Nintendo's answer to Call of Duty! 




It's basically a paint ball game and it looks so much fun! I'm getting it! Anyone else? We should make a team for online! Since there isn't voice chat in the game we can make a Skype group for it!

FINALLY GOT IT!!! Omg!

After worked today, I had to take my grandma to the store. She took forever. I didn't get to Gamestop until 830. I also got the girl squid ambioo! I wasn't planning on getting them, but they had some left and the guy asked me if I wanted one.

I got it as well as the amiibo pack. I haven't played it too much yet since my boyfriend is over, but it is super fun!

I'm having a blast playing it! Online mode is great and there's no lag!

If the commercials you're talking about are the same ones that I'm thinking of, then I can see why. xD That "You're a kid, you're a squid" one is absolutely horrible. Hahaha

I'm actually glad to hear this game is hard to come by! It mean Nintendo did really well marketing this game. In Japan they sold out and had to apologize for it. Wii U sales went up in Japan too. This a big deal considering Japanese aren't one for shooters.

I'm not a shooter gamer, but this game is so addicting. I can't wait for Splatfest!

I just beat first player mode! The boss was awesome to fight, but a pain in the butt. ><

I didn't even know there was a first player mode. How many hours of gameplay does the single player mode last you?

Well there are 27 levels plus the four bosses. You can easily beat it in two-four hours. However I took my time through it because I wanted to make it last a bit longer. I need to go back to rebeat some levels. Each level has a scroll you can find and it gives you a little insight into the Inklings' world.

So there's a bit of a plot? Well, I did not see that coming. Also they're called inklings? That's so cute omg. 

Added to list of games I would get if I ever get a wiiU.

Yeah there's a bit of plot. The main focus on the game is the only multiplayer. The single player mode helps you get better at the game.

I think I'm on level 6 of the single player mode, but I like playing multiplayer better since I find playing with other people less repetitive. Single player is still pretty fun though -and like Goddess Yami said- a way to get better at the game. Online mode helps you unlock all of the weapons because you get EXP after each battle.

P.S. What exactly is the Splatfest? And do you think they will ever add a practice mode where you can customize opponent behavior (like in SSB) or at least allow you to shoot at targets that will actually parry attacks? I know there is the test mode, but I find it useless for practicing with the guns since everything is stationary and well, most players will get out of the way if they see you coming for them.

I am so happy for Nintendo. I hope this means we'll get a Splatoon 2 because this series has so much potential. Let me say this. I'm a not a shooter gamer. FPS look so generic and boring to me. While some do look cool (and are probably fun) to me it's just not my genre. I rather kill monsters than people in video games. On that note. This game is really fun and addicting. I have clocked in over 40 hours into this game. On my Wii U log I am close to 40 hours for total spent on the system this month. I have never play that long on my Wii U within a month. It feels so good to play something new and fresh (stay fresh! XD) While shooting isn't a new genre this game does feel new. 

For those who are doubtful give it a try! You might find yourself liking this!

Why did I get this game?

While I do love my standard Nintendo games I've been wanting a new IP for years. I wanted to give this game a chance. Plus last year at E3 the trailers sold me. It looked like a ton of fun. It's bright and colorful. The game has a ton of personality. The NPCs are awesome and the game is filled with puns.

In August they're giving the game a huge update to form teams with your friends and more modes. My friends and I are going to make Splatoon nights. I'm super excited for that!

OMG yes. I already saw some users asking for Splatoon RPs on DeviantArt, so maybe people would like the forum idea if you actually went through with it. I would totally RP Splatoon, but I need to finish the single player mode first. :bunnykonataeye

Hi guys! I'm new to GC and someone told me they had threads for games too so I decided to check it out. I'm so happy there's a Splatoon one! I see it hasn't been updated in a while but hopefully we can get it going again
Splatoon is one of my absolute favorite games! I finally got a Wii U for Christmas and I bought this one right away. I normally hate first person shooters because of the violence, but I adore Splatoon's unique, kid-friendly style and theme. The inklings are so cute!
I just recently beat the final boss (yay!) and am currently level 19. For weapons, the Aerospray RG is definitely my favorite, but I'm also a fan of rollers.
What are you guys' favorite weapons?

I have to admit that Splatoon's a lot of fun. I'm at Level 16 in multiplayer, though I'm 2/5ths into the story. I'm gonna try to finish the campaign mode soon.

Been having a lot of fun with this game since I got it for my birthday! I'm at level 41 right now and I am SO PUMPED for this month's Splatfest thanks to the theme!
