Yep! I've been a beta tester for several games omg can they be glitchy lol and once I was an Alpha tester which was worse. You really need a lot of patience for that kind of stuff.

It's unique in SAO for beta testers who hoard their information to advance levels quicker than everyone without helping others. Kirito was the first person with this label.

Yes, it's precisely that. They have a bad reputation. ^^ If Puu wants, those selected characters can be regular beta testers instead of beaters so they don't start off the bat with a negative image. (But it could be interesting too, so whichever works)

I think maybe having someone accuse them of being beaters/coming up with the term in the RP would be interesting

Okay I have finished the spreadsheet (link in main post)! As you'll notice, there are some gaps and things left out for certain characters. Below, I have posted what I need from each of you individually. Just reply back in this thread with the information I need, and I'll add it to the spreadsheet

Sailor Mercury: Do you want Asuna to live throughout the entire roleplay, or are you okay with her dying at some point? What about Ami?

Princess Moon: Do you want Klein to live throughout the entire roleplay, or are you okay with him dying at some point? Is there a specific type of sword you would like him to have as a weapon? The same two questions apply for Melantha.

Aurae: Do you want Usagi to live throughout the entire roleplay, or are you okay with her dying at some point? In your profile, you listed three skills for Usagi to have, but only two can be activated at one time. Which two skills would you like to be activated at the beginning of the game?

Right now I am at work for another 6 hours. Afterward, I have to run a few errands. I'll look into the skills and get back to you this weekend.

Of the three skills I chose, I view Acrobatics and Cooking as her priority/default active skills.  Those I see as the ones she'd use most regularly, whereas Sewing she would just make active at the specific times when she is called on to make clothing for herself or an ally.  I would hope I can do that.  So she short and simple answer to your question is Acrobatics and Cooking.

She's training in one-handed blades, daggers, two-handed blades and blade throwing, probably swapping between the two sword options based on what gear is better at that moment in time XD

I'm not opposed to having Usagi die or survive. I could work with either. She'll initially have Acrobatics and Familiar Communication.

She will have a spear-type weapon, but I wasn't sure if you had any specific ideas in mind as to what kind of spear, what material it's made from, etc. If not, then I'll just list her as having a regular spear that can be upgraded to be stronger.

oh ok..well I'm just thinking regular one that could be upgraded..i didn't think of other stuff..

I reviewed the list and thought that Searching and Straining would be the most appropriate abilities for Anya, and maybe First Aid since mages tend to have that as a default spell in most MMOs.

Are the characters allowed to be roaming around in say...a field or something before their avatar is summoned to the city? 

Also, will you be waiting for all of our introduction posts before having the characters appear in the city? I started writing an introduction and wanted to make sute that I still had time to work on it since I also need to be contacting professors about graduate school this month.

Your avatar can be wherever - in a field, in a dungeon, in the city, at an ocean, battling low-level monsters, whatever you please!

Take your time! I at least want to have everyone in the city by the end of November.

Note for Everyone: Remember that I'm using a die system when it comes to battles! So if I make a post saying that a monster has come across your character, I will be rolling a die to see how your character's attacks work!
