I actually really liked this episode. The art is really gorgeous, especially with the hair details.

And Chibiusa's transformation not being in CGI (I think? Correct me if I'm wrong) makes it look a THOUSAND times better. It just confirmed my suspicion that it could have all been so much prettier in 2D.

So next episode is the last one. My guess is they might take a hiatus before continuing if they do continue, because some anime do that. SAO apparently took a two year wait between seasons... I honestly don't mind if it means they're going to step up the quality. It took them two years to make this one anyway.

I agree on the hiatus, II wouldn't be surprised. the dubbed version of Crystal debuted at Anime Expo so I'm thinking they might let those settle before the Dream arc.

Other than for certain scenes, the artwork was just...wow like the hair strands and then in one screenshot where Usagi's eyes were so filled with tears while looking over Pluto. Part of episode 21's animation team was doing this episode and I hope that they do it for the next!

I'm pretty sure they did this in 2D if not the ribbons are in 3D. It's hard to tell with this video's quality. 

Minus the weird leg movement from the beginning and the music this is a really solid transformation. Much better than the other Crystal transformations. Kind of makes me mad that Chibiusa got the best transformation. Then again she didn't have a proper one in the 90s anime. She was only given one in the S movie. 

If the show does go on I hope they redo the Inner transformations in this style.

The execution is pretty iffy but that's one thing Crystal suffered from many times before. I expected more from the death scene and I don't mind the change with Demande's final scene but it could have been way better as well. The lack of movement from certain scenes were annoying, like the part where they were engulfed into the depths of Death Phantom and they were supposed to be falling or when they tried attacking Wiseman. On the bright side, I really like how some scenes were drawn well. Like with that certain scene with Usagi and her impressive messy hair. Chibi Moon's transformation was surprising great and I also like how the inners tried attacking Wiseman as well. Overall, it's not good (for me) but it does have some noteworthy parts.


Sidenote: I decided to watch this episode even though I still haven't watched Acts 18 to 24. Lol!  I really need to catch up before the final episode..

Some scenes in this episode looked phenomenal, but most of it was really shoddily animated again. While I personally hope this series doesn't continue, I could see it reappearing after a year or so. Hopefully by that time, Toei Animation will have its act together.

the ending though. It was about to get really good then the episode ended! Here go two more weeks of waiting!

Nope! I feel like they take forever. 

Pluto is such a boss. There were some stunning shots in this episode. I'm choosing to ignore the bad ones.

This episode had some of the best animation I've seen from this series. I seriously need some screen shots of things. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode like crazy. Watched it 3 times so far.

Here are some thoughts:

I enjoyed the episode quite a lot, it was a fitting end for Prince Demando, though idk if it was the English subtitles or not, but his declarations to Death Phantom still came across as strange and obsessive over Neo Queen Serenity.

I cried some, but not as much as I was expecting. I felt so bad for Chibiusa though when she awakened and realized Pluto was dead. 

Diana continues to be the most adorable and wonderful character. One of the few things I wish the original anime had included was Diana across R & S instead of just SuperS.

Ain't no fury like an angry Usagi. Sheesh! She's terrifyingly powerful when she gets mad

The Inners FINALLY do something! And we get to see their attacks again! Although Shine Aqua Illusion is disappointing.

The first half of the episode was so emotional, I think they did such a fantastic job with the Voices and everything! Once things ramped up in the second half, I was impressed at the pacing/climax, and was definitely left with "AUGH! NO!" when the episode ended. 

Some beautiful shots with the animation in this one, I really hope they keep that quality for the finale's first showing, instead of waiting for the Disc release/fixes. It really helped keep the mood going, and overall <33

I enjoyed the 2D transformation, though she still seemed pretty "jelly" like in movements. But it really helped to not feel taken out of the moment of the episode? Where the change into 3D seems to break the immersion a bit, I suppose. I still "accepted" the other henshins awhile back, but I guess that's the best way I could describe it, lol. 

I actually haven't read the whole translated manga, so I don't know what difference there are with Diamond and stuff, but omg I am in love with Diana <3 What an absolute sweet character! I loved how she offered to watch the Gate last episode. Was she not Chibi-Usa's friend prior to this incident, or was she still too young or something? 

But dang, excited in such a bittersweet way <3

I just wish they did something about the jelly legs lol

I think that was just part of Demande's character.  He was always obsessed with the queen and I always felt like he was starting to go insane towards the end of the manga story.   I really enjoyed this episode and I was glad it turned out well.  Pluto's

I loved everyone uniting together at the end to fight Wiseman and I was so happy seeing Tuxedo Mask back to normal and helping supporting Usagi.   The scenes with Diana were also all really good and I love her character so much in this.  There was one scene at the end that was a bit awkward to me where everyone was just standing there and nothing was happening and it just looked kind of silly.  But overall it was a great episode and I hope the next episode is just as good.  I really hope we get another season but if we don't get one, I hope we at least go out with a bang as I really love the finale of the Black Moon arc as it's one of my favorite manga arcs.

Okay so I was crying like a baby before the title card for the hiatus came up.

The details on Sailor Moon hair at some points were gorgeous! I´m impressed! And I have no complaints about Chibiusa´s transformation. Actually, I thought it was about time for her to get a decent one (Since on 90´s S anime she only had a transformation sequence once and Super S does not count for me since it was along with Usagi.)

And this Act in particular... Oh my. Of course I almost cried. I really hope we get a good third season so we can see her again.
