How many people here are still watching SMC? I'm rather curious myself, since I noticed since I've stopped that discussions haven't been as active as they once used to be. Looking at Niconico's website alone, you can see an alarming decline in viewership as time as gone on.

Do you still watch Sailor Moon Crystal? If so, why? If not, why? Keep in mind, this isn't a debate. I'm just curious as to why so many people are leaving. I'll post my own response later on.

I still watch it. I might not wake up at 6:00am anymore to catch the show, but I do watch it eventually within the day.  I enjoy the manga and I enjoy seeing it animated, and I hope that Infinity and Dream will be included because they are my favorite arcs in the manga.

I still watch Sailor Moon Crystal, but not on Nico Nico. I'll watch anything Sailor Moon, so this isn't really something I had to put serious thought into. I watched a few episodes on Nico Nico, but it doesn't seem to stream as well on my devices as some of the other options. I usually watch it on Crunchyroll now.

I still watch it!  I'm horrible at discussions, so I usually don't get involved with those.  I don't watch it on Nico Nico.  I usually watch it on goodanime.net.

I personally don't watch it anymore. Not since...episode 10 or 12, because I just wasn't having much fun. I'll probably catch up if I get extremely bored at some point. XD 

But I heard that it's airing on Japanese TV now, so that may account for at least some of the dropping off. A group of people are watching it via cable, or maybe even another site entirely.

I haven't watched the past few episodes. I keep forgetting and I'm not all that interested anymore. Also I watch on crunchy roll too cause adblock plus actually works on their site. Hulu won't play if it's on.

I still watch it and I use NicoNico. Why? Because I enjoy all things Sailor Moon. And it's nice to have new content, even if it isn't amazing. Gives me something to look forward to.

i kinda stopped after s1 ended mostly because i forgot and mostly because non sailor moon things came up. maybe when the non sailor moon things die down ill catch back up.

I watch it on Hulu, because I enjoy watching every episode at least once. I never had any expectations for this anime to shatter, so it's still a fun source of entertainment for twenty minutes of my week.

I'm infamous on this forum for my opinions on SMC so I don't even need to get into those. Up until a few episodes ago, I mostly watched the show because I was really into debating and talking about, in my opinion, the things that made it bad and the few that made it good. After a while though, I just stopped caring. I'm not sure why.

I do! They're actually handling the dark moon arc well. I just hope they don't blow it like they did episode 12-13

I do...as yet. My interest for SMC wanes more and more, the show starts to bore me. I'm only watching it because I want to know what you guys are talking about in the discussions xD

I'm still watching on niconico and I also still enjoy it- actually, I'm more hyped for every single Black Moon episode than I was for all of Dark Kingdom.
I'm just glad that I finally have a Sailor Moon anime that I can enjoy. The old one mostly annoyed me after a short period of time and I stopped watching. While Crystal does have flaws, it is still the story I want to see when I think of Sailor Moon. And I really like the style of art and the soundtrack.

I still watch on NicoNico. I can see how the interest waned because I had minimal to no feels from Acts 17-20. Then 21 came along and shattered my heart, reigniting my interest in the series. 22 was more plot with less feels, but I'm hoping we get the big character moments that make me cry in the last four episodes, because now all the plot pieces are in place.

The last episode I watched was 17. I didn't intend to halt, it's just that I got too busy re-reading some of the Sailor Moon manga volumes and finally reading the Stars arc for the first time. It was my top priority for the last two months. After that, I used up a lot of time coping up with the ending and having a reflection time (lol). I just didn't have the interest to watch last April/May. Now it seems like my interest still hasn't come back. My Niconico premium service already expired a month or so ago (yes, believe it or not I pay premium service for the sake of Crystal) and I'm torn on whether I should continue watching. I'll rewatch the previous episodes as well as the upcoming ones someday. But as of now, I'm not too keen to go back. It would be fun though to expierience the thrill once again: going to Starbucks, ordering a venti cup of Caffe Mocha with a piece of dessert on the side, waiting for six o' clock to arrive, flip out my iPad, and gleefully watch the new episode. Ahh, those not-so-long-ago days.. 

I stopped watching after episode 21 premiered. Even though Crystal was improving, it was always a self promise thing that i'd drop the show after the 21st episode had premiered.Why? it's for a reason nobody would get

I wound up putting it on hold after episode 9. There was too much going on for me to continue it. I plan to get back to it later though.

I watch anything Sailor Moon, so yes I'm still watching Crystal. I've never watched it on Niconico though. I always watch it on other streaming anime sites.

^ Ironically enough, that was from Sailor Moon Crystal, when they discovered Chibiusa is a princess.

Stopped watching. It was the episode right before the info dump episode. I didn't feel like hearing that Chibiusa is Usagi's kid again. So I've been putting it off. As of now I highly doubt I'll finish Crystal. I just don't care about Crystal. Arc one killed it for me and I could careless about the characters in this version. Plus this arc has been annoying with all the plot holes and such. But we won't get into that.  

Doesn't help that I'm not a big fan of the manga. XD

The last one I watched was 16. Honestly, I just thought it was really boring and a let down. XD I'll probably get around to finishing it at some point though just to complete it since I'm a SM fan.

The NicoNico numbers are relative only to Japan. As much as I know, in Japan people can watch new episodes of Crystal only on NicoNico (it was publicized like that, if I remember correctly). So there shouldn't be multiple choices for this, like in the USA. So the numbers should reflect the total amount of episodes' views that Crystal gathers in Japan through official channels. What about unofficial ones? Again, as far as I know, illegal streaming is not used so much in Japan, because their laws are more restrictive on these matters. But even if it wasn't like that, japanese fans are aware that their support to the official channel is essential for Crystal to continue. They are not giving it, but for some 30.000 hardcore fans that have proved consistent in their interest for the last 5 acts.
The 30k number comes from this link. This fan has managed to gather data about the precise number of japanese viewers (so, not just views) for every Crystal episode. Since we are both italians, I tried to ask him where did he get them. He said that NicoNico publishes them for a brief period of time after every episode.
I don't approve of the 'BoycottSMC' title of that Facebook page, but the information given is usually reliable and public, like the number of Crystal's blu-rays sold for every volume.

As for the tv airing... Yes, since April Crystal has started airing on TV, but they began from the very first episode, one for each week. 8 weeks or so have passed, so they are at act 8 as of now. Japanese fans cannot be watching the new episodes of Crystal on tv.

Well I'm still watching Crystal! I love it! I'm enjoying the new style of animation and the fact that they are still following the manga, pretty well. The thing for me is that I can't always watch it right away because I either forget that it's come out that week or don't have time. It still bothers me that it only comes out every other week, but I completely get the reason for it. 

I'm still super happy about how it has been. I love watching it when I can and I try to watch it with my brother's girlfriend when we both have the free time so she can catch up.

My mother and I are still watching and enjoying it in spite of all the flaws.

I stopped watching after they gave the Shitennou such a cheapskate death by having Beryl one-shotting them.

I mean, really, what's the point of keeping them alive for so long, only to kill them in under ten seconds? 

If anything, the Shitennou should've been given a chance to get back at Beryl for brainwashing them!

I watch it on Hulu. I look forward to watching it, I love it!

Definitely got the numbers from your idea! I ended up finding the last half myself.

And yeah, it stinks that we can't get accurate data on Crystal's views. Like it or not, it's still a very interesting topic.

I haven't been watching because I've seen too many reiterations of the first arc, so I wasn't interested in another retelling. I was more interested in the second arc, but with SMC on a bi-monthly schedule I've been too lazy to start watching. :p

You should watch it!!! The Black Moon arc has been done well overall so far.
