Much like the Fake Zoisite Moon, they're just reusing the original sculpts in order to churn out new things quickly.

They literally just added an extra transparent sleeve and changed the brooch lol.

I don't really mind that they're only making slight modifications. I'm sure there is interest in the Super forms. A lot of people seem to generally prefer that design.

I do, too, actually, but of course they released the originals first and then do this. So even if I prefer it over the original, I'm not going to buy a near duplicate of the one I already own :\

I think the issue here is that there are a lot of other figuarts that people have been waiting to see like Eternal Sailor Moon, the Starlights and possibly even some based of the villains and then they turn around release this. There's just really not enough changes to get me to buy this especially when the 1st set of figuarts are cheap now.

When they make choices like this, it makes me wonder what current Sailor Moon Figuart demand in the Japanese market is like. Obviously there are people who want to see new characters, but with the sculpting involved for those new releases versus how quickly they can produce most super forms, I'm not at all surprised that the company has made that choice. I would still like to see new characters and more unusual designs. There are probably still plenty of people willing to buy these rehashed designs to make it financially viable. I'm also not sure how far they were ever planning to go with the Figuarts line, in terms of branching out into other characters such as villains. It was never clear to me how popular figures and garage kits of those less "standard" characters are.

Wow, this is really, really stupid.

Zoisite Sailor Moon was a one off fun exclusive. This is milking the cash cow hard. I could see how the Eternal forms would warrant a new figure, since those are different enough from their original costumes, but this is nearly insulting. I only own Venus and Saturn and am preordering V, but I will not shell out money for near duplicates of figures I already have.

Here's hoping they have significantly different faceplates for people who might want them.

I was surprised that we got a Sailor V and Tuxedo Mask figuart as well as the Stars/BMC petite characters so that's mostly why I've personally been pretty hopeful about maybe getting more unique figuarts. 

I've also kind of seen moves such as this as that Bandai knows that there are people who will buy anything related to Sailor Moon, specifically collectors, no matter what it is. It's easy money for them.
