Minako eagerly followed her friends, happy to be going on yet another adventure. A memory of her time serving as Sailor V all by herself crossed her mind, and Minako smiled. She would never be doing that again.



Minako fell right onto her boot, and the first thing that caught her eye was her hair that had fallen into her face. 

It. Was. Gorgeous.

Still it's long length, her hair was blond with bright red streaks through it. Squealing with joy, Minako stood on shaky legs and looked at her friends. "Look! Look at my hair!" she said, bouncing up and down and almost falling again. It was then that she noticed how uncomfortable her body felt, and how her friends looked like animals.

Minako paused, her mouth falling open. Suddenly everything made sense. She spotted a small pond not to far away and ran towards it on all four legs, stumbling a couple times. At her arrival, she looked at herself in the mirror and squealed. 

"I'm a PONY!!!!!!!!"

Unable to contain her joy at being such an adorable, lovable creature, Minako galloped to her friends with her smile brighter than it had ever been. "We're ponies!!!" she exclaimed, as if they hadn't already figured that out. 

While her friends dealt spoke with the princess, Minako couldn't help but be distracted. She stood behind them, tossing her hair, flicking her tail, spinning in circles, bucking, bouncing, and doing practically anything that she couldn't do in her old body. She couldn't wait to see what new powers she had in this world!

"Unfortunately, I cannot answer you to how you can use your powers. As they differ from mine, how you find them and use them would be different. What I can tell you is that unicorn pony's use their horns to control their magic. Perhaps concentrating on that and using your horn to direct your magic may work?" Luna asked, her horn glowing in demonstration of her powers. She nodded respectfully back to the green pegasus pony who bowed to her. Spotting the last of the group to make it through the portal, the Princess could not help but laugh as the blonde scrambled towards the small garden pond to get a good look at her new form. She was as grateful as a filly and just about as enthusiastic. 

Looking over the newly assembled group, Luna couldn't help but notice that there were two Alicorns in their would-be-saviours group. Very interesting. Alicorns are usually leaders, those who possess great power and fortitude to be able to help their people. Why is it only these two that changed into Alicorns? She itched to ask, learning about different cultures as a favourite pastime of hers, but she did not know if such questions would be considered rude and decided to allow the matter to drop. 

"Come, we shall retire inside and discuss the matter at hand while having something to eat. I am sure you are all tired and hungry from your journey. The realm is safe enough for the time being that we are able to wait until the morrow to begin."

Usagi listened to Princess Luna's words. Unicorns use their horns to control their magic. There had to be a way for her to learn and adapt her powers as Sailor Moon to her new form. She had felt a strange weight on her head, and now she understood that it was probably a horn. The wings on her back were so much more obvious--she could feel the muscles and structure shift with every movement. They had somewhat distracted her from the possibility of other... um, magic horse... stuff.

The mention of food was more than enough to get Usagi moving.

"Wow, I wonder what type of meals they serve here!" she commented to her friends, following Princess Luna. "This place must be so interesting!"

"How are we supposed to transform when we don't even have hands to grasp our pens? Where even are our transformation pens?!" Rei shouted, getting frustrated at the situation.  

Then she sighed. The Pony called Luna had said they would have access to their magic just as they would in their world, but it was not reassuring to Rei. What if something happened and she couldn't protect her friends? What if she couldn't protect this world they were summoned to?

"I use my horn to control magic?" Rei thought to herself as she looked into a puddle and realized she was a unicorn. Rei tried, but nothing happened.

Ami was quiet as she contemplated what Princess Luna had told her. Unicorns used their horns for magic, so if she just concentrated, then she should be able to use it. Did they not need to transform here then? Ami needed to experiment with this... As Luna led them to what she assumed was a dining area for food, She lagged a little as she focused on her horn, trying to recall the sensation of using her magic as Sailor Mercury.

Her eyes fell shut as she walked, and her horn sputtered a few sparks before glowing a steady ice blue. And then bubbles started to form from the tip and break off, slowly spreading out from her as she created them. Ami gasped and opened here eyes as one floated down and popped on her snout, startling her into losing her grip on the spell. Her horn stopped glowing, but the bubbles remained, to her embarrassment and fascination.

"Sorry," Ami mumbled. "I didn't meant to do that..."

Usagi giggled gleefully at Ami's demonstration. If she had hands, she would have clapped them. She settled for stomping her front hooves gently on the floor, her body shaking with laughter and happiness.

"That was amazing, Ami!" she squealed. "I wonder what else you can do."

A bubble floated her way and she tried to pop it with her own horn, still mirthful. She hadn't yet thought to try her own powers. There was a quiet voice in the back of her mind wishing that Luna was here, to lend guidance. ...Of course, there was a Princess Luna. Maybe that would wind up working the same way.

"That's quite alright, all young foals go through similar experimentation when they are exploring their magic," another voice called out, voice heavy with amusement. 

"I would like you to meet my sister, Princess Celestia," Princess Luna introduced, pride and awe of her sister in her voice. The Alicorn that had joined them was taller than Princess Luna, and had the same type of shimmer to her mane than the Princess of the Moon. Celestia's mane shimmered brilliantly in blues, teals, greens and pinks that complimented her pristine white coat and the golden crown and necklace she wore. 

