Yuna Sasaki uses energy as her magic source. Her body is always pulling in energy, which is both good and bad. Yuna is a powerful mage, and can use the energy to create energy balls to use as attacks and can make energy shields. However, her energy is also destructive. She does not have total control over her magic, and the guild's master she belongs to gave her an artifact amulet made of a rare blue gem to wear to control her magic use. If Yuna takes the amulet off, which is located on a silver chain around her neck, energy that is in her body would release and cause destructive forces. This use to happen several times before Yuna joined the guild, Fairy Tail, and obtained the amulet thanks to the master.

***When Yuna is about to release a large amount of energy, she will glow a faint blue.

History:
Yuna Sasaki is from a village in the far mountains to the north of Fiore. The village didn't believe in magic, and shunned any magic users (mages). Yuna knew about her magic for many years, but hid it from her family and village. On her 16th birthday Yuna's secret was discovered when she was with her friends. Yuna's energy magic was suppressed for so long that when she heard a loud crash of thunder, energy exploded from her body, and Yuna was knocked unconscious along with many buildings damaged. (Because of her young age, the blast was minimal compared to later incidents). Many people were convinced it was lightning, but her friends ratted her out and Yuna was sent to isolation. Her parents kept her locked in her room for almost two years with minimal human contact. She was only allowed to leave to use bathroom facilities, and to open the door to get food. Yuna

On her 18th birthday, Yuna's energy once again released one day when she was upset in her room. She was upset that her friends and family had turned their backs on her because she was different. Yuna did not fit into what the village found normal and no one had been born there with magic abilities for generations. Her energy released, and her house was damaged. Yuna wasn't knocked unconscious like the first time, but was very weak. Her home was located a little ways from the main part of the village, and her parents were out. Before anyone could react to the blast, she vanished with nothing but the clothes on her back and her only friend a small teddy bear into the forest. For several nights she roamed until a mage named Mira found her because Yuna's energy once again released for a third time. Yuna was laying starving and weak in the forest. Mira guided her to the guild Fairy Tail, the guld she herself belonged to. There she learned to control her magic, how to use it, and was given an amulet to constrict her energy so she wouldn't be destructive.

One year later, now 19, Yuna now lives in an apartment in downtown Magnolia.
