Gloria left her apartment and started her day, and when I say her apartment, I mean the apartment she currently decided to claim as hers. You see, Gloria doesn't have an income, and because she can shadow travel, she has made a habit of entering newly furnished apartments and living in them until real tenants come along.

She made her way down the corner, and out onto the busy sidewalk that flowed with tourists. "Tourists are such a marvelous thing." she said to herself. She wanted to be one, so see somewhere that wasn't home. She could easily shadow travel, but going someplace far, well that might be a little risky.

"Are you a tourist?" She asked a strange man. @Yuuta

Outfit:

Yuuta was on his lunch break, he needed coffee badly and was walking to the local coffee cart when he heard someone asking him if he was a tourist. Yuuta turned when he heard someone's voice, it was a young lady. He raised his eyebrow at her question, why was a complete stranger asking hm if he was a tourist.

"Look, I don't know you, or what business of yours it is if I am a tourist or not, but no I am not a tourist, I live here, now if you'll excuse me," he said as he walked away to get coffee, turning back to get one last glance at the girl with quite the captivating look.

Yuuta's outfit:

Gloria began to follow the well dressed somewhat gentleman. "Gloria wants to know why you are so rude." she huffed, now walking at his side. She clenched her fists, feeling her finger joints ache. She needed to remind herself she had to be careful now that she was finally human. Small things hurt humans.

Yuuta huffed in a breath as he turned to face this girl who was now following him. He spoke trying to keep calm as to not attract unwanted attention, "look little lady, I am not going to explain myself to you, I have to get back to work, now if you'll excuse me." He said as he walked off to get his coffee.


What was with people these days just approaching you and wanting to know about you. Yuuta was not rude, he was straightforward and he didnt see anything wrong with that.

Gloria stood motionless after the man exchanged some rude words with her. However, Gloria was not going to let this stop. She followed the man, she found him to appear more attractive to her than other men. Was this normal for humans?

"Gloria thinks you look nice." She said openly, now walking at his right side. "Gloria thinks we should go to Paris!"

Yuuta stopped in his tracks when he heard the girl, her name was Gloria, say she thought he looked nice. "Well thanks little miss, its thanks to my job I can afford to look nice, but if you'll excuse me..." He said before Gloria said she thought he should go to Paris with her.

"What, but I don't even know you, I can't take off work, and I don't know you, are you crazy or something, asking a stranger to go on a trip with you, didn't anyone tell you about the monsters in the world, I think it's safe to say that I am more of a monster than an angel little miss." He said wondering just what Gloria's angle was.


go to Paris....yea right, there was no such thing as just up and traveling the world, not in Yuuta's world.

Gloria grinned. "You can't take off work you say? So by saying that Gloria thinks you have considered it. Gloria can make it happen, even for a little while!"

Yuuta turned and faced Gloria raising an eye brow. Just what did she mean by she could make a trip to Paris happen.

"Are you some kind of magician or something lady, and if what you say is true, how much is it going to cost me?" He said wondering why he was even considering such a crazy idea as going to Paris with a complete stranger and not to mention a woman.


....maybe all the long hours and nights spent at the bar had finally caught up with him, maybe he needed a break and maybe this was it, as delusional as he thought it sounded.

"Take my hand" Gloria grinned, her pale skinned arm outstretched in front of her. She normally had no trouble shadow traveling with others without contact, but she didn't know this man well enough. Gloria didn't want to take any chances of having him stranded because this would be the first time she would have tried to shadow travel so far.

Yuuta glanced at Gloria, he was hesitant to take her hand, he didn't see what the point in holding her hand was, she wasn't a child...was she? He figured he had nothing to lose at this point, his life wasn't exactly anything to get excited about.

As he took her hand he couldn't help but ask bluntly, "just what does holding your hand do, I mean you know we have to fly or take a boat to get to Paris right?"

"Gloria can shadow travel us there." She said without emotion, just before they vanished. 



What felt like hours later, but in time was only a few minutes, they arrived at the base of the Eiffel Tower. Gloria was exhausted. She had pushed herself way beyond her shadow travel limits. She almost collapsed, landing on her knees. She still held Yuuta's hand.

Yuuta didn't even have a chance to react to Gloria before he felt himself being pulled with her. When they stopped moving, he looked up and saw the Eiffel Tower. He felt a slight pull on his hand and looked down to see Gloria on her knees. 

He bent down and placed a hand on her shoulder? "Are you okay?" he asked wondering what just happened and if she was going to be able to get up from the spot where they sat.

"Gloria....used too much power." She said softly, as she looked up into his eyes. "Carry Gloria!"

Yuuta nodded, growing more confused about Gloria, and who...or what she was, was she a witch, a magician, whatever she was, she needed his help.  Yuuta moved in front of Gloria and placed her arms around his neck. He lifted her up and carried her piggy-back style and began walking, not really sure where to go, after all he had never been to Paris.

"Gloria, um is there somewhere you know of we can go, somewhere to get you help, or something?" He asked.

