Hi contestants! for your first challenge you must use this animated gif. for this round, you will be judged by creativity, the most creative way to use this gif is gonna win this challenge.

Aside from the forum rules, we have a few rules:
~ The contestant CAN’T show anyone the graphic until the voting for said round is over (that way we can keep the contest anonymously until the results of the week)
~ The contestant CAN’T ask anyone to vote for his/her graphics
~ The contestant CAN’T use old graphics or other peoples graphics
~ The votes MUST be sent via google docs ]to send your entry please click HERE]
~ Icons must be Sailor Moon themes (fanart (if is yours ONLY), anime, manga, seramyu,PGSM).
~ You have to make one icon.
~ DEADLINE: April 15th by 6:30pm AST.
~ Icon size must be: 100px X 100px
~ You CAN’T put your nick/name on the graphic, since we want the voters to vote anonymously
~ If you can’t or don’t wish to participate in this round, you can use your 'Pass Ticket' but keep in mind that you can only skip one time in the course of the challenge.
~ Any other question or doubt, post it HERE, i will not answer any PM.

So, when I downloaded it, I got a PSD file that's just a white circle on a black background? Is that the right thing?

You open the .psd file in photoshop, and open the animation window and you will see all the frames.

Sorry for this, i was trying to make things easier for you and i tend to forget that some people use other type of software to make graphics, sorry :/ but i fixed the main post so the other ones download the .gif file ^^

you guys can deliver your entry till saturday at noon (AST).
remember, the file you are gonna use is now a .gif file, so it won't be a problem to use it on any software, also changed the main thread with the correct file.

I just wanted to point out gifs can be too advanced for some participants. I am able to do graphics using gifs, and I'm having difficulties figuring out how to use the provided image o.o But some people don't know how to work with gifs at all, so maybe try and tone it down for the next round or even start over? I'm not sure though cause someone submitted a graphic already and would suck to not have their graphic mean anything =o But yeah! I think not using gifs in the future rounds would be good! And if you plan to, state it in the sign ups thread so people know! ^^

^Yeah, this was my main reason for not doing this round. Gifs are hard to begin with, but resizing this one to even use on a 100 x 100 icon made it basically unreadable (it just became a circle). It was taking too much fiddling trying to figure out how to use it so that's why I passed.

Princess Moon you have to open it in photoshop (I have no idea what to do if you have another program, lol) then go to window > workspace > and then I think it's Animation or something similar. Then at the bottom there should be a play button you can push to see it move.

EDIT: Oh, I see above that you don't use photoshop. WELP, idk then, sorry!

And Diana, I agree that we should start over since a lot of people were confused. Maybe the person who already submitted can get a free pass on this round as compensation?

Even if I wanted to play it on GIMP - it's only one layer here. My computer thinks it's a .jpg file - when I want to save it as .gif it says it's saved under a wrong name and can't be opened unless it gets converted to .jpg

This is so confuuuusing. I have no idea of computers >.>

But I don't know how it's supposed to be animated when it's only one picture o.o I don't know how it works on PS but in GIMP I need more frames to play an animation. And as you can see I only have this one layer >.>

I get your point, will keep it on mind for the rest of the contest.

And, LIMS gather every type of digital art possible, i cannot describe on every contest what i'm gonna do ._. (there is no fun in that) but i will tone it down if i ever do a lims as an artist contest (i get the feeling you guys are not having fun with this), i will limit it to guilds unless in the future there is a tutorial on how to work with animations on gimp (because there is a tutorial on how to do animations on ps).

Ok, so, i actually forgot not everyone can do animations .__. so sorry about that, so i'll give you another option because i already planned this contest and re-doing it will change the whole game for me, so, you can send me the entry as a JPG file, this means, work with the circle in ANY way you can, do whatever you can do, use the skill you currently have but deliver your entry by tomorrow at midnight.

IF you still wanna use your pass ticket, let me know =).

I might redo mine then xD But in a way I'm proud of it because I've never used a gif on such a small canvas xD I couldn't figure out how to make the background of all the layers the same >.> So I might just leave it xD Thanks for the response =D

Basically you don't HAVE to make your final product an animated gif. Just use the provided graphic.
