| -I keep writing. Even if it's just a pile of nonesense, up until something comes up. -I read also, would it be old notes, old roleplays, current stories, sometimes reading again stuff I did in the past awakes the perfectionist (I have a number of irk pieces so it does wonders) within. -I take a break and come back later. -I do something that will inspire me (said something depends on what I was trying to write when the block came. -I read other author's books. Or reread stories that wooed me off my feet once.
I think that's about all I can think about right now. |

You paste in a sample of work that you've written, and it tells you what famous author you write like! |

But when I sent in a fight scene, I write like JK Rwoling.
Apparently it depends on what kind of thing I'm writing about. |

| I apparently write different stories in different styles. For one sample I got Dan Brown, another I got Edgar Allan Poe (still not quite sure why, haha), but overall I got Margaret Mitchell the most. |

| Well I mentioned it in the discussion night. I'm working through two stories right now; GC knows the fanfiction Sailor Moon X, I'm also working on an original story that was in fact inspired by one of the chapters in the fanfiction, a romantic drama with a lot of psychological themes. |

| Well, Whilst reading about Greek Mythology, an idea had struck me for a fic, I thought for a second, Serenity has a bit of semblance with Selene, Greek Goddess of Moon, as Chronos that is supposely father of Sailor Pluto, as we do also have Chaos, with those things in mind, I asked myself "Where are the rest? Zeus, Ares, Athena, Aphrodite, Apollo, Artemis..." so, the other Greek Gods, as Sailor Moon takes more parts of Greek Mythology.
So, with that in mind I thought about a unique tale that would have the element of 'Rage against the Heavens/Gods' and 'Divine Intervention', so, my idea takes an element prevalent in Greek Tales, tragedy, but where the lighthearted element of Sailor Moon is present in the end, the idea is basically, so, we know how much terrible is Hotaru's Life, in this AU she has a friend that really cares about her and often stays with her, so she doesn't stay alone all the time.
But as Hotaru is Sailor Saturn, our OC is not common too, he has the blessing of Delphi, prophecy and well, there was a reason of why there was not prophets in Earth, the Greek Gods, fearing their own possible death by a prophecy, sealed the Moirai, the Fates, thinking that if Fate itself is sealed, it wouldn't work anymore, but Fate itself is not something that you end up running away in Greek Mythology, in the end, Hotaru's friend ended up with the blessing of Delphi, and that attracted the attention of Hades...the God of the Underworld, fearing the pervasive Thanatos and thinking that if he kills the boy, Fate wouldn't have any power, did provoked the whole issue with Pharaoh 99, so later on he could offer a 'nice' proposal to this OC, give up of your own life in so in exchange Hotaru becomes a healthy girl...
And one day...when the Pharaoh 99 arc begins...Hotaru's best friend dies, she becomes healthy from nothing after eating a red apple that he left last time before dying for her...when she is mourning, a woman called Lachke comes to her, saying that her friend is not exactly dead, and that she can get him back...
From there the whole fic begins.
So? Any critics or ideas to complement? |

So? Any critics or ideas to complement? I personally am not super familiar with in-depth Greek Mythology, so I cannot say much toward your idea, but if you feel comfortable enough with the subject and think that you could apply attributes from the gods and goddesses in a way that demonstrates a clear understanding of the myths and shows readers that you have spent time researching the topic, I say go for it! The one thing that keeps me away from reading fanfiction in general (except with friends who are really skilled at finding awful fanfiction) is that some writers tend to create fanfics without doing their research on the topics they present, which makes the settings, situations, and characters very one-dimensional and/or not believable. For example, a few years ago, I recall skimming a few stories and biographies for Hetalia OCs based on countries the writer clearly had no clue about. It was not fun to read at all. xD; So yeah, as long as you plan out your idea and do some additional research to merge Sailor Moon canon with Greek mythology canon, I'm sure there would be people interested in reading the story. |

| Oh wow, I can't believe I missed this one! It's certainly an interesting idea Light Ark, you seem to have a decent handle on Greek Myth, but that's from a basic point of view, I'm no expert. It's no real secret that Sailor Moon has inspirations from Greek myth, I personally feel that the first story arc describes a logical extension of the original Selene x Endymion mythology and even uses some of the elements from the very story in Sailor Moon.
I totally agree with Anda but I think you should go for it in any case. Definitely do your research on the subject but get writing and see where your story will go. |

| Hi everyone~. I'm not working on anything at the moment... Sailor Mercury's organizational skills and nicely formatted challenge/game posts have pulled me in XDDD.
Since I'm the type of person that often needs external goals, I'm hoping to work through the checkpoints for Guild Journeyman here. Does anybody have any tips or are thinking of doing the same thing? |

| Yes I definitely need to! I was thinking exactly that so it's good to know I'm on the right track haha.
The checkpoints for Journeyman are appropriately open-ended, so I'll have to tailor it to move forward. I sat down this afternoon for all of 2 minutes to think of what I might want to write as my 15K word piece and although it was an exciting prospect, I sort of drew a blank XD. I seem to do well with prompts most of the time - at least for shorter pieces... I'm also hoping some of the challenges & contests will give me a bit of inspiration~. |

| XD Fun thing to bring back, Sports!
I put a few old writing contest entries in and got Agatha Christie, :confetti:thebestsellingnovelistofalltime Anne Rice which serves me right for putting in the abduction of endymion by serenity story so /shrug Agatha Christie again?!?! yaaaaaay! i should probably read a book of hers haha...hahaha... ...Anne Rice ...okay this was the harukaxmichiru one with the ningyo so okay supernatural butstillalittlesuspicious Anne Rice JK Rowling okay finally a different name? Anne Rice
.____________. okay so if i put in a longer piece it pops out Agatha Christie and if I put in a 1000- words one it gives me Anne Rice, unless it's 500 words or less in which it gives me either Rowling or Rice.
Good attempt, algorithm. You almost had me going.
