Alright, so for the Around the World in 30 Days challenge, I was thinking that we could start an RP with the girls exploring NYC. We could come up with a few cool places for them to go and look at (and inevitably cause trouble), and maybe run into a mysterious creature to fight when the sun sets. You never know what's lurking in those New York sewers...

It's not just the sewer tunnels.  There are lots of places in NYC with unused subway tunnels!  For example, the track tunnels for the former stations that aren't used any more.  And there have been so many attempts to make a 2nd Avenue subway line in Manhattan, but the project has never been completed.  There's got to be lots of unused subway tunnel length there also!  Being an enthusiast about any type of trains, I could go gaga exploring the possibilities about this idea !


EDIT : I just wanted to make that suggestion.  I'm not saying we have to do it.  BTW, one section of the 2nd Avenue subway is currently under construction.  But there's still got to be quite a bit of tunnel length outside that segment.

Added! I'm a little busier that usual this week, but I'll get the RP up and running sometime soon.

I was trying to see if I had any locations I could suggest that the sailor soldiers visit, but all I can think about are the restaurants or dessert shops that I like. XD Maybe the girls could get doughnuts or cupcakes at some point during their visit?

Oh yeah, they could definitely go to a few places to eat! ^^

Would anyone be interested in heading to the Bronx Zoo? That's another activity/sightseeing event.

We don't actually need it finished to get it to fit the event, so we can let if stretch on if we;re really enjoying it. ^^ I think we just need five posts?

I agree with Sailor Mercury - I'd also rather not rush it.  We can have more fun in this role-played trip by not confining it to one month in real-life time, and just shooting for 5 role-play posts from each player by 5th July.

And in thinking about it, I like her idea of the girls going to a museum.  After all, there's comedy potential if Ami is in her own world studying the exhibits (which I would imagine her doing) while Usagi and/or Minako get bored & start goofing off in the museum, if those players so choose.

I think they ought to see MoMA (the Museum of Modern Art). ♥

Are we still accepting ideas for places the girls & Mamoru can go to while in NYC?  Because I agree with Sailor Mercury that the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building would be virtually required places to visit.  (BTW, I think they better start early on the day they go to the Statue of Liberty, from the one experience I remember of going there one summer day in the 90s.  I somehow figured out we took the second ferryboat of the day from Battery Park (the southern tip of Manhattan) to Liberty Island.  But there was still a line to climb the ladder inside the Statue of Liberty to get to the top.  And by the time we got back down from the top, I noticed the line was much longer, spreading outside the entrance inside the statue quite a ways.)

But I've now also got 1 or 2 other ideas.

[1] Maybe the same day that they go to the Statue of Liberty, they could also go to Ellis Island, to see what immigrants to the country went through to get a better life, even though they most likely don't know any such immigrants personally.

[2] I've heard a lot about Coney Island in Brooklyn, even though I don't remember ever going there.  Would this be another good destination for them?

Finally, I've got a question about the place they currently are in this RPG - Katz's Deli.  I just want to make sure it has a public bathroom, because I was thinking of having Ami go there to wash her hands in my next post.

I think Coney Island would be fun, not sure about Ellis Island unless we just want a very straightforward tour around. 

And you can have a bathroom in there, it won't affect anything. No need to be authentic about everything in a restaurant. XD
