Japan loves word games, and しりとり (Shiritori) is no exception.

How to Play
Player One starts with a word. Player two then says (or writes!) a word that starts with the last character from Player One's word. If you play a word ending in N (ん) you lose the game. There are no Japanese words that start with N (ん). Na, Ni, Nu, Ne, and No (な、に、ぬ、ね、の) however, are possible.

Example: りす (risu, squirrel)　→　すいか (suika, watermelon)　→　かに (kani, crab)　→　にっき (nikki, journal)　→　きん (kin, gold)

The person who played きん (kin) would lose, because it ends in N (ん).

Rules
❁ You must wait for someone to take a turn before going again - please don't double post!
❁ Only nouns are allowed (place names and Japanese people's names are okay, though!)
❁ Words cannot be repeated.
❁ Play a word ending in N (ん) and you lose! Don't worry, though, we'll just start again.
❁ If possible, try to put both the Japanese and the romaji, along with the English translation. It'll be a fun way for everyone playing to learn some new words!
