Character Name: Antares Shaula Astera
Antares is the name of the brightest star of the Scorpius constellation, also know as "the heart of the scorpion", and a possible reference to Antar, an ancient Arabic knight and poet. Shaula is the second brightest star in the constellation, and one of the overall brightest in the nighttime sky, meaning "the raised tail" after its position as the stinger of Scorpius. The surname Astera has the Greek root word for "star-like" within it.

Appearance: Antares is 5'3" with a thinner, wiry build. She has muscle, but does not look physically intimidating, being about 125 pounds. Antares is built for speed and precision, not raw strength. Her skin is dark, and her hair changes from brown to a brighter orange from her roots to the tips. She ties part of it into a long, thick braid that mimics a scorpion's tail, and the rest freely flows down her back and to her knees. Her eyes are an intense brown, and they always look a bit narrowed in agitation. Her expression doesn't soften much, so she comes off as a little annoyed until she truly relaxes.

Antares doesn't like overly restricting clothing, and much prefers dresses and skirts that are both looser and won't catch on her if she moves suddenly. She doesn't mind if she shows skin or not, as long as they fit her criteria of comfort and aren't restraining, and likes shawls, gloves, and wraps as accessories. She gravitates to deeper colors like purple, violet, red, or orange.

Personality: Antares is a quiet, serious, and private girl at first glance, but on the inside, she is a tightly controlled ball of fire and emotions. It takes a long time to gain her trust, but once a person has it, she is loyal to them and expects loyalty back. Betraying her is a fatal mistake, as she never forgets when she is wronged and is quite vengeful. She can stew on things for years until she is satisfied. Her feelings can be easily hurt once she lets a person behind her walls, but instead of crying about it, she becomes resentful and closes herself off again. Despite her less than outgoing appearance, Antares is very determined and willful when her mind is set on something, and becomes almost obsessed with a task until it is completed. Her few friends see her softer passionate and protective sides more often, and Antares sometimes becomes jealous when other people monopolize the ones she cares about, thought she won't admit it at first. Antares feels excluded from others, and finds it hard to get a sense of belonging in a group.
Any Unique Abilities/Skills: She can create, control, and remove poisonous or venomous substances. Her own created poison causes a temporary effect that allows her to hypnotize the injected person until it wears off. She also has very fast reflexes and is not very affected by any foreign substances, including other poisons and medicines.

History: Antares is the 8th oldest out of the thirteen sisters from the Astera Galaxy. She grew up knowing only 11 of them, unaware of the 13th child being banished in response to a dark prophecy. When Chaos attacked their kingdom, they banded together to fight, though they were overcome and their home galaxy was destroyed. The senshi were weakened to the point of retreating into their Sailor Crystals, and over the course of many years, recovered their forms.

Hundreds of years passed by before Antares awoke again, far away from her siblings and with many holes in her memory from the final battle. Her senshi abilities were weakened and she found herself alone in unfamiliar territory. She retreated into herself, confused and suspicious, until she was approached by a woman known as Queen Stella. Stella helped her recall her past as Sailor Star Scorpio, and brought her back to her sisters to serve in her Stella's Kingdom. Not fully trusting her, but thankful for having her family again, she listened to Queen Stella's orders. At her words, they quelled rebellions in her lands promising them that they would soon be as strong as they once were before Chaos defeated them. 

When they were told to assassinate an king that was supposed to be evil, Antares poisoned him herself to spare her sisters the burden of the task, but still felt the guilt gnaw at her. At Cassidy's prompting, they began an investigation around the castle to see if Queen Stella was really telling the truth. Antares and Reva attempted to break into Stella's room, but the Queen caught and summoned all the sisters to the throne room, where her true identity and nature are revealed. Feeling the weight of being manipulated to kill an innocent man, Antares almost succumbs to Stella's offer of joining Chaos, seeing no other option to them all. Her other sisters show their compassion for her, and she is touched enough by it to stand with them once again. 

Together with the combined abilities of her sisters, Stella's inherent goodness is brought to the surface again, and she awakens as Sailor Star Ophiuchus, the last Asteria. For the first time, they are all free of Chaos and united as one team.

• Antares loves arachnids more than any other animal, and is sympathetic to bugs in general
  
• She often acts like she doesn't need attention, but is secretly pleased when one of her elder siblings acknowledges her, especially Reva
  
• She doesn't like touching people or having others touch her in general, though there are exceptions to her stance

Powers:

• Scorpio Stab- Her hands glow, and she strikes a target, injecting them with her special venom.
  
• Hypnosis- Scorpio can give a psychic suggestion to those who are poisoned by her. It only lasts as long as the venom does in their system.
  
• Toxic Claw- She can summon the shape of a scorpion's claw out of energy that can pin down or crush an enemy.
  
• Venomous Leak- Scorpio can create pools of venom that poison those who come in contact with it. It fades after a short while.
  

Weapons or Magical Items: 
Star Scorpio Crystal - Her Sailor Crystal used to transform into Sailor Star Scorpio. It's kept inside of her. It's a topaz colored star shaped stone with with the sign of Scorpio within it
Stellar Communicator - This small star-shaped item allows her to send messages and have conversations with her sisters in the absence of Iris/Sailor Star Gemini's telepathy.
Scorpio Stingers- A pair of needles that extend from the metal cuffs around her wrists. They can be used to focus her venomous power and extend her reach with her attacks.
