I just noticed on the side of my comment in the Season 2 of SMC confirmed thread that there is a long red bar down the side of it. On others comments i can see a plus and minus thing. Is this to do with reputation?

Nope! See how now your comment is green on the right? It's because I clicked the plus sign. It's kind of like liking and unliking something on Youtube. But it doesn't really matter much on GC, no one really pays attention to reputation and things like that.
