they were scripted) kind of added a lot to Sailor Moon's character. The episode where she and Tuxedo Mask transform in front of each other and then Serena's revealed to be the princess was an ace use of the inner monologues. Terri did a great job with those.

Tracy just seemed... a little overly dramatic, especially the first episode.

Terri hands down was amazing. I grew up with her for the most part afterall. Tracey was equally as good but should have been able to be around longer ): Linda wasn't horrible but her voice...meh....not the best

Terri and Tracey were both wonderful. However, I have to give it to Terri. I think, as Serena, she had just the perfect balance of Usagi's cute goofiness and her occasional more serious side.

Linda Ballantyne was rather annoying to me. The way she randomly over-emphasized the end of every word that came out of her mouth was just...urgh.

LOL didn't Terri do that over-emphasis on words a lot too? to be honest, I feel really really bad for Linda because she had to fill the shoes that Terri left. I always feel bad for replacement voice actresses that are required to sound like the original

XD Yeah, Terri did it on occasion too, but Linda was worse about it even after she stopped trying to sound like Terri.

Terri Hawkes for me. After listening to her stuff a lot it became very hard to go back to Linda but I got used to her voice after a while. But Terri is always the first voice I hear when I think of the English Sailor Moon.

terri is the first one that comes up in my head when it comes to the english dub of sailor moon.
when i watched s for the first time on toonami, i couldn't stand linda at first. then going on later into the season and super s, she grew on to me. but terri is definitely one of the best serena's the english dub had.

If i remember right Terri did the voice in the classic dub. I really like her. Linda is my least favorite, just something about her voice I dont like for Serena. When did Tracey voice Serena? Could someone post a clip- I am sure i have heard her, but can't remember.

I know it's a rare opinion but mine is Linda.
Now the only portions of the sub I watched are Classic and S. While I liked DiC's job better than Cloverway (I'm a sucker for heavily adaptated dubs. I really love them) and even though Terri's voice fits much more a 14 years old girl I felt like Linda's voice had something that really made Serena somebody who isn't Usagi. I don't know how to explain it properly but... basically, It had a more mature ring to it...? I really can't justify this correctly.

Tracey Moore. She sounds the best. I couldn't stand Terri nor Linda's voices.

For me I guess it was the one from the first season and Super S.   Not sure who did which season.
