In her first appearance, Sailor Venus introduced herself as the princess. What she did not foresee was her ability to play the role too well and how this decoy plan could end up backfiring in a fatal manner. Even though she intended to be the person the enemies focused on, she did not realize that she would also cause the other senshi to put her safety above everyone else's, including that of the real princess, Usagi. When facing a battle against Kunzite, who was trying to kill the princess, both Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus got attacked. Sailor Jupiter, along with Mars and Mercury, went to save Venus' life, leaving Sailor Moon to fend for herself. She did not succeed. The attack was fatal, and she died.

Now Venus must deal with the consequences of her lie; figuring out how to save the world without the true princess and the Silver Crystal, as well as facing her fellow guardian senshi. Realizing that telling them the truth will only crush everyone's spirit and cause resentment, with immense guilt Venus is forced to carry on the charade, now really stepping into the shoes of someone else that she knows she can never, ever truly fulfill.

This takes place during the Dark Kingdom arc in an alternate universe.

When Kunzite attacked both Sailor Venus and Sailor Moon during a showdown, the senshi chose to save the one they knew as their princess; Venus. Sailor Moon fell from the Tokyo Tower to her death. When they checked on her body, it quickly dissipated. They soon also discovered that Usagi's family did not remember her existence. The senshi regrouped at the command center and Venus decided she had to keep up the lie, otherwise they had no chance of winning the battle. After asking everyone if they were still willing to fight now that death was an obvious risk, Mars, Mercury, and Jupiter all chose to stand by the "princess".

The next day, Venus finally found the Dark Kingdom base at D-Point and the senshi prepare for their final battle. Only Venus knows they might be marching to their death now that the Silver Crystal was never going to appear.

This veers off from the Crystal episode where Venus first appeared, so everything will be based on the first arc. Tuxedo Mask will still be in love with Sailor Moon, but he thinks Venus is the princess that he loved before, which will result in some internal conflict.