"Welcome to Equestria, I am honoured that you have come to help us, and I wish we could have met under better circumstances."  Celestia bowed to the senshi, as much as an Alicorn could, her wings expanded to their full length with one leg crossed over another, head dipped down, causing a few nearby guards to raise their eyebrows, never having seen their Princess bow to anyone before.

Usagi's attempt to return the bow was far less graceful.

"Thank you, Princess Celestia," she replied, having dragged herself somewhat awkwardly back to a more normal standing position.

She struggled with how to express herself after this point. Obviously, they were there to help. Usagi could never turn down the chance to help someone in need. Her soft and loving heart couldn't stand by idly and watch suffering. At least Ami had begun to understand how to use her powers in this strange and new realm. Turning into some kind of small horse thing was not something the blonde had expected or planned, but now they needed to learn new things--and quickly. It pained her to know that Chaos was out there, in a realm unequipped to resist it, needlessly causing harm to innocent creatures. She had to do something--she would have volunteered even if it wasn't her duty.

"Uh...it's a pleasure to meet you both," Makoto said, following Usagi's lead and bowing. She felt a little clumsy and off in this new form, but Makoto was good at adjusting. "We're...happy to help." After hearing Luna's comment about a horn on their head, Makoto began to worry. She could already tell that there wasn't a horn on her head, so how was she supposed to channel her magic? All she had were these wings. What good would they do if she couldn't kick butt with her thunder? 

Pushing back her worries for now, Makoto focused only on listening to what the two princesses of this world had to say. As fascinating as this world was, she already couldn't wait to be back on two legs with her transformation pen safely in her pocket.

Ami was stunned by the second pony that greeted them. Did they have two monarchs in this land? And this one was larger than Princess Luna. Did they have equal prestige? Following the example set by her friends, Ami fell into a short bow.  

Despite Princess Celestia's words, Ami couldn't help but feel weaker in this body. She was so used to knowing how to do things, and now she was back to experimenting and hoping things worked out. Maybe there were books around here that would help them figure out how to fight...

Usagi's stomach growled loudly, interrupting an otherwise-regal moment.

"Hahaha," she twittered nervously. "Maybe we can continue these discussions over lunch, as Princess Luna mentioned before?"

She had so many questions--where they were traveling, when they were leaving, what anyone remembered of the evil forces, what had happened so far, anything the ponies had learned, etc. Usagi knew that it had to be Chaos, but was it some enemy they had faced before in Tokyo or something entirely new? She wasn't looking forward to having something to fight, but at least she knew that's exactly what she had been signing up for when she agreed to help. At least they wouldn't be without a guide--it sounded like Princess Luna would be accompanying them, unless she had misunderstood.

Luna smiled at the young Princess's enthusiasm for food. In many ways, she reminded her of a certain filly she use to know. Putting the memory aside, she ushered them inside to a meeting room they had set up with pillows and variety of food, unsure what their guests would eat. She hoped they hadn't accidentally put anything out that would offend their guests. As ponies, they didn't eat meat as their neighbours the Griffins did, so their diet was centered around fruits and vegetables they could grow themselves, apples, especially ones from Applejacks farm, being a favourite. 

"Sit, please." Claiming a seat herself, she made sure her motions were slow, in order to show their new guests how to sit on the pillows easily and for those who had wings, how to use them to balance and then settle them afterwards. 

"Normally we would save the discussions for after the meal, but for expediency sake, I hope you do not mind," Celestia said, settling herself close to her younger sister. 

"As you know, an evil being from your world has made its way into ours, wreaking havoc upon Equestria, putting my subjects in danger. It has even gone so far as to free a great danger to the land that my sister and I sealed away a long time ago." Sometimes she found it best not to mention how old she really was. While the ponies in her land knew the stories and had an idea, she wasn't so sure their guests would take it. 

"Our magic barely works against the evil from your world, which is why we need your help. We think that if you take care of the source of the evil, it should end all of the calamity in the world. Our scouts have informed us that the epicenter seems to be high off in the mountains at the edge of our lands."

Where he was. Luna thought bitterly to herself.

"I know this is a lot to take in," The Princess of the Sun said kindly. "Feel free to ask any questions, even ones about our lands and magic." She looked at Ami knowingly, seeing the same thirst for knowledge that she saw in Princess Twilight.

This was a lot of information to take in. Almost too much. It wasn't enough to dampen Usagi's appetite, of course, but she felt rather overwhelmed. It made her think back to when she was first awakened as Sailor Moon. At the time, there was nothing that she wanted more than to turn it down and be a normal girl, instead of a fighter for justice. There was still a tiny part of her that felt that way right now... but she had grown so much in the years that followed. Not only was it her duty to help, she wanted to help. Usagi couldn't let them face this alone, especially when she knew that she and her friends had the powers to defeat evil.

"Does the evil have a name or shape? What about the thing it released?" she asked, cringing slightly. She had to ask but she didn't really want to know.

Minako followed the princesses, adjusting to her wings easily as she sat down at the table. She wasn't too displeased by the food, though some desserts would have been the cherry on top of her marvelous cake of a day. Nonetheless, she dug into the fruit, avoiding the vegetables like the plague as she listened to Princess Celestia speak.

Swallowing the mouthful of apple, Minako said, "I actually have a question as well. You probably know this from your observations of us, but anyway, the five of us fight with access to our magical powers. I understand that these horns on our heads are meant to channel those powers, but what if, like my friend here, we don't have a horn?" She tilted her head towards Makoto, who returned a slight smile.
