I am highly curious how many people on here own one. It seems like these days you're an odd one if you own this console. 

For those who don't own one. It's a wonderful system and probably the best one Nintendo has ever made. This should have been the Wii. I guess I'm praising it too high, but I will stand my ground.

My boyfriend and I were just looking at maybe getting one yesterday, but they're pretty expensive as is plus the games you have to buy for them xD But it sounds awesome! Says it can play original Wii games as well as snes and 64 and gamecube and such =o So definitely want to get one some dayxD

It's the cheapest console on the market right now! Get a bundle! =D

I have the Wii U at the moment, but my little brother played with it so much he broke the AC adapter. Sigh...I really wanted to play Super Smash Bros!

I really wish I had one so I could play Earthbound. But they're too expensive.

I own one!  I only play LOZ(I love WWHD, and playing SS on it) and the spin-off Hyrule Warriors on it, as well as Wii Fit U.  I've played Super Smash Bros a little. I also own Nintendoland and the only one that I've even played on that is the one that is LOZ related. 

There haven't been too many Wii U games that interest me to play on it.

Edit: I need to play Twilight Princess on the Wii U- Graphics are so much better on it than the Wii!

I own one as well! I really only have Super Smash Bros for it, but I'm getting Splatoon when it comes out.

I got the Super Mario 3D World bundle last year with a work discount I got for working on Thanksgiving. Haven't played it too much lately since I have been working and playing Pokemon Shuffle  and Rumble World on my 3DS.

As for Wii U games, I have Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros. Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze and a few VC games like EarthBound and Golden Sun.

Mario Kart 8 is my jam. It was worth the purchase of the console alone for me. Then again, I'm a huge Mario Kart fan.

The games done right on there are incredible, but there's just not enough third party support for me to justify it to most people right now. Purchase one down the line when they become cheaper.

Well, if you only really play Nintendo games, this is a pretty good buy. XD

As it stands though, the last game I've purchased for my console is Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. That was all the way back when it released in Feb. If it wasn't for Mario Kart, I wouldn't be playing my Wii U for months at a time. If it wasn't for my PC and PS4, I'd be going crazy right now.

Nintendo consoles are meant for Nintendo games. I really don't care about third party support. The Wii U has great first party games! There is a great third party game! Bayonetta! It's so much fun. It requires a lot of time though. As a gamer I think the best thing to do is own a Nintendo console then play everything else on the PC. Trying not to knock Xbox or Sony, but they don't have enough first party games. At least to my knowledge. Everything looks like third party to me.  But if you're a Sony fan I wouldn't blame you for buying their consoles. Screw Xbox.  

The Wii U also has great Indie games. It's actually the most affordable console right now. Plus Nintendo always have good bundles. 

Sorry I love Nintendo. The Wii U is a wonderful console and I honestly think it's worth it. I actually own three third party games. But yeah it sucks that most third party devs don't give Nintendo a chance. Stupid Ubisoft........

It still stands that if you're a gamer, you might be waiting months for new releases. Indie titles are great, but not everyone is into thousands of platformers.

I love the Nintendo brand. I've known it since before I could remember. However, the company has been really rude to third party developers, to anyone who wants to Let's Play their content who won't sign an atrocious license with it and to their very consumers themselves. I stood in line for an hour one day at a GameStop in hopes to get a Ness amiibo. The servers crashed at GameStop because so many people wanted one. Luckily for me, I was the third person in line so I got one. The seven other people behind me did not. That's frankly terrible. Earlier that day, I just so happened to get the exclusive Jigglypuff when it went up for only SEVEN minutes on Target's website. Other fans reported glitches that wouldn't even let them buy the thing.

What I'm saying is that you can love a console or brand while still being an aware consumer. I can't recommend a Wii U to a gamer right now until I personally have found ten single player nonindie titles worth playing.

Edit: Oh, and Bayonetta is freaking amazing. Looks gorgeous and plays extremely well with a pro or classic controller.

I understand what you are saying. Even though I'm die hard fan I can admit Nintendo does stupid things. All companies do. It's stupid that LPers have to deal with crap, but Nintendo for whatever reason is being old fashion. The whole Ambiio thing is crazy, but I think Nintendo didn't realize how popular it would be. They were taking a risk, but after wave one they should have increased the production. What we're on wave four and they're finally go to have certain ones go into reproduction? It's stupid.

I never played this game, but I head great things about Wonderful 101. 
Again never played, but Toad Treasure Tracker looks so much fun! I watched a LP on it and it's so freakn cute.

Future games coming out that I am excited for! Splatoon, Yoshi Wolly World, Mario Maker, and Zelda U. 


I really wanted to play the new Kirby game, but I didn't like the mechanics. That game belongs on the 3DS. Yes, the Wii U has touch controls, but home consoles are meant to be on the TV. The gamepad is great for off game play and for expanded menus. I hope they come out with another Kirby title. 

God I wish my wallet can refill itself. >.<

The more I think about it the more I want a Wii U more than any other system.... because well, Super Mario Maker, Splatoon, Hyrule Warriors, Super Smash Bros., and Mario Kart 8 (even thoug I'm not a really big fan of it after seeing how good it looks in the Nintendo World Championship I really want to play it).
The only reason I'd get a PS4 would be The Last Guardian.