"Gloria has a Life Stone in her, Gloria will be fine in a little while." She said bluntly, but weakly.

"You're gesture is very kind!" She said a little happier. "I don't know anything about Paris. I saw it on a magazine cover this morning, I know they're coffee stands around!"

Yuuta was confused, what the heck was a life-stone, was that what she called a heart? He brushed the thought off as he heard her mention not knowing anything about Paris, but there seemed to be cafe's. Great, he knew no French and she possibly didn't know any French either.

"Well, lets find a cafe and go from there, what do you say?" He asked as he continued to carry her to the nearest cafe so they could take a break and get something to eat.

"Sounds fun!" Gloria said, still without much energy. She hugged him tighter as they walked. "You smell nice." she said without shame. Oh Gloria, you really don't know when to stop yourself.

Yuuta found a cafe after walking a bit longer. He couldn't help but smile. His aftershave always had a way with the ladies. He was beginning to think that maybe he didn't have to be such a jerk to get what he wanted. He set Gloria down in a chair and pushed her in, then took his own seat.

"So Gloria, are you hungry, thirsty?" You can have whatever you want, my treat."

"Gloria wants to try coffee." She smiled. "Gloria heard coffee gives you energy, and energy is good for Gloria." 

A waitress came over to take their order at the cafe. Gloria began to listen to her speak, but couldn't understand anything. Frustrated, Gloria simply said coffee, hoping she understood.

Yuuta didn't know French, but he did see pictures on the menu and pointed to the coffee and held up two fingers. He also pointed to a potato and meat dish and held up one finger. The waitress smiled and took their menus.

"If you like, I can share my dish with you, food gives you energy too Gloria, it helps you feel better if you are really tired, maybe after we eat, we can walk around and find some place to stay....since we're here of course."

Awhile later the waitress returned with two coffees, some cream and sugar and Yuuta's meat and potato dish for them to enjoy.

Gloria blushed. She was going to stay with him? 

She tasted the coffee after it had cooled a little. Then a thought came to her after she ate some of his food. "Gloria wants to know how you can pay with this food without French Money."

Yuuta smirked at Gloria, she had so much to learn. He reached into his wallet and grinned as he said, "why with credit cards, its like money, but you can use it just about anywhere, it is almost universal." 

He paid and thanked the waitress for her help, he wasn't sure if she understood him, after all he spoke Japanese and a bit of English he picked up for business purposes. He walked over to Gloria and extended an arm as he asked, "are you feeling better, if you need to use my arm as support, feel free, now lets see if I can find us somewhere to stay." He said as he pulled out his phone.

"How is a piece of plastic money?" Gloria asked feeling frustrated. "Humans are weird."  She then eyed Yuuta as he extended his arm. "Gloria does feel better now, but Gloria likes holding onto you." She giggled as she took his arm. "Who you are calling?"

Yuuta looked at Gloria and smiled, she really was sheltered, he thought as he spoke. "Well its like money, see its kind of like I buy it now and pay later, its the best thing ever." He walked with her out of the cafe.

When she asked him who he was calling, he looked down at her as he spoke, "I am looking for inns, motels, hostels, anything that has an open room for the night?" After all we do need a place to sleep, unless you have any ideas?" He said, in a bland tone.

"Gloria has no ideas." She said, matching his bland tone, almost mocking him. "You should thank Gloria for bringing you for Paris."

Yuuta raised an eyebrow to Gloria as his phone came up with a small inn the two could stay at. He turned to Gloria, "thanks, but maybe next time, just make sure all your ducks are in a row, luckily I found us a place to stay and its not too far from here." He said as he walked toward the inn with Gloria.

When they arrived, Yuuta did his best to communicate he needed a room, he didn't know French and the innkeeper didn't know Japanese, but everything was settled. Yuuta took the room key and walked with Gloria to their room for at least the night.

When Gloria and Yuuta entered the room, Gloria instantly blushed. There was only one bed. Gloria jumped on the bed and sighed. "Gloria will be nice and share." She looked at Yuuta, afraid of his response. However, before he could answer, Gloria bounced off the bed and went into the bathroom to shower.

Yuuta followed Gloria into the room they would be staying in. He was shocked, to say the least that there was only one bed. He had hoped for two beds, but alas there was only one bed. He was about to protest Gloria's offer, but she was already off to take a shower.

Yuuta changed his clothes. He waited for Gloria to come out of the shower before he washed up for the night. He would find a way so that she could have the bed to herself. He did not want to come off as rude. He hoped his gesture wouldn't upset her, but he was trying to be a gentleman.

He was setting up a pillow with a blanket on the floor while he waited for Gloria to come out of the shower.

Gloria's wet hair dripped down her over sized shirt; her legs covered to her knees. Gloria always kept extra clothes in her shadow, she had to since she always made a home in abandoned apartments. 

She saw Yuuta making a bed on the floor, and sat down next to him and placed her hand on the pillow. "Yuuta will be uncomfortable down here." She said sadly.
